Yeah, but the movie spent a fair chunk of time instructing the audience about how T'challa's uniform absorbs and redirects kinetic energy. Anyone who uses a ranged weapon against him like guns, arrows, force blasts, shields, etc, are just making him stronger and faster. Hell, by not having a ranged weapon, he's actively encouraging enemies to take shots at him and empower his attacks. It's the Sebastian Shaw school of owning fools. MCU Panther is really good at it.
No, by not having a ranged attack, he's leaving himself open to more sophisticated attacks, leaving himself without the means to retaliate. Because the next people who come gunning for him personally are going to take his suit into account.
-
But I'm not seeing why a character couldn't be just as cool without having the same name.
I would also hope we're firmly past the idea that comic book movies help sales in the direct market. That hasn't been shown to be the case in years. At most, it increases trade sales, which are apparently much stronger than direct market sales right now anyway.

I think there will be some kind of upgrade. I agree, you don't want to keep taking hits unnecessarily.
I think some kind of energy absorption force field wouldn't bee too bad. It could redirect the energy to the suit. It doesn't need to be Sue Richards level but something effective.
Energy daggers would be a good addition to the MCU Panther and he's already been shown to be very effective with them in the comics and the animated shows.
Because comic Nakia oabt cutting it and movie Nakia is the one that needs to make it to the comics straight up. It's just like when the movie drops people see Black panther in all its greatness, go to the comics and see... None of that. Black Panther is one of the few movie franchises that would benefit greatly from adopting it's MCU versions. And no, a character isn't Cool simply for having the same Name, but having the sane motivations and attitude (and not being a teenager who goes love obsessed and crazy stalker killer) would make her cooler
If you need to completely change the character then you might as well simply use an entirely different character.

MCU Nakia = Comic Malaika. Bring Malaika back.

Amen! And for Bast's sake, just because two characters have the same name doesn't mean one should never be used again. By that logic, John Constantine should never be used because he has the same first name as John Stewart.

That would be easiest.
Frankly, none of the MCU versions match up with the comics well at all.

Course, presently there's only one Nakia in the comics anyways so it's sort of moot at this point.
There are multiple Malices however.

I think the daggers will make an appearance, like mentioned he needs a ranged attack, or the force push needs to be upgraded to a concentrated ranged strike as well. Personally I would rather the Dagger be added as it allows for his different tech to each have unique uses

Nope, M'Baku was used and he is very different from his comic counterpart, same with Okoye, same with W'kabi, same with Shuri. By your logic they should all be replaced

No, by my logic they all should NOT be replaced.
The point being that the comic and movie versions are different, and there's nothing wrong with that. They don't need to turn the comic version into the movie version, or vice verse because they are different characters. If you want T'CHalla to be romantically involved with someone who isn't a teenage stalker killer, simply have him not date a teenage stalker killer. Problem solved. You don't need to completely change the Nakia character to achieve that.

Yeah, there were many people who didn't want to see M'Baku in this film worried about this portrayal.
Needless to say that M'Baku was a big hit.

Outside of T’Challa, my favorite character was M’Baku. He had me dying with that Igbo accent when he came to fight T’Challa and everyone loved his interactions with the royal family. I hope he and the Jabari get more focus in the sequel, especially if it focuses on gods and magic. I’m sure he’ll have some interesting things to say.

Nakia ain't being used. She went into comic Limbo along with a bunch of other characters. If Aneka can wmbe revamped, deaged and turned into a lesbian, then in pretty sure Nakia can be revamped, aged and turned into a badass MCU counter part. And Yes there are Characters from the comics who would benefit greatly from Their mcu versions, especially since those MCU versions have Alot more development and people Care more about them
Woah there bruh I think he just meant she builds them for T'Challa. Hasn't the man lost enough? Not the daggers
Some people are happiest when T'Challa is stripped down to his Vibranium underoo's and even then, they're not satisfied. Lol!
