Doctor Strange got an animated film with the Hulk the year of his movie, and before that had that solo animated film I honestly preferred over his live action one.

Wondering if Panther will get an animated feature film hopefully alone. Due to the success of his.
I think the animated film was definitely closer to Strange in the comics then what we ended up getting in the movies.
Marvel Animation seems to be in some kind of upheaval or re-structuring at the moment so I doubt there's plans for a Black Panther animated feature, though we do have a Black Panther oriented season of Avengers Assemble and a Lego special coming up.
Your reaching. Wakanda doesn't want outsiders getting it because of the destructive potential. If you paid any attention to AoU showed this and why Vibranium falling into the wrong hands is bad.
Wakanda is special because they figured out how to apply the strange metal to their location and create n an advanced society, I can't say too much as I haven't seen the movie yet, but unless when the meteor landed it came with a vibranium for dummies book, Wakandans are extraordinary for being able to harness it, keep it Secret,
find multiple uses for it, and advance Their nation ATLEAST several decade's ahead of the rest of the world.
Advancing an entire nation half a century ahead of the rest of the world >>> making Iron man suits and creating a new element.
No need to make Vibranium inert just because you don't like that Wakanda was able to harness it's potential probably even better then Ultron who was created by Stark and utilized Vibranium as well
It's destructive potential, hmm? If they were concerned about it being used for destruction why create weapons with it? You arguments make more sense if they focused purely on defensive applications, rather than also offensive applications. Also, that argument sounds just like Cap's argument in Civil War: our judgement is the best judgement, and thus the only opinion that matters. Just like Cap feels the Avengers shouldn't be questioned, Wakanda thinks only they can best use vibranium. Which makes no sense.
[SPOIL]Yes, AoU showed it's destructive capabilities, but Wakanda has created weapons too. It's all about who uses them, and as the movie showed, Wakanda's social, and government, structure doesn't make them immune to this. If Killmonger stayed king, that same Wakanda would be wreaking havoc across the planet with THEIR OWN WEAPONS.[/SPOIL]
It's called they experimented with it after they randomly discovered that it could give them superhuman abilities. It's not like they saw the strange material and thought to use it to create the Black Panther. It was an accident, and thus they experimented with it. Still, that material is far superior to all other material, by default. It's easier to get results for things experimenting with vibranium than any other metal. There's no need to have discussions about allocating resources to do this or that, when having even a tiny amount of vibranium makes the impossible, possible.
The advancement of an entire nation with Deus Ex Machina metal < creating the arc reactor in a cave, with nothing remotely comparable to vibranium, along with basically doing crude heart surgery on himself with the same device. Then Stark used that same device to power his armor (Mark I). Oh yeah, he built said armor in that same horrible working environment.
Making vibranium inert = storytelling potential.
Ultron used vibranium to create Vision's body, which is a marvel in itself. Ultron did what he did with vibranium as a symbolical attack; he was purposely going for a one-shot extinction level event. He was also just starting to experiment with the material. And him being created by Stark doesn't make him Stark's equal. Still, give either the same amount of time with vibranium as Wakanda, and its not even close.
You haven't even seen the movie, yet. Once you do you'll see that while a great movie, Coogler doesn't address non-vibranium aspects of Wakanda as anything special (that could change in the sequel).

That's cool. Hopefully that means Coogler has more creative freedom, and gets better CGI.
A hit on the king of Wakanda? What interesting, personal, ethical, emotional, intelligent, etc type of story can you tell from that? One that still revolves around him being king, his country's influence on the world, and Wakanda's history? I'm being facetious, but you know what I mean. I'm kinda looking for BP2 to be the MCU's TDK.
However, using the Black Knight as a second antagonist along with the Mandarin could be cool. A villain who wants vibranium, and values it, vs an antagonist that views Wakanda, and thus vibranium, as some affront on the world. Black Knight could be the one to render vibranium inert in the end, with him thinking that killing the core of their advancement as the best way to "kill" Wakanda.
Maybe, the Black Knight stems from another people that also obtained vibranium, but they used it's applications for magic rather than technology. There could've been a past, secret conflict, in which Wakanda wiped out said people, and took their vibranium, with only the Black Knight armor, and its lineage surviving. A story like that could tie into how, under T'Challa, current day Wakanda views other countries using vibranium now.
You could easily incorporate something based on who you have be the one who placed the hit in the first place. I'm not writing the film I'm only giving a brief idea of what they could incorporate into the film. My idea wasn't a 2 hour script. Neither you or I are writers. Keep in mind it's just an idea...
I said this already in the thread but if Marvel is ballsy enough or if Coogler is they could use Black Knight to play up a religious freedom theme.
Why do that, and make less money? Also, why do that with Marvel's current animation branch?
BP isn't Batman, or Superman, with 2 decades of animation cache, and a successful DC animation branch backing them.
I wouldn't want the current Marvel Animation to dirty BP, after this.
Noone is comparing Black Panther to Batman or Superman. Didn't even know you had to be either to get an animated film.. I'll notify DC and Marvel to stop with animated features that don't incorporate Clark and Bruce into the mix..
Silliness aside. An animated cartoon could do wonders for the character. One also an animated movie is less in budget then a live action movie so it's not expected to get the same numbers back as long as it brings in money and pays everyone involved it does it's job.
A cartoon on the other hand helps get people attached to the character if the toon is good ofcourse. See how many people are fans of Static because of Static Show. Hell Black Panther was pretty popular in EMH. Batman continues to be relevant because all the stuff he has out. Games, Movies, Cartoons
Also in regards to your Panther jab. Panther doesn't have to be Batman or Superman to have a successful animated feature or toon. His movie already outdid any movie with either of them involved.

Hopefully the animals in the sequel will look more like the ones in the live action Jungle Book and less like the ones in Jumanji. Lmao.

I don't want to complain about the CGI too much , because it's a relatively minor gripe in an otherwise very cool movie.
But yeah .... better CGI wouldn't hurt. This is Disney ... they're supposed to be good at this sort of thing.
But with the obvious success of this movie I'm sure next time around they'll have the budget to get better effects.

I said that DC stuff, because they get a lot of the attention when it comes to animated stuff, and more acclaim for said cartoons. Especially compared to current Marvel cartoons. If this was Spectacular Spider-Man, EMH, and WatXM Marvel? I would've agreed, but this current Marvel Animation is underwhelming to say the least.
Black Panther doing good at the box office, with MCU backing, doesn't mean current Marvel Animation giving us mediocre BP animated products will be good.
Regarding the religion aspect of Black Knight, that could be where the initial conflict began. With both civilizations feeling destined for the vibranium given their beliefs. Or it couild be at part of it.
I too hop e that the sequel has more ballsy material.
