X-office wants Wolverine and Storm just let them be. Current Marvel has no desires to rehash that.
I have a fun question. If the action is similar to the other Avengers movies, what kind of combo movie would be cool to see with BP? (IM rebounding repulsor off Caps shield/Hulk and Thor on flying worm)
Tchalla getting charged of Kinectic energy, Has hulk toss him in the thick of the Enemies to energy blast them like he did to the border tribe

There's always the classic fastball special. With no Wolverine, BP can take on the role of the guy with claws being thrown.
Yeah, the last thing that a villain in a Black Panther sequel needs to be is another usurper. An interesting angle to go with for a sequel is mysticism, hence why I want Mephisto to show up.
A BP movie based around mysticism seems like a natural sequel tbh. We've just seen political upheaval and philosophical debate, it's time for a movie that explores the very underpinnings of Wakandan culture and the divine. Mephisto as the main villain, with Achebe as his earthly representative. The Black Knight from Hudlin's run as a rogue Vatican operative trying to spread Christianity to Wakanda (a Christian terrorist). Monica Lynn as a church girl turned R&B superstar, and M'Baku riled up over the suppression of the White Gorilla Cult.
Meanwhile, we get extensive background on Bast and the other gods (pulling from Coates' current interpretation). The final battle occurs in the Astral Dimension and ends with T'Challa bitch slapping Mephisto after he bargains to steal his soul lol. T'Challa inherits the KoD mantle and we see some sort of set up for the final movie.

Hasn't Coates been trying to do exactly that?
Hasn't Coates been trying to do exactly that?
The rest of Marvel has been ignoring it though, especially with the cover for hunt for Wolverine #2. Plus you know they are gonna break up as soon as Coates leaves.

It would be interesting to see if Bast and the Wakandan gods are actually gods, or if they're just aliens like the Asgardians.

All in vain. Only person writing Storm and BP together is Coates.
No writer in the X-books is even acknowledging it as they continue to ignore any development of her outside of the X-verse.
It's a troll job imo but they're only making Storm look bad. Most BP fans aren't really interested.
The next one needs to lean more into mysticism. The way they approached tech left little to be desired.
Do you see how well the russo's look after Captain America. I wish Coogler treated T'Challa half as well as they do cap.
Just saw the Avengers Infinity War trailer and thought this cold be an interesting plot point for a sequel as to how T'Challa's logic of showing Wakanda to the rest of the world leading to war with Thanos and then I thought of Coates Nation Under Our Feet storyline and then I panicked a bit lol.
Please Marvel, don't base the sequel from this run.
FWIW, I have an argument against basing the next story on it that's agnostic on the quality of the story (I personally like the story and think Tetu and Zenzi would make for interesting movie villains):
Here's the thing, we just had a story about internal stryfe in Wakanda and an attempt to take over control. Let's instead focus on something external to Wakanda next time. So, even if there's eventually an adaptation of A Nation Under Our Feet, it doesn't have to be Black Panther 2.
Zero interest seeing the suppression of the WG or anything TNC related in any of the BP flims . Nethier of those are net positive for the BP franchise...

If you're going to do an adaptation of A Nation Under Our Feet (and obviously the movies have no obligation to do so whatsoever), I think you need to do it after Wakanda takes a big hit. It needs that sort of catalyst. So I do think the timing of it works as far as following a Thanos invasion in Infinity War.
That said, if other big disasters are scheduled to occur down the line, it can probably wait. In fact it would probably work better if it happened after a string of bad events rather than just one (like in the comics).
But as far as solo movies back to back having similar themes... you can argue the Captain America movies sort of did that with Winter Soldier and Civil War. Steve ended up being a fugitive hunted by his own government in back to back movies. So you can make an argument that thematically it can work better because the issues build off of each other.

Does a team book have to achkowledge a team members significant other?
I don't believe Jessica Jones was mentioned a single time in Thunderbolts when Cage was leading the team. I'm not a DC guy... does Cat Woman show up in Justice League?
To me, I guess I just don't see it as a big deal. If they mention it it's nice, but if they don't in a team book at least it just doesn't seem like that big a deal.
