Great drop Majestic! :D
I'm posting this at blacksciencefictionsociety.com
Sundays at Comic-con are usually wrap ups and days to find discounts on leftover merchandise and rarely worth the time to stick around for late announcements!
Cars, vans and SUV's are packed up for return road trips and people not sticking around San Diego for extended vacations leave before Monday with pre-booked flights!
Exhaustion settles in after all the booths and panels visited are absorbed and life begins to return back to normal!
I always recommend that a person do at least one Comic-con in their life just for the experience as it is vastly different from any other type of convention out there!
The energy and the passion is unmatched anywhere else and there is a sense of freedom to be you that exists in no other venues!
I of course stopped going first due to the lack of Black Panther merchandise and now due to still no Black Panther presence! ;)
This is a good thing for now because if the Black Panther does not have an official "Point Man" to oversee the direction this intellectual franchise takes any announcements could later be backed away from in the same manner it was done when Wesley Snipes was attached to it decades ago!
The 50th anniversary for Black Panther comes up in 2016 and that may be the time to strike hard so rest this off and let's get back to TROLLING... OOPS I mean pushing Marvel for that particular goal to be met!
-
Is it really the 50th anniversary of the panther next year? Gee I hope marvel is ready
-
The 50th anniversary is actually 2016 since the Black Panther was created in 1966 about three months before the founding of the Black Panther Party!
-
Thinking about ordering "WAKANDA" customized plates for my new car but my wife isn't super excited about that plan.
-
If you were three steps ahead of your wife you would have gotten those customized plates three years ago and altered the time space continuum of the sliding timescale so that the day before you got them kept repeating itself over and over like Groundhogs Day so that she never knew you had them all along!

I'm there for you bro all day every day...

I get the urge to do that, but you might as well get plates that say "Negro driver, pull over immediately"
-
The detailed comicom trailer description for Age of Ultron had 2 things that could be related to BP/Wakanda in the movie verse...
I'll use spoiler tags just in case
[spoil]
- They mention Captain America shield getting shattered... possible EMH opportunity (or they coudl use Thor's Uru like Fear Itself I suppose)
- one description mentioned during the "destruction montage" that it looked like one of the locals was in Africa
[/spoil]
and back to the movie schedule... with the 3rd date added adn GOG confirmed and Fiege confirming he likes to alternate new and old movies...
May 1, 2015 – The Avengers: Age of Ultron
July 17, 2015 – Ant-Man
May 6, 2016 – Captain America 3
July 8, 2016 – Doctor Strange
May 5, 2017 – Unannounced
July 28, 2017 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2
November 3, 2017 - Unannounced
May 4, 2018 – Unannounced
July 6, 2018 - Unannounced
November 2, 2018 - Unannounced
May 3, 2019 – The Avengers 3 (liikely, not confirmed)
That is a whole lot of announced movies. The only thing we KNOW for sure we are getting that I didn't list was Thor 3 which could fit anywhere but 2017 is probably more likely unless they really need an established movie for 2018...
Unless Iron Man 4 is looking more and more likely. I think Disney bites the bullet and does it TBH. Both May 2017 and 2018 are the BIG spots for Marvel and I don't see them using those spots for Inhumans, Black Panther, or Ms Marvel. Those dates start the momentum for the summer for them... seems more likely that Thor 3 and Iron Man 4 would fit (or Hulk)
To me, it looks like there are 3 spots left for new franchises... I really don't see how BP gets passed up at this point.
we already new Marvel was shooting in South Africa. All we know for sure is that a Hulk fight takes place there. Not sure if anything more happens in that location.
Y'all need to stop torturing yourself with this BP movie news. Sad to say but we've got nothing. Just a bunch of black actors who would love to land the part if the movie ever gets traction.
We've had rumors of a rough script going as far back as 3 years ago, but at this point I call bunk on any script info.
Kevin Feige says the BP movie is absolutely in development, which probably means he talked about with someone at the urinal.

It's sad too because I see nothing in the Ant-Man mythos that would really add anything new to the MCU, whereas a BP movie would definitely add some cool stuff to the MCU.
-
Yeah they stripped Ultron from Ant-man without that totally skippable.

Three years ago was simply the most recent script tweeking. The movie's been in and out of development for at least 15 years. But yeah, I agree we shouldn't be getting too excited over every rumor.

That's really cool, thanks for the info!
As for rumours, I think it's worth keeping hope. I reckon vibranium will be something that keeps getting mentioned and wakanda is bound to appear in some form in age if Ultron. After that it's only a hop skip and a jump to a black panther movie!

Good call. Maybe I'll just go with the general issued plates.

Didn't they mention Wakanda in one Iron Man movie already?

Showed up on the map in IM2 while Fury was talking to Iron Man and that's been about it.
