Well I think it would be the bees knees if Geoffrey Thorne aka Redjack would post in this thread and share his thoughts
I'm delighted at every little thing i see about the Black Panther Movie.
I'm not legally allowed to give details about Black Panther's Quest, yet. We've been working on it for months and it has eaten a good part of my life. So much awesomeness is coming.
We are bringing the heat. Marvel is all aboard for this. No half steps.
2018 belongs to Wakanda.
I'm not kidding.
Stay tuned.
The fact that they were throwing so many villains at once in the first movie makes me think they've got a longer game plan in mind.
I think Nakia for example is essentially planting seeds for Malice down the line in the sequal. And I think between Klaw, Killmonger, and M'Baku at least one of them needs to either save his big play for the sequal or get away this time around. T'Challa beating all 3 of his primary antagonists in one swoop in the first movie sort of seems like a bit much. Save something for later.
I don't think M'Baku in MCU is going to be a true villian. From the interviews with Duke I think they may try and portayed him as an anti hero.
Nakia is definitely becoming Malice, her reasoning will be different. But from the most recent interview and comic Con trailer I've seen it appears to be some friction between her and others.
Ahh ok. Hogan was her husband or something? I always heard about some messy soap opera stuff goin on that wasn't quite as clean cut as how they had it in the movies. Tho I was thinkin of some of his previous s/o prior to Pepper that maybe weren't around long enough or interesting enough to dig up from obscurity lol
They got married in the 70's. Then kinda went in to the background a bit when David Micheline introduce Beth Cabe (?) as Tony's main love interest.
-
It is tough getting another love interest with that "power couple" vibe that he and Storm had.
Most of the other female candidates at that level are spoken for (Sue and Medusa). Captain Marvel might be the only other option, but for many there's a color issue there. Plus, she's a part of another franchise, which potentiall creates the same problems Storm had. Though I do like the idea of them both being movie characters... it potentially translates to them showing up in each others movies if they become a thing.
I like Carol, but I totally don't understand why some people ship her with T'Challa.
lol
It was the 90's! But seriously, it was after Marvel's big guns left to form Image Comics and Marvel revamped several of their non-X Men characters. Needless to say the changes didn't stick.

Looking forward to what you have planned.
For me, at least, I just don't want to settle for random love interest.
I want a queen level character, who is of the chocolate variety.
I don't want the go nowhere Catwoman type. Tchalla is a grown ass man, that bad girl stuff is for man children like Bruce.
I want a Sue or Medusa, but that doesn't currently exist in the MU.
Lol, the writer of the next book love interest is going to have to dedicate serious time to making her a worthwhile character.
Queen Zanda.
Revamp her character with a few tweaks here and there.

myyyyyyyyy man!

So my guess is that the Tribal looking scars on Kilmonger's body are really some sort of Nano technology that allow him to form the golden armor that make him the physical equal of Black Panther
-
I think M'Baku is a potential foe that will turn face in this film. It sounds like he's questioning T'Challa's rule but still cares about everyone's wellbeing. So he may turn against Killmonger and/or Klaue and form a temporary alliance with T'Challa in this film, which would explain part of why M'Baku is in Infinity War.
Well, we now he can potentially communicate with other gods through Necropolis. So he can just sort of throw his name out there and see what he gets.
If I were T'Challa I'd probably focus more on the European female gods though ... they tend to be more human shaped. Wouldn't want to end up with some goddess with a bird head or something. That would just be weird.
No thanks. No European goddesses. He's African, so he should be concentrating on African goddesses. Oya, for one.
She was. And then they brought in <gasp!> Whitney Frost, a villain as a love interest.
The horror!!!!!@
I'm looking forward to this Queen Nakia era of love interest. Like MoS suggested a while back, let it end up a triangle with Monica in the sequel.. and maybe some extra bond girls sprinkled in haha. Whatever makes the unfans uneasy and T'Chadwick with free of his comic book castration. Mainstrain is gon fall in love with Lupita's Nakia
Hopefully they'll cast Chadwick's "42" movie wife as Monica. She fine as hell
-
It's entirely possible they will essentially create a brand new character for Monica. They essentially did it with Jane Foster.
That said, it's not hard to get a "regular" person caught up in the super hero world. From some random person he happens to save to the daughter or some important diplomat or scienteist or whatever, having regular people used as POV characters for the audience is pretty normal.
But given Monica isn't a super well known character anyways, just having the name and maybe making her be a talented singer (even if she doesn't do it professinally) is all that's needed.
It is hard to get regular people caught up in MCU shenanigans as the last movie to do that was Thor and low and behold that was what people complained about the most and Marvel Studios has ditched them in favor of off world adventures with aliens. Your best bet for civilian shenanigans is Spider-Man as his adventures require it

I've always been meh on Storm and the X-folk in general, so I don't have a problem with any solid love interest for T'Challa following her. She would not have to project what I see as Storm's over the top, Uber power levels or self awareness. She just needs to dig T'Challa and be capable enough for T'Chalka to dig her. I want a long, solid, comfortable relationship for him. Corny, and at odds with the soap opera that is comics, but that is what I would like.

I assumed they were mystical enhancements that would make him his equal but given Kevin Feige said they were focusing more on spirituality than mysticism, it's unlikely.
But that sounds cool as hell though! Kinda like Iron Man's Bleeding Edge armor

I had no problem with Ororo when writers like Priest, Hudlin McDuffie and David Liss were writing her and T'Challa together.
Post all of the aforementioned writers, I could do without Storm being anywhere around T'Challa and the BP mythos moving forward.

Yeah, if Storm is off the table, a Zanda who just breathed in that Terrigen Kush would be interesting. And yes, she must be the pursue. On some Talia/ Amora but not all villainy. Just a "I want this man, and Bast have mercy on any woman that's in my way" tip.

Me too. And he's also going to be voicing T'Challa in MvC:I. At this rate I won't be surprised if he ends up being the Kevin Conroy to Black Panthers Batman.
I like Carol, but I totally don't understand why some people ship her with T'Challa.
There's no solid reason to ship them. Really outside of Storm and Monica Lynn, you can't really base any ships on anything concrete.
In the least Carol interacts with T'Challa regularly. That's about it.

Yeah, I think he's definitely becoming to Black Panther what Conroy is to Batman, Khary Payton is to Cyborg, Steve Blum is to Wolverine, and Fred Tatasciore is to The Hulk.
The Assemble crew made a smart choice not recasting the role (probably one of their better casting choices overall).

Yep. I wasn't allowed to say anything about this for months and I'm still not allowed to say anything more than Marvel has said, announcing it. But once it starts airing, I can set up some sort of Q & A thread similar to the one I did for MOSAIC.
And there's also the possibility of live watch/tweeting.
In real life, people move on from breakups to find love anew elsewhere.
I see no reason why the same shouldn't apply to T'Challa.
And also in real life, people go back to their exes, or have on-again off-again relationships with their significant others. Sometimes divorced couples remarry each other. Characters like Ross and Rachel from "Friends" and J.R. Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing from "Dallas" come to mind, as well as Gary and Valene Ewing from "Knots Landing."
Those characters dated, married, cheated on each other, took relationship breaks, got divorced, married others, divorced those other spouses, got back with their exes, remarried their exes, etc. etc. This kind of behavior/storytelling drama happens a lot in fiction and probably happens a lot in real life, too.
I see no reason why T'Challa and Ororo can't rekindle their romance when a whole bunch of other fictional couples are allowed to do it.

All those characters you cited are all under the same franchise umbrella and now let's look at T'Challa and Storm. In his book they are around each other and talking while over in the X-Men books she is featured in they make no mention of her being around him let alone her taking trips to Wakanda, when Supes and Wonder Woman where dating despite them being under two separate franchise umbrellas DC made sure that they acknowledged their courtship in their respective titles as well as creating a separate joint title they both shared.
Bringing it back home we have once again the BP office doing all of the work and under better writers we all saw how that turned out
And none of the on again off again stuff is never fun or interesting to read about

There is no decent reason. The MU and the MCU dont need to mirror each other. Whatever beef fanbases, editorial staffs, or Disney/Fox have should not interfere in a good story. Its a good pairing with no other decent option for either to go to. Logan and Storm is a hot garbage pairing, and I have always thought that. Oh crap, I feel a x-men diatribe coming out.....LET IT GO...huthaifa....let it go:)
