They can find a love interest for T'Challa if they wanted to. I just hope it's something that would last a while and won't be destroyed later due external factors.
Wouldn't bringing back Azari bring up the obvious question of "who's the mother" and "why isn't he with her" and all that? Do those questions matter, at all?
Apparently not, because they clearly didn't get answered with Kymera, ask Greg Pak ...
-
And why pray tell, would it not happen in a BP book?
People only complain when T'Challa and Wakanda get chumped out by writers passing through onto other writing gigs.

Pak made it clear that he wanted no parts of exploring Kymera's origins which says a lot about how seriously the X-Office took the character..........Not.
I think Shuri will be back. I just hope they bring back a few others like QDJ, Zuri, Ramonda, M'Baku and Killmonger. BP's needs a consistent supporting cast like all the other characters get.
I hear you my brotha from anotha mother. :)

The Kymera situation hasn't been answered yet? lol damn...
QDJ is an enigma lol. I like the character but it was as if she was in the story, for the sake of being in in the story. I may have to re-read the second half of the Priest run in case if missed something concerning her.
I think if they showed a more mature QDJ like what they did with Shuri, then it would work for her.

Queen Divine Justice totally rocked.

I think that's why it's arguably a better idea NOT to have a super hero date another super hero. It potentially brings about external factors that you are far less likely to deal with if a love interest is directly from a characters own supporting cast. Superman dating Wonder Woman involves some degree of editorial oversight with the two books and it's alway spossible one side might wanna do something else. But Superman dating Lois Lane is essentially all on the Superman side of things... it's very unlikely any other book will get involved.
And it's why T'Challa geting with say Monica Lynn (essentially his Lois Lane) is an easy option. It's unlikely anyone is going to bother breaking them up. No one outside of the BP book would likely care enough to bother.

There have been only two supporting characters that have made the transition from one BP volume to the next and that's Ramonda and Shuri. Not counting villains.

That would be very interesting actually.

She did bro.

Zawadi may not be a bad choice either. She was apart of the Panther Clan, and she was able to ingest the Heart Shaped Herb, so it's assumed she has the same powers as The Black Panther. It'd be nice if they expanded upon how she was able to get away with that. T'challa actually has a huge amount of interesting characters, under the right pen a lot of them can easily be revamped and brought back into the center of things.

Once they go rid of that stupid "Paris Hilton with anger issues" Shuri, we got a much better character because she matured. I don't see any roblem with QDJ having a prominent position within the Royal Family. Leader of the Midnight Angels maybe.
My money is still on them just using Monica Lynne since I'm guessing that's who they'll probably use in the movie (again, that's a guess).
Not that comics need to follow the movies of course... but it's an understandable way to go.
Yea but Monica Lynne is such a boring Character, honestly i would rather see T'Challa with someone Formidable in her own right, Wakanda is a warrior nation and its queen doesn't need to be a "Damsel in distress" for him to have to constantly save, and maybe it was just how Priest presented her, but she was just a ungrateful and extremely annoying in that run, to the point where it was like why is she even present.
Were the Dora's that young outside of the Priest run? I always assumed they were young adults afterwards.
Never really said in other runs, but since Priest was the only one to mention an age and you cant go off of appearance because in priests run they didn't look like 16 year olds at all, we can only assume that they are teenagers. They could change the age to make it ok i suppose, but that might cause issues for the dora milaje since its in place to keep the tribes at peace.
Queen Divine Justice is the worst character Priest ever created and I would take any character back before her
What was your issue with her? I really liked her as a character, especially when her and Ross go together, they brought great comedy to the run, especially when you first meet her and she convinces the hulk to go clubbing. Also she had her uses, she was apart of the Jabari tribe which connected her to M'Baku and T'Challa kinda used her as a way to get back at M'Baku, granted it was a low blow but there was some interesting backstory and potential for her, and she was just a pretty cool Dora.

Easily one of the most classic moments in Black Panther History!!!
