Would an alternate New Avengers story of using the infinity gems to create an alternate earth and moving earths population to it and destroying earth prime work? If Tchalla had gone back in time, they could have done that?
That's sort of the sucky thing about Hickmans story... the rules ended up not mattering. Even the universes that did end up having their earths blown up were destroyed in the end. There was no way to win long term playing the game... Doom flipping over the whole table was the only way to stop the Beyonders.

Since Storm is apparently so popular, it's weird she had to use Panther's book as a launchpad to get her own series off the ground.
Twice.
Maybe this time she'll hit 12 issues.
New Avengers was definitely lovecraft horror disguised as a super hero comic.

On the other hand that is what makes it a great MARVEL tale.
You literally can't do any of this with DC's big 3.
You can't have a story that is predicated on Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman outright failing while united.
Let alone having them going the "only genocide will save us!" route.
That is what all the alt universes (Earth 2 in particular) were for.

Good point. I'm sure there are some DC characters willing to go the route the Illuminati did, but certainly not the Big 3. Or in the least not Superman and Batman... there might be a slight possibility Wonder Woman would but I doubt even that one.
I suppose to a degree the Big 3 can fail given how many Crisis they got, but not with their hands as dirty as a lot of their marvel counterparts.

Funny thing is that some Storm fans would like to believe that all BP fans hate Storm. That's the farthest thing from the truth. While there are BP fans who could care less about her, there are BP fans who do like Storm. However...
What we clearly don't like are posters who spout nonsense like Storm propping up BP when in fact she had to appear in a BP title to escape the hell that is the X-verse when it comes to Black mutants.
Both Storm and T'Challa benefitted from their marriage no doubt, that is until the X-Office decided to get involved. After all was said and done, what did we end up at the end of the day?
T'Challa involved in huge Marvel event, you could actually say 2 - Time Runs Out and Secret War.
T'Challa successful ongoing solo(still can't stand Coates).
T'Challa break-out star of hit movie Civil War.
T'Challa about to have one of the most highly anticipated movie releases.
T'Challa all kinds of swag coming out.
Storm and T'Challa's marriage ended way before any of this came about as she had long since moved on to Logan in a move orchestrated by the X-Office simply to take a shot a BP. So after all the media exposure and rise in profile for BP, Storm is back in his life.
What X-title out there do you see reference that she is involved with T'Challa? None. But they are sure quick to bring back Gentle in a hurry.

Oh they are quick to try to get their Wakandan bona fides now that his movie is about to blow up, and please believe that movie is going to make bank. With this whole Fox acquisition thing about to go through I'd be shocked if the X-Office doesn't try to convince Akira Yoshido to let them do a "Renew Your Vows" type of book, possibly even a regular continuity one, and make Gentle a big deal.

You know how funny that would be? To see the X office start acting like they were down with BP and Storm from day one.. See them act all thirsty over his rise to A list (I would say right now, atleast until his movie hits, he is a solid B+, maaaaaybe A-) and then want to bring in Gentle and act like they are about that Wakandan life (even though it i likely he will simply be jobbed left and right to showcase how dnageroud the threat they are facing is) when we all know its BS. We will see Storm and Bp on film together hopefully sooner rather than later.

Did Claremont say that in an interview?
In fairness, Psylocke was more Jim Lee than Claremont. Granted, it fits Claremont's sensibilities quite well (look at Tom Corsi and Sharon Friedlander), but it came out of Jim Lee wanting to draw a "sexy ninja."

I see no lies with this post.
the reason some storm fans were initially upset with the marriage is because they felt hudlin was trying to use storms star power to raise black Panthers popularity. whether fans of his agree with him that was what some argued then. so now it's funny how fans are talking about storm fans trying to leech off him when his movie has yet to even come out. I want them together because I would love to see two prominent black characters on the big screen reinforcing black love. that's the only leeching I want. in all honesty storm has the stories and the power to do well on her own if a movie was made based upon Chris Claremont version of her, so people shouldn't get that misconstrued.
Yeah, they managed to milk 11 whole issues out of her storied past. She nearly tied with Shuri.
Maybe her new series can get a legacy renumbering after issue #3 so she can be at #15.

I really liked that about the story. Especially with the Great Society failing as hard as they did. It was like how do the heroes react when things ultimately will never go their way when it always has.

Honestly I think there are only a small small hand full of characters who are capable of carrying a solo book indefinitely. I doubt there's even a dozen in marvel. Heck, there's probably barely a dozen in marvel and DC combined.
There's probably enough interest level in Storm to at least make attempts at giving her a solo, but realistically she like 99% of the characters in MU likely won't be able to sustain a solo book indefinitely in the present market.
