That Nakia scene....
This is why the X-Men saves me so much money. I'm sick of the over-the-top hate these too cool for school mutants get.
These two franchises should be collaborating on some really great, and thought-provoking stories.
Instead, we great generic reality TV/Talk show feces.
Given the stand alone nature of these stories, I sort of doubt there was any collaboration here. BP side probably just borrowed Spider-Man and Xmen for these one shots. I don't think the Spider-Man or Xmen need to lose any sleep over whether they need to reference the Wakanda Forever books or not.
WORLD OF WAKANDA won the Eisner for "Best Limited Series" *sigh*

I guess the Eisners need a category for "Best Ongoing Series that was canceled before the first arc was finished". :D
LOL
"limited" because it was cancelled because people hated it.
The arguments that WoW was even "passable" were flimsy... but "best limited series"....
Who votes for stuff these stupid things anyway? is it weird I read lots of comcis and barely know what Eisner even islol? Didn't WoW come out like 2 years ago??
Nice! The BP franchise continues to pay dividends for marvel.
never change lol
He was involved in a lawsuit with Marvel over Strikeforce Morituri. He claimed he had at least half ownership of the series since he never signed a contract, while Marvel claimed it was work for hire.
Yep. he wasn't even invited to the BP movie premier.

Will Eisner was the creator of THE SPIRIT, and one of the greatest writer/artists of the Golden Age. The awards are aptly named.

I don't understand who would sign-off on the writing and art.
This looks like bad fan-fiction.

Regardless, money stayed in my pocket.
Thanks, Marvel.
Somehow beating Mister Miracle. The only reason I can think for that is because it not finished. I didn't see Browne's name on the award recipients.
I am sure SALES like those on Amazon helped.
Also remember you are not just dealing with comic book folks-you have a mixed group of people in the literary industry.
The jury often consists of at least 1 comics retailer, 1 librarian, and 1 academic researcher, among other comics experts.
That librarian does not care about Marvel continuity nor does the researcher.
Also how many of those folks read Black Panther regularity?

That would get you escorted out of the building if you tried to turn that on most books. That as fan fiction of the HIGHEST.

My opinion has nothing to do with continuity or BP. Mister Miracle is superior in every way. I haven't read the other nominees, but I hear The Flintstones was good too.

Well we won't know who the judges were until much later. Since they vary every year.

Hence the reason why neither franchise is burning up the sales charts.
Where is the second coming of Jim Shooter?

Folks gotta do more than just put out material.
These editors gotta start rejecting this stuff.
I would rather wait for quality, then get hot off the press rubbish.
