I enjoyed BP #1 more way more than I thought I would.
When was the last time BP had an artist this good on the book?

Though the BP book has had several good artists that I've liked, I'm honestly not sure it's gotten a legit A lister since JRJ at the start of Hudlins run.
But that's one of the perks of being elevated into an A list franchise. You start attracting some of the top artists on the book. And he compliments the story perfectly
Apparently, the story with Michael B. Jordan coming back and Childish Gambino having is false.
that's too bad. I bet that Gambino could reinvent Achebe is a satisfying way (speculation).

I wouldn't mind Erik coming back... But not until the 3rd movie, abd definitely taking s different route other then trying to get the throne

Nah Erik should stay dead. I’m okay with him appearing in he ancestral plane but a full on resurrection? Nah.

Agreed. I liked his death and felt it had a ton of emotion. Bringing him back to life would undermine that for me. The Ancestral Plane is good for him.
Also, I liked the today's issue. The art was nice and the story-line is interesting. I also look forward to seeing Emperor N'Jadaka as well.

Just my personal opinion I wouldn't mind it. But if he stays dead then that is okay too. Marvel needs it's good Villains to bit die lol

Deodato drew some of hickman and then original sin. Rocafort on ultimates.
But for a solo... yeah. Although Palo on SWaD is one of my fav styles. And i moved the style of Kingpin of Wakanda
I loved loved loved issue 1. beautiful art, action packed, and a king wanting to go home to his queen; his queen being the only thing he remembers that reminds him of home. who could ask for anything more?
So I just read Black Panther #1 Spoiler Free Thoughts:
Great issue! Good Balance of dialogue, and action! Very interested in where this story is going and what it could potentially set up for BP stories moving forward! My guess is Coates may not do a Season 4, so I hope who ever takes over after him is respectful of the world building and sense of continuity Coates has brought back to BP.
agreed thoroughly enjoyed this issue.
What do you guys think if T'Challa & co were to remain cosmic and fully leave Earth behind?
Is that an absolute "No" or would you be down with it?
no I dont mind him going to space from time to time but his home is wakanda.
Absolution no. Firstly I don't think it would make sense for them to abandon Wakanda. And secondly because making him a cosmic character essentially removes him from the main action and puts him in a niche setting.
Let csmc characters be cosmic characters. T'Challa should stay on earth. He can go into space from time to time. Avengers do that too.
agreed.
I don't see a point of re-introducing M'baku. 616 version is alive, can easiily become like the MCU if they want (just need a redemption story). No reason to make it convoluted.
Nakia I can see. But then... it would just put Coates at odds with himself since he loves Storm. There is no reason to bring back a different Nakia unless you are going the MCU Queen Nakia route.
I'm hoping that tchalla doesn't fall in love with this nakia. that is my only concern thus far.
Definitely looking forward to seeing T’challa’s interactions with Nakia. Especially since this version isn’t the psycho stalker.

If you're extending it beyond the BP solo book, then he had some nice artists during Hickmans New Avengers.
