I've stopped reading the main title 6-7 issues ago so I have a few questions.
Who does T'challa answer to these days? Why's he still in Wakanda if he doesn't want to be and the people don't want him there? Has his relationship with Ororo been defined?(I just think it's weird how she's still going around kissing people while he's expected to be loyal to her).
You do realize that ANY other writer in the marvels events history hasn't made Panther even top 8. Reed was clearly the star followed by Doom and Panther evenly.
Lol so because others have been inept then JHick should get a past for being slightly less inept, Naw I'm good on that but if that fine with u cool .

Pretend the first 12 issues didn't happen. I think Coates did. Lol. The new govt. doesn't matter as they do nothing but ask for help. Considering there is a tribal council in Rise of BP, you can void out the first arc.
All that's left over is the Dora live in the Jabari lands and as we have seen none with Tchalla, we can assume the order has been disbanded.
Funny enough Priest has done more with the new govt. than Coates has.
Ewing in his Ultimates following SW had Tchalla:
Outsmart and help cure Galactus
Fried Thanos Brain using remnants of the cell holding him
Had his habit stripped from him by a psy tech user and took down her armor in a single blow to disrupt her telepathic connection
Battled, defeated and took the tiger gods power
Used said tiger gods power to help defeat logos.
Imo Ewing did More
I would of said Tchalla restored 616 (he did) but Tom brevoort in an interview takes that feat from him and simply said he went back in time
That's not quite what Breevort actually said. In fact both Breevort and Hickman himself were pretty confused about whether or not the time or the reality gem was used.
All Breevort really said was that everything that happened in Hickmans run still happened.

I am sure Shawn James will have yet another video bashing Panther. While blaming SJW for killing the industry.
It's kind of a shame that the MCU by virtue introducing BP in the movies that it takes away from the fact that it was the Fantastic Four comic is where his character was given birth. He was a supporting player in the scheme of things in relation to the Fantastic Four. It probably will take years for the FF (and Doom) to appear in the MCU and it will more than likely be without the fanfare and honor of being first that they deserve. You have no sour grapes on your plate....you have a movie that has made close to a billion dollars and now millions of fans. Enjoy and embrace it.
Nobody care who came first. NOBODY except entitlement fans.
Maybe the REAL honor would be the FF appearing first in say Black Panther 3 with their rocket ship being built by Wakanda.

he wasn't inept at all. His showcasing of Panther lead to the comic sales that Coats initially saw. Panther wasn't going to solve an unsolvable problem. That was the point of the story. Panther did however come out looking like a boss and major player in the MCU, plus his rivalry with Namor was as interesting to readers as anything else that happened in that run.

But the Tribal council in Rise also sort of shows why you can argue more checks and balances in Wakandan government might be needed. T'Challa completely disregards what the Tribal Council thinks... his response to their objections was to remind them they can fight him at the next competition.
In the new government T'Challa can't necessarily do whatever he wants. To help the Doras he had to sort of bend the rules a little behind everyones back. He was still able to do what he needed to do, which is the important thing... but he needs to work the system a bit to do it.

And that's how its going to be until the next writer rewrites it. Tchalla going to do and get what he wants, Coates just added extra steps. lol

Basically yeah... but that's exactly why a writer doesn't need to rewrite it. T'Challa can get his way if the story requires it. But there's also potential issues if that's required from the story as well. It's basically set up in a way where it's only an issue if the writer feels it's needs to be one for the sake of the story.

I do however prefer the baller moments when he can tell people to shut up instead of sneak around them. Baller moments over politics. Lol

It's really a matter of whether a writer wants to tell a super hero story or a more political story. In T'Challa's case he can do both. If they want him in super hero mode, then a writer can bypass any political implications and just have T'Challa get whatever he needs. However, if a writer wants to tell a more political story then they can.

Black Panther has finally graduated to A-lister.
Do you guys believe this will translate into the comics? Black Panther is now a PROVEN character.

Will it translate to comic book sales? Probably not, at least in the short term. Movies thus far haven't pushed the needle all that much.
But in the least this will ensure that a BP comic will always be on the shelves. Even if the sales are so-so, there's really no risk at this point of the character ever going away. Comic sales are almost irrelavent at this point since it's already a billion dollor IP anyways.
