Should I even ask how much they want for that?
I'm sure there's already been speculation in this thread but this whole arc seems like some last minute stuff by Coates(maybe some pressure from Marvel).
Let's look at it:

There's no lead up to this story, we just jump right in with no background whatsoever.

Very little dialogue and what dialogue there is is standard jargon with uncredited quotes sprinkled in.

"The art is telling the story", which imo tells me Coates isn't that much into writing this story. I could be wrong but that's the feeling I get.

There's been more action in 2 issues of this arc than in the first two combined. Maybe somebody told him to get off his philosophical high horse for now and tell a comic book story.

He had to shake things up because he was steady losing readers. You can write a political comic. You can write a social relevant comic. You just can't write a boring comic. His BP was becoming more and more boring.

Coates has been moving more and more towards comics that let the art tell the story. When he started, he made the same mistake Kevin Smith did when starting. His comics were very overwritten and filled with words. But that at least changed since he did the silent issue a little after Legacy. I had commented previously that I thought that was the best written issue to date in terms of crafting comics. I think he wants to demonstrate more versatility as a comics writer. This arc has very much been Coates embracing his weakness (scripting action) and trying to overcome that. I'm doubtful that it demonstrates a lack of interest unless the script was done Marvel Method (which I don't think writers actually do anymore).
Yeah. Selene did appear in Cap before.
If he's going to use an X-villain, I just don't get why he used Selene instead of radical groups like Friends of Humanity. Would have been more relevant.
Well when you are still auditioning for that X-book and if you need a reason for Storm Panther to show up and save the day-you use an X-villain.

That art looks like they put stickers on a page and added some "swooshes" lol

Black Panther mythos need to create and use their own ****, not borrow from other franchises.
If 616 Killmonger needs a fancy suit so bad, then make his suit out of Anti-Metal.
For sure. An antimetal suit would actually be bad ass because he would completely counter the habit entirely. I know Coates is unoriginal and cannot come up with his own ideas and borrows constantly. But your idea is stellar

How hard is it to incorporate the damn MCU habits into comics? Getting really tired of Black shadow with eyes

I feel like the MCU BP design is getting worse over time. T'chaka had the best suit (could do without the cloth garb part though) which downgraded to the CW costume which was admittedly still pretty cool, but then in his own movie, they moved to the new design which had the actual eye holes and had been toned down from the sharper style of the CW costume. I know it's a preference thing but I don't like the new suit, plus, gold and black looks so much better than black and silver. The glowy purple bit was kinda cool though.

I'm not so sure. He just started writing Captain America, another action oriented comic. He can do less dialogue for BP while focusing on Cap.
This isn't him trying to embrace his weakness. This is him lobbing a softball with the Space Empire/rebel T'Challa/Nakia and M'Baku story and doing less lifting in the process, leaving Acuna to do the story-telling.
Like I said earlier, if he had begun with this arc and built on this, he may have had a better reception from some BP fans

Not to go off topic for long but didn't they push the Storm solo back? If Coates made that decision then why?
He had his opportunity right there.

yeah I have to agree. This story is completely different from what he was doing before. Not in a way that one who says they have 5 years worth of story to tell either. I think it's about time Redjack got hos chance to tell BP. He was interested in it. So long as he has time
