There actually not. MCU T'Challa is inexperienced King.
MU Tchalla has been king for a long time. Coates however, tried to make it seem as Though he was inexperienced case and Point his meeting with dictators to give advice on how to quell a rebellion, despite knowing they are dictators, he knows how to handle rebellions already, and Coates reason for why? Just to see what they would say.... Then surprise surprise, it back fires. But it so stupid and OOC that even casuals went WTF was that. MCU Tchalla had help but it's very clear he can handle his business and the supporting cast highlight this m Coates uses the supporting cast to talk shit and then give feats to them while Tchalla Acts like he can't do anything on hos own. Basically Coogler took Coates failed attempt at World building and making the cast matter, and did it right
That's reaching Really. Kilmonger was freshed out to be an actual Villain with substance. I'll quote this from a different thread as people seem to forget the comics and MCU versions are different:
A Tchalla without his intelligence is a Thor without his hammer.
A Tchalla without his intelligence is a Thor without his hammer.
He has his intelligence. I couldn't track it down, but there was an article that said he designed his talon fighter.
And Thor didn't have his hammer in most of Ragnarok and it was better than 1 and 2. And Unworthy Thor didn't have his hammer and it was excellent.
Toby didn't have web shooters for three movies and some still say his trilogy is the best.

All of this. But it’s alright, the whole world has seen the real T’Challa and Wakanda. Now it’s only a matter of time till everyone sees Coates for the fraud he is. And it’s going to be a glorious day when he leaves the franchise for good.
T'Challa was the central figure in the whole movie. His was the key role.
He accepted responsibility for the actions of his father and country.
He is the one that is changing Wakanda.
If some of you can't see it then that's too bad because all you seem to be concerned about is that T'Challa wasn't cool enough for you.
Killmonger was a complex villain same as Joker was in Dark Knight. But I don't remember people complaining about Batman's role in the movie.
The movie and the cast were great. The message was important. Boseman delivered.
Joker didn't lay hands on Batman and mock him in front of his own ppl before tossing him into a waterfall though. And before you reference comics Killmonger, this clearly wasn't Killmonger from the comics. If US military training is enough to do that then the US has a lot of potential Kings of wakanda running around in camo. No one here is disputing the greatness of the movie. Coogler made a made movie but that....wasn't T'challa. The russo's did much better and will again most likely in Infinity.

Coates isn’t going anywhere, nor should he.

Well then Iron Man without his suit. You get the idea
and I don't want articles I want visuals, I want backstory, I wanted T'challa and this character really could have been anyone. That's not due to T'chadwicks performance because I'm a fan, dude is legit in all aspects of acting and can actually do his fight scenes correctly (looking at MBJ and how poor his waterfall fight was because he can't). Can anyone who saw the movie answer ANY of these questions?
How long has T'challa been the Black Panther?
Why did his father give him the mantle and not Shuri who is "leading the nation forward" at the age of 16?
What did T'challa look like as a boy? I know what Michael B Killmonger looked like. I know What schools Michael B Killmonger went to, I know what training Michael B Killmonger had. I don't know ish about T'challa after his debut solo movie other than he's a man his a good heart who listens to advise from others.....why? That's my complaint. Great movie, great message but...Who the hell is this T'challa?

It seems ppl want King T'Challa to be a Gary Sue. He can never lose a fight, have zero flaws, be smarter and stronger than the entire world etc etc
Black Panther damn near might be the movie of the year but it's still not enough. Give a mouse a cookie....

I remember when un-fans used to say this all the time about comics T'challa.
Coates isn’t going anywhere, nor should he.
And why shouldn’t he leave? He’s proven time and again that he doesn’t understand this character and has hardly done anything positive for the mythos.

DOOM is awesome!
And why shouldn’t he leave? He’s proven time and again that he doesn’t understand this character and has hardly done anything positive for the mythos.
Because he’s an excellent writer on top of being able to add a unique perspective to T’Challa, Wakanda, and the world due to his experiences and background? Never mind the fact that Marvel’s writing team is less diverse than it’s traditional character lineup, so he adds much needed diversity in that respect as well.
I’m ok with heroes having flaws.

Hes been black panther for ten years. Shuri would have been six at the time. She is leading the nation forward in technology as head of Wakanda Design Group.
Like most monarchies the eldest becomes king. Which is why T'chaka said he has been training for it his entire life. Killmonger pretty much always wins. And he usually makes it look easy.
Took 3 movies for Chris Evans to be praised as Cap.
No one was talking about him in Cap 1. Everyone was laughing at his costume in Avengers. It took Winter Soldier, the 3rd movie before he won over the masses.
T'Challa won over people in his first movie.
Eh what?
People loved Evans. He killed it from the start, just like Chadwick did.
And this is Chadwick's second outting too ;)
Eh what?
The costume definitely sucked in Avengers. Cap 1 is underrated imo. I'm a lil bias but BP is best first solo in MCU
