I would believe that if I didn't see Captain America 2.
I mean, I love that movie. It's 1 or 2 depending on the day for my favorite comic movie ever.
But there are arguments to be made that the Russos can make you vomit from their quick cut style in that movie. Or the fact the camera jumps constantly to hide stunt doubles (oh scarlet).

So, in conclusion, according to CBR Black Panther fans
- third act cgi was terrible
- wakanda waterfall cgi was terrible
- not enough wakanda
- fight scenes were terrible
- chadwick has no screen presence
- chadwick can't do fight choreography
- not enough black panther screen time
- T'chaka is fat
- T'challa is a milquetoast bitch who has no memorable lines, no memorable scenes, talks too much, doesn't plan ahead,
- budget wasn't high enough
- movie wasn't long enough
- Russos > Coogler
- Killmonger was right but also too short and maybe can't act bc hes friends with coogler
- killmonger didn't get enough screen time
- movie should be called Okoye, Shuri and Friends
- rhinos sucked
- third act sucked
- first action scene sucked
- new suit sucks
- not comic accurate
I probably missed 20 other things.
Maybe the incels are right after all. Y'all actually agree more than you think. Black Panther = most overrated movie ever because of SJW ****. or somethin
At least everyone loves M'baku i guess.

Correct, and it should be noted the conclusion of the Tiger God stuff jumps to #100 thanks to Marvel numbering shenanigans.

Man I don't think you were trying to be funny, but I really cracked up pretty good when I read this.
You would think this movie did terrible given some of the comments here. I mean I thought the movie was straight fire and did what no other marvel movie dared.. but I guess people were more concerned about it being another run of the mill superhero movie?

The second time I saw it, it was as part of a team building function for my job.
It was a group of MOSTLY old white people and they loved it. I heard many talking about it the next day on their phones saying stuff like, "It was really good... yeah, uh-huh, no they're true, it was much different than I was expecting. Yeah, yeah, you should go see it."

I would prefer stunt doubles infact everyone should unless youre jackie chan. I could care less about seeing Scarlett Johansson's face and more so about seeing black widow do a really cool kick. Had Coogler used stunt doubles which everyone should be for since stunt doubles are a major part of the industry and need work then we would have gotten much better choreographed fights. Also, people in this group need to understand that criticism of a specific point is not a complete repudiation of the entire movie. But haters going to hate right

I can't stand MCU Killmonger.
I really don't understand his appeal.
He literally was that blood kin you hate having over during family gatherings because stuff comes up missing, or broke.
Things are peaceful, then he comes through running his mouth, and creates a lot of drama.
When confronted, he uses his poor circumstances as an excuse to justify bad behavior.
More & more, I just don't like sympathetic villains.
Bring me Achebe!

The difference between the in suit Panther versus the waterfall fights we're very clear everyone knows those were stunt doubles. The heart-shaped herb doesn't lead to a decrease in skill and martial art Talent unless that was another change then we decided to make that I'm not aware of

Ready for Avengers: Black Panther's Quest to debut.
Enjoyed the move when I saw it for the 5th time(Blu-ray).
Need a comic book that has a badass Black Panther.
Will buy the new Legends figures when they come out.
I need a monthly Iron Man/Black Panther team-up comic book.

You don’t need otherworldly powers to be a superhero: some superpowers include just being really rich or insanely smart. Now, you can actually be Tony Stark or Shuri with LittleBits’ Avengers Hero Inventor Kit, which was made in collaboration with Marvel. Each kit comes with interchangeable “bits,” or electronic building blocks, that attach magnetically to a transparent sleeve that kids can wear.
Using a companion app, kids can follow along with step-by-step instructions and video tutorials to receive their “hero training” from the Avengers. Each superhero teaches a different lesson: Iron Man’s activity is centered on the LED matrix; Ant-Man and the Wasp’s lesson uses the accelerometer to teach kids about speed and movement; Black Widow will teach you to go undercover with the light sensor; and Black Panther and Shuri offer the final lesson on customizing your coding inventions.
A few qualms I have with this kit is that the Iron Man arm that’s displayed in all the promotional images and on the box isn’t actually wearable. It’s just a stand to hold the transparent sleeve when you’re not using it, which is a little bit disappointing.
Also, for a toy that’s centered on gauntlets, it seems like a serious missed opportunity not to have the Infinity Gauntlet in there! I know we’re not encouraging kids to eliminate half the world’s population at the snap of their fingers, but I just felt it was worth pointing out. Maybe the educational aspect could be teaching kids about the Malthusian model?
This is LittleBits’ second collaboration with Disney, its first being the $100 Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit, which lets you create a motorized R2-D2. The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit will be available on August 24th for $150.
I actually think Winter Soldier is a tad overrated.
Its the least flawed comicbook movie though. However, it suffers from just standard filmmaking imo. There's not a real creative flair from the directors with that movie. However the action is GOAT is status. Thanks primarily to the John Wick directors shooting the action scenes. Russos improved as directors in their last couple of films. At least visually.
Black Panther >>> in terms of acting, characters, villain, writing, direction
Winter Soldier doesn't have CGI goop and has executes its vision without a dip. It doesn't have the jarring dip in quality that BP has, but it also doesn't reach the heights (outside the highway fight)
It really is a shame they couldn't execute the final action piece on a Winter Solider level. BP might be even greater.

When is the last time you've seen the movie?
The action isn't Russo level of consistency. However, that first action scene is pretty great now that its no longer under lit.

I think a case could be made they should have kept the same guy from Civil War. Then again maybe the real issue is putting so much CGI over the stunt doubles or just replaced them with CGI models.
Just as I posted the before/after CGI Killmonger pic they clearly replaced the actors with CGI models. That was a bad decision. It made the actors look entirely too skinny imo. Killmonger's wrist looked unnatural.
The stunt double for BP is actually really good. You look at some of his moves and wonder why did they put so much CGI over the actor?

Now they put the same CGI over him in Infinity War, but it looked different. Infinity War seemed like a real actor with CGI put over him. BP seemed like it was complete CGI. Compare the opening fight scene to the final fight scene. Just way too animated, weightless.
