“Black”, “Homo”, And “Freaking Females”: Heated Scenes At Marvel Retailer Q&A At New York Comic Con
These damn blacks, homos and freaking females are messing everything up! :(
Though they say why not just create new heroes, but there's a new black panther book and that one white guy says he's only going to sell 4 copies of it.
So i guess they just want original black, homo and freaking female books just so they can more easily ignore them and thrown them in the bin?
If true, that's kinda racist.
In my opinion.
What do you guys think?
I bet $25 that didn't say blacks/black, but N-word /N -words instead...

All a part of "MAGA".
Racists are now emboldened by a POTUS who they think embodies everything they believe in although he doesn't give a rat's ass about them either.
Anyway, if some retailers don't want to sell comics that embrace diversity then they will soon be seeing a lot less of another color - green
Capcom is like the only company that doesn't seems to grasp this concept and just releases half finished products while charging for the rest. So they deserve the amount of hate and infamy they get.
I guess you never played a 2K2 game.
NBA 2K17 is the FIRST time I am able to play the journey or single player game.
Every other time it CRASHED on me.

If you are a store that flat out struggles to sell POC led books period-I could understand.
However that does not mean you behave that way.
Also if Marvel made every book a Black Panther title and you can't sell them for many reasons we can think of-that is not Marvel's issue. Because the same person who threw fits over BP The Crew & WOW was the same one who didn't buy Fantastic Four and others. Which is why Marvel gave BP WOW & Crew shots to begin with.
Because you sell OTHER comic book companies's books. If your readers can't find a book to read that is YOUR issue.
Retailers out themselves as the bigots they’ve been called out for being, this shouldn’t be a surprise nor should the caping fans are doing for them or the folks who’ve completely missed the those problematic comments
LOL they want PROOF. While calling Legacy a failure after one day or DC does diversity right with four POC solos that will be looking up at Moon Girl soon.

Someone better check the Kimoyo bands to see if Zenzi was hiding up in there. Crazy
-
Crazy thing is if you give them the normal line up they'll start complaining about the stories being recycled and Marvel doesn't have the ability to do anything new.
-
I'm fortunate enough to have a very good LCS owner. He's not a comic fan at all, he's about making money and he will order it if you ask. And he has a good staff as well.
-
Mine only orders what they expect to sell and pull boxes. They only have three to six months of back issues if I'm lucky.
The other comic store in town is a mess. Comics everywhere.

Why is Killmonger in a "Year One" BP story?
Better question is, why isn't The White Wolf in this?

That's one of coolest thing about a year one. We potentially get to see Hunter and Shurt back in the day.

I'm disappointed but not surprised. There's always some sort of controversy around minority characters. The whole "original characters" bit is straight up ridiculous when you consider a number of white legacy characters that were accepted without a peep before this started happening. 700 Bat-children are cool but the moment an Arab or black kid is involved it's too much for them. It's not just Marvel, Star Wars and other large franchises have had people attempt to boycott their products because racists managed to bitch about a black, gay or female character.
I'm glad Marvel has the balls to back up those characters. I'm glad they haven't caved into racists and buried black characters because of them. *cough* Trevor Barnes *cough.*
The comic book community has always had vile racists bubbling underneath. The fact that it's nearly impossible to name a big interracial comic couple that doesn't have any controversy and/or backlash surrounding them should be enough proof.

So apparently, I've missed a lot. Is T'challa going to have 2 different books at the same time again or is Coates leaving for someone else to write it Could someone sum up these announcements for me?
This thread moves fast.
When Logan died, was he still in the relationship with Storm or did they break up shortly beforehand? I'm actually curious at how Marvels going to handle a potential love triangle. I hope it's better than last time.
