Hell, do we even need T'challa with this version of Shuri?
This version is Shuri is a T'challa leveled up.
- Genius
- Queen
- Mage
- Bad Ass Fighter
- Queen of the Dead
- Historian to ancient pre Wakanda age
.... Why does Wakanda even need T'challa now?
Hey, someone's got to sit on the throne and bark orders and give feats to the supporting cast while convincing the nation to pray to an outsider while he introspects about how he spied on the Avengers to actually learn because he doesn't want to actually be on The throne.
I bet in this story we will learn T'Challa purposely went through a worm hole to escape the woes of being King and hoped he would end up in an alternate universe to tinker... Like Shuri now apparently

Yeah that is rumble board impressive speed

I don't really have an issue with a Shuri series basically retconning MCU Shuri into the canon. People dug that take on the character and what little we know of the series sounds like Shuri will be dealing with the same ish her movie counterpart should be dealing with post-Infinity War. I hope it's good and I hope the transition from comics Shuri to MCU Shuri is smoother than the interview quote.

This is the beginning of the "try to make the comic version more like the movie version" gambit that Marvel always does.
The one thing we knew about Comic Shuri was that she wasn't the techie of the family (when she had her own comic she had a Q-like Tech dude. Two if you count the dude in the satellite).
I wouldn't be surprised if they depower Shuri to make her even more like the comic version.
Since MCU Shuri has a sense of humor and Comic Shuri doesn't I'm kinda indifferent to this working or not.

White Wolf?? Damn, Red Jack bringing the deep cuts!

There is just no foresight in the comic division at Marvel.
Except Bendis. Bendis tries to jump on the MCU stuff before it becomes a thing. Generally tries and fails but he tries to get a jump on stuff just based on rumors alone.
But everyone else there is clueless on this stuff.
They should have never made comic shuri some Griot thing without first knowing what she was going to become in the movie universe.
Never should have dissolved the Doras before finding out what the movies were doing.
Never should have taken the crown from T'challa with the movie coming out.
Never should have made Wakanda some hell hole.
Marvel comics are just so reactionary withotu sitting down and thinking ahead. Ever.

I really like White Wolf's look here. If Hunter returns full time or if another character takes up that mantle (Akili?), then I hope they adopt this look.

The art style looks in-between the Avengers cartoons and Marvel's Spider-Man. Not exceptional animation, but solid :).
Kraven is the Marvel's Spider-Man version so I'm guessing that's now the de-facto continuity for any Spider-Man character. Although he looks really out-of-shape here, and never relied on his drones this much.
Panther is a beast. Why do we need the Avengers in this cartoon again ;)?

Thoughts:
- Cap and Iron Man look out of place with all the Black Panther characters.
- I like that they're doing something more unique with Killmonger's look then just adapting the MCU suit.
- Holy crud, White Wolf!? Didn't see that coming. I wonder if it's Hunter or someone else?

See, now that Marvel's owned by Disney outright instead of it just being the Movie Branch yelling at the Comic people every once in awhile, I assume they now get direct orders to synergize.
Which the comic people half-assedly do because eff it, orders are orders and they have 10+ years experience knowing that stuff like this will never work out for them anyway, so what do they care?
The comic people believe that creators sell comics and nothing else does (and they aren't exactly WRONG. either...) so they aren't going to fuss about whose premise gets used this month.

I told you, I came to play.
none of the guesses about what the show is or how we're working the characters is even CLOSE to what it is. We are not the movie and we are not the comic book. we did our own thing.
Mwhahahahahah

The only issue I will ever have is if there's a backdoor move to outright replace T'challa with her. That's the ever growing fear creeping into my mind. Truly i get the empower females idea but more often than not comics seem content to focus on female and females of color exception maybe Miles Morales.

Amazing, i will only say that sporting that kind of gut i see why Kraven relied on them gadgets, lol!
