Why da hell did so many peeps change their names? LOL!
Lol. I changed mine just to match some of my social media.
Anyways, Original Sin #1 was interesting. I like the fact that T'Challa is being assigned to lead the team he has, but I don't know how I feel about the fact that it's a team he's assigned, rather than one he picked himself. I'll be curious to see how the issues continue to develop this.

Original Sin #1 was a nice surprise. I think Im "in" as so far as buying the series.

We'll Jason is no longer part of the X world.

Aaron was just "following orders". I dont take his marriage/character assassination personally:)

Hi everyone! It's been a while.
Where is BP right now? I haven't seen him for a while.

Still in NA and now in Original Sin.

I was planning on riding it out whether it was bad or good. For different reasons though. I'm glad that it at least appears to be "ok" at first glance, so I won't be alone in reading it.

lol. Just following orders put peeps in dangerous situations. I wonder if Hydra will make some sort of Original Sin appearance or in a tie-in. I mean it would be a shame to miss the high profile Captain America 2 has given both Shield and Hydra.
Also.
remember the times.

I finally finished my Priest Black Panther run during the back issue sales of Free comic book day - even found the dreaded #23 Deadpool issue. Ive been picking away at this run literally for years. Ive read and re-read #1-20 a few times, now I can finally get to reading the full thing.
Are there any other BP runs that even compare - or is Priest's still the pinnacle? Its crazy the full thing isnt collected in trades yet. I am enjoying BP's appearances in New Avengers. The character is finally getting some major air time.

Priest is still the best but McGregor's run was excellent.
Well.
I was actually thinking that I want my old one back. lol.
Decent showing from Jason Aaron using T'challa. Pleasant surprise, but still guarded.
Yea me too. I liked it though.
-
I am scarred for T'challa when he gets around an X-book character (Emma)... especially one as snarky as she is AND who lead to Wakanda being swamped with water.
And, as far as I remember, Emma's telepathy is still broken right? What use is she then?

Nrama: Fury’s on the case here, but also working parallel to him – and perhaps under the radar of Nick and Captain America – is Black Panther. It’s intriguing to see Panther being positioned in such a strong and prominent manner in one of Marvel’s summer event series, so can you talk about T’Challa’s role here and how it came to be?
Brevoort: The Panther is a long-storied and cool character. T’Challa, and the other characters he leads on this separate track, tend to be characters who haven’t had as much of a chance in the spotlight of big events as others. T’Challa appeared to Jason as someone specifically to use for putting together an investigation and looking into what may actually be going on. He has specific skills for this kind of thing, just as Doctor Strange has knowledge of sorcery and interdimensional travel, and Ant-Man has the ability to shrink down to the Microverse.
Black Panther is often overlooked for this, but he possesses an intellect on par with Tony Stark, Reed Richards, and the other smartest people in the Marvel Universe. And in addition to that he’s also trained as a hunter. He too has a bunch of very specific skills, and he a perfect guy to put in charge as he’s a natural leader. He’s led people and been a King, and is comfortably with authority and being in control. When you look at the disparate characters coming into play in this concurrent investigation, putting a character like Black Panther at the forefront of it makes a certain amount of sense.
Nrama: And the person who puts Black Panther on the trail is another shadowy individual, but in this case also wields a cylindrical glowing green object – seemingly the same substance as Cap believes the bullet was that killed the Watcher. The shadowy person seemingly has short blonde hair and seems to know about the murder, leading some to assume it might be Captain America playing two fronts here. Can you say anything about this third shadowy figure in Original Sin #1?
Pin It Interiors from Original Sin #1 (SPOILERS!)

Brevoort: I can say he’s shadowy for a reason, and in the cast page of Original Sin #2 he is listed as “Mysterious Boss.” That much I can confirm. [laughs]
He’s the guy that calls T’Challa and the others into the mix. Just like the two at the end of the issue, I don’t want to spoil anything. Again, Marvel fans are super sharp, and trying to stay one step ahead of them in putting a story together is very difficult because there are so many of them. It only takes one person on the internet out in the middle of nowhere to come up with one piece of the puzzle, then someone else thousands of miles away picks up on it and figures out a second piece to add to it, leading to fans figuring out everything. So when it comes to things like that, these Q&A sessions will probably be very sparse with new information because I feel like we’ve already said and shown a lot of stuff; possibly more stuff than is safe or wise, especially since our fans are so razor sharp.
I have no doubt that I could go online right now and there would be blog posts, forum posts, whatever, which someone figuring out exactly who Mysterious Boss is.

So it definitely was no Fury that called T'challa.
Interesting.
Who in the MU would call T'challa first about leading a secret, hunt for the killer?

Original Sin get's no endorsement from me until it's completion.
Afterall, it's the same writer who's written T'Challa like this...

who was responsible for this....

So forgive me for not being particularly excited about whatever he's doing with T'Challa's character now.
Aaron (much like Maberry) had his chance and blew it as far as I'm concerned, so regardless of how he chooses to portray T'Challa now, in the wake of his AvX spawned devaluation of the character, it's a bit late in the day for Aaron to get props from moi.

Definintely understandable.
Just wait til he gets around Emma. I am fearful of that.
I'll remain very cautiously optimistic. Aaron rights my favorite book right now (Thor) and who wrote one of my favorite stories of all time (BP SI)... but he has written some of the most disgusting panels about BP out the last few years.
So... i am proceeding with caution. I would buy this event anyway because I am intrigued with the story, I just hope T'challa isn't chumped.
I take that back... screw "isnt chumped"... I hope T'challa is SHOW CASED for once positively in an event.
Don't break my heart Aaron.

Jason Aaron's work on Thor has been epic so far and it goes without saying that his See Wakanda And Die BP storyline endeared hi to many a BP enthusiast so it's not as if there weren't legitimate grounds for the feelings of betrayal that some felt when his contributions to the AvX storyline (and the aftermath) came to light.
The chances of T'Challa being misused in this event are ever present so I guess we'll just have to wait to see what Aaron has in store as the tale unfolds.

I think Aaron will either destroy T'challa further or he will really really really elevate him to the status he deserves.
I dont' think there will be any middle ground with Aaron. I think he will 100% nail it or he will 100% bomb it.
-
I just read Original Sin. Aaron wrote a good BP, I don't see anything to complain about.
-
Nobody is complaining about the first issue. Some folks are just understandably guarded given how things have gone in the past.
Rawmood started out great and we know what happened with that.
-
I'm going to be as pessimistic as possible and I hope BP kills Emma. Or at least beat her at her own game. The time since AvX has been nothing but insults to T'Challa, and his former wife (minus Hickman). I'm not being misogynist here but justice needs to be served. Shuri needs to bury the spear of Bashenga into her diamond heart. T'Challa needs to spank Namor in a good old fashioned Mollywap Wakandan style. Afterward they can all go for drinks and no hard feelings. I hear both Atlantean Ale and Wakankan wine makes for a killer Palm wine bomb.
Trust is earned and not given.
Shuri: Beat her so bad that she gets her psionics again.
T'Challa: Beat him so bad the he evolves stronger then Thor.
Then I will be happy.
-
I didn't say anybody was complaining @Kasper Cole, I just said I have nothing to complain about
I don't want T'challa to do anything to Frost killing her would just make him look bad and honestly I think I would enjoy the banter in the book.

There might also be more previous Black Panthers that we will see in that issue...maybe there will be a double splash page or something where we see that he is actually talking to more previous Black Panthers than what we see on that one page.
What era do you all think that one Black Panther wearing a business suit is from?

He's the one that always stands out to me. I guess because we know that's a previous Black Panther and there has to be some story as to why he would be wearing western clothing.

I'm surprised Bashenga isn't there.
