And then the Build-a-Figure, Okoye.
Are all members of Hickman's Illuminati available?
Not in the Black Panther wave. Strange had his own wave for his movie and I'd expect Beast to show up in an X-Men wave since those are usually big sellers. I'm guessing the only reason Black Bolt is there is because they wanted a figure for him because of the TV show, but the Inhumans aren't popular enough to justify doing their own ML wave.
That was incredibly disrespectful on Hickman's part.
T'Challa should be above booty calls.
Moreso having him bed Ororo just as the world was about to end without telling her what was going on, made him look like the callous bastard the X-Office clearly enjoyed characterising him as.
Damn....from Mayberry to Hickman, and now Coates....the baton passing has been seamless...except for that pleasant interruption from Liss.

In regards to the action figures:
+ Erik Killmonger isn't just a repaint. The sculpt is different from any of the Black Panther figures
+ Nakia - I was worried the women weren't going to get any love
+ Okoye (see above)
+ I now don't have to buy the Walgreens exclusive Namor
+ With Black Bolt, I can now recreate most of Hickman's Illuminati (Mr. Fantastic is due out late this year/early 2018 to my knowledge as a Walgreens exclusive). I can also do any "Three Kings" business with BP, BB, and Namor.
- No version of M'Baku or Klaw
- No Shuri (though I suspect we might see her as a retail exclusive or in a two-pack like they did with Valkyrie)
- Ugh, another Iron Man (though it doesn't look like he comes with any BAF pieces, so in theory, I can skip it)
- How is M'Baku not the build-a-figure? How??
- How is M'Baku not the build-a-figure? How??
Budget most likely. I've noticed with the more recent movie waves they like to have some characters who can be easily recycled as a cost saving measure, but in this case even Iron Man is brand new. It was probably more economical to use Okoye since she's smaller and has a lot of parts that look like they were reused in Nakia.
There was a lot of complaints about how the most of comic book figures in the recent Ragnarok wave were either repaints of older figures or just lazy kitbashes like Young Thor, which was done for similar reasons. The movie figures by their nature are more expensive to produce and have less reuse value in most cases.

I see your point (we're still waiting on an MCU Vision after all).
I do like Young Thor's new bodymold as a replacement for the Hyperion/Sentry model. I thought the Ragnarok wave was great just for the BAF (and I didn't have a Thor or Loki, so that made it a plus).
EDIT: Speaking of which, I'm still surprised that all of the MCU Black Panthers are new molds. I was comparing the new suit to the Civil War suit and the only pieces that might be recycled are the clawed hands and the fists. Killmonger as well.

I'm a big ass kid. I'm envisioning taking them out of the box and reenacting the movie from beginning to end. Lmao

It's not surprising that Steve and Cap would have conflict in this book. First time Steve met both T'Challa and his grandad, he ended up throwing down. Really, back in the day in marvel anytime 2 heroes met for the first time they ended up fighting.
More important than the actual fight, I hope they flesh out the friendship they end up forming. Prior to Hickmans run, I always thought Steve was BP's best friend in the hero community.

But you have to get Namor to get her arms? They couldn't have swapped out Namor for Klaw or something?

That's how Marvel Legends waves are structured for movies. It's usually half movie figures (sometimes less) and then a bunch of comic figures who are tangentially connected to the subject matter. For instance, putting Iron Fist and Nico Minoru in the wave for the Doctor Strange movie or Moon Knight in the recent Spider-Man: Homecoming movie wave.

You and everyone else here know he's not "tangentially connected to the subject matter" since he flooded Wakanda while possessing a part of the phoenix force. Under normal circumstance (the rest of what you said) yes I know (I used to talk about toy collecting in the Minorities in other media thread a reboot or two ago). HERE though feels like a subtle fu to fans of BP. Fans of just the movie won't know the difference unless they research it (and they probably won't). Win/win for whomever thought it was a good idea. Clever in an effed up sort of way.

The upside being if you are a BP fan, you potentially can have a lot of fun with that Namor action figure if you want to.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. If it were just Namor and if movie waves in general didn't do stuff like this, yeah, I guess I could see how that'd be interpreted, but it's not. They clearly had a sort of Illuminati theme going for for the comic figures since the other two are Iron Man and Black Bolt, were on the Illuminati with T'Challa. (Though more cynically I'd assume they put in Iron Man because they wanted at least one recognizable white A-lister, but that's a whole separate argument).

I'm sure you do. Think its a coincidence all you want then.
