Some people hate Lupita
Some people hate a Wakandan love interest
But as Thanos infamously said in Infinity War trailer:
"Dread it... run from it... destiny still arrives!"
I thought he was talking about black people avoiding being labeled as just "black writers", but clearly he was talking about that #wakandanlove lol
Bast bless brother rumble! Let us all prepare for the arrival of our queen in February!
Leopard man. In honor of Preyy
I love that.
I was hoping the second trailer gave a bit more of the plot, but let's be honest, they don't need to. The visual style is so good that I'm sold on that alone. This movie is exciting.
12. The flip Black Panther does at the 1:43 mark, which made me Google Gabby Douglas just to see what she’s doing now.
Somewhere Peter Parker is saying "I can.. who am I kidding I can't do that." Unless Todd Macfarlane draws me.

8. My instinct to still scream “Where’s Wallace?!?!” each time I see Michael B. Jordan on screen.
15. The fact that I don’t know sh*t about comic books—or superheroes really, other than Batman and Superman—and didn’t even know that Black Panther existed until like five years ago (don’t judge me), but I’m actually sitting here today, in October of 2017, already thinking about the black-ass sh*t I’m going to wear to this premiere.
Shocked no one mentioned Daniel from Get Out.
This might be the first movie I wear a suit to. Gonna walk out with a plate wrapped in foil, too.
16. The fact that the only thing blacker than a Black Panther is a Purple Panther.
I’m not into action flicks but am so looking forward to seeing this. Looking at white people’s comments on other websites makes me want to see it all the more. Their inability to cope with the fact that it has a mostly black cast and is a black superhero narrative, is a little hilarious.
That flip to building run! Eat that spiderman!!!

Black Panther has more black women than every mainstream comic book film combined.
"Whatever, #BlackPanther is just a--"
"First of all, I'll knock out ALL of your teeth if you finish that sentence. It's lit. Period."
Blade Runner: The only cool people in the future are white dudes
Black Panther: Hold my🍺
"Sir, here is a check with my name on it. Write down any number on this piece of paper and I will pay it."

I want that POSTER but according to someone on Ebay it won't be out until November 16. It's either that one at $50 or hello Japan reprint that might not show up until after March.
I was going to be productive today at work. Then the trailer dropped in the morning :/
What's the first thing I did when I woke up? Before coffee. Watched the trailer again with my wife. She's so patient. Maybe she'll buy me another BP t-shirt to calm me down.
Coates (chokes) probably had to watch this Clockwork Orange style. You suppose it woke his "woke" ass up?

I doubt it. The way I see it, two things will happen at this point.
A: He stays on the book, but editorial reigns him in to make sure he’s written to be like he is in the film (aka in character) and bring back W’kab, Zuri, and Okoye as well.
Or
B: Coates rage quits because the world is now familiar with the real T’Challa and Wakanda and not his Bland Panther and devotes all his time to the Storm solo. Thus leading Marvel to get an actual competent writer on Black Panther.
Or neither because Coates and Coolger are apparently cool enough to be working on a movie together. Maybe Coolger, can do a guest arc or something.
did you guys see t'challa and nakai holding hands in the ship? :d
yessssssss i certainly did

He'll probably write a story where Wakanda has some kind of advanced space colony...
The cinematography though.

Fully equipped with rape and suicide stations

Let's take bets on whether that will happen or not. My money's on no, but let's assume something that featured in two issues of Black Panther will be an ongoing feature going forward.
The colony is a no brainer going forward. No bets on that. How about how dull he can make an exciting concept he "came up with on his own"?
