I had seen Black Panther in the background of scenes and always wondered who they guy in the awesome costume was. It wasn't until the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game that I actually got to know him as a character, from then on he has been my favourite superhero of all time.

Since Civil War has started filiming, there has been no talk about Chadwick Boseman. Seems like Marvel is having him on lockdown and are being maybe a bit too overprotective of him as well as the BP franchise which is understandable considering the fact that this is the first black superhero in the MCU to have a live action feature. I just wish they could show us a bit of his training routine of a picture of his progress to know what to expect from him.

They just started filming lol.
A lot of people online are saying the scene in fake Africa they were filming may actually be the first scene in the movie with the New Avengers on a mission that goes wrong and causes the MCU SRA to start.
So, we wouldn't expect to see BP there at all.
You have to remember, we are likely getting 2 scenes with T'challa max.

He's an awesome character. Hopefully post Secret Wars we can get a great writer with a clear vision for the character who understands his appeal. I'd also love a BP book drawn by Mike Deodato or Dustin Weaver.

Well they did say T'Challa will play an intricate rile in CW so I doubt that he would have a maximum of 2 scenes. My guess is he would probably be similar to how they introduced vision in AOU

There is no way they introduce BP and have him essentially save the day and make him 100% integral to Infinity War ala Vision.
And by two scenes, I mean likely one "action scene" in his costume and then some other talking scene either politically or worth Steve. You can still play a big part in a movie while only being in 2 scenes (aka, you can have T'challa saves Steve's ass or some **** like that)
He isn't going to star in this movie. There will be just enough to tease him and pus the plot along and nothing else. There are too many characters as is, a villain to introduce (Zemo), Stark to give a huge role (you don't pay RDJ to cameo), all while keeping this Steve's movie.

I don't think he's going to star in the movie, but I think he's going to have more than two scenes. Two scenes amounts to a cameo. Feigie said from the jump that T'Challa would play a big role in Civil War.
These were Feige's exact words:
With Black Panther, what our little fun dance at the end was meant to signify, and I’ll just clarify, he is definitely a big part in Civil War. We will meet him for the first time in Civil War, in costume.

While not a comic it was the 90's Fantastic Four cartoon that introduced me to T'Challa as back then little me didn't touch anything that didn't relate to Spidey or the X-Men. After that and saving up many a allowance I started pestering the workers at comic stores I went to for issues that had him in them
Ah yes, that was a classic episode. It was even more iconic because Keith David voiced Black Panther. Sure, Black Panther may have had more appearances in Avengers: EMH and was featured in his own BET series. Still, his appearance in Fantastic Four ranks very highly mainly because of David, who adds just so much gravitas and respect to the character. Plus, for its time, that fight scene against The Thing was pretty darn cool.
I just finished reading "Black Panther: Panther's Prey" a few days ago. I thought it was cool and I am bummed "Panther's Vow" didn't come to fruition.
I like Don McGregor's characterization; T'Challa seems so rounded under this writer, although he can overdue the dialog. And action doesn't seem to be his strong suit.
I hope to backtrack on more issues that involve T'Challa and Monica Lynne because they seemed great together. And as much as I like Ororo Munroe, I believe Monica is T'Challa's true love. I can see her as the Sue Storm of the BP series, though maybe less emotionally battered. ^_^;;
You should read the Mcgregor's Jungle Action. The Panthers Rage issues were my favourites but the more personal stuff with Monica were the klan issues.
The hardcover is overpriced right now since its OOP but Marvel will probably reprint it eventually.
