I wish the "peak human" label would just die everywhere. It doesn't mean anything.
Cap in TWS was super human. Cap in AoU was super human.

I actually like the term peak human. You get roughly all the perks of being a low end super human in that you still have those sort of feats, but you can also sell the notion that the character feats have more to do with skill than super powers.
Batman and Captain America are two of the most respected heroes in their respective earths, a PART of that respect stems from the fact that they do the things they do without super powers. They're simply that damn good.
That said movie Captain America is clearly superhuman and that's fine. Movies are a very visual medium and those sort of high end things are fun.

It is a cool term... until the writer decides he wnats to push it higher... and higher... and higher and it has lost all notion of any sort of restriction really. It is more a battle board term than anything.
And yeah... movie cap is breaking quinjets with his shield, takign shots from ultron over and over, throwing motorcycles, and ripping the lids of submarines while under water.
Being in the same league as movie Cap for BLack Panther would be impressive. As long as he shows at least one thing showing that he is above the widow/hawkeye/falcon range and I am good honestly. I don't need a billion feats in CW, jsut something that CLEARLY shows Panther is above "normal human" and in that "enhanced" range and that his skill and tech isn't his only power.

Without or without the term peak human writers will push things because that's just what comic book writers do. They don't necessarily do the math for things a character can lift or consider the physics of things like moving planets or whatever... and one can argue they shouldn't lose sleep over it because it's comic books and the vast majority of fans don't give a damn. I personally wish the writers be more conservative in that sort of thing, but I understand the appeal of just throwing stuff on there because it looks cool. It is what it is.
Really, the appeal of the term "peak human" more than anything is just to show how awesome Captain America is APART from his super powers. It's designed to sell the notion that Steve Rogers is simply that good. And it's a part of the reason why Steve is as respected as he is. He's just a man... but he's a man that commands kings and gods because of just how amazing a man he is. Obviously peak human doesn't apply JUST to Cap... but he's more associated with the term than anyone else. To me labeling him low end super human rather than peak isn't an improvement because honestly writers will continue to show him doing uber stuff regardless of what term they use, because again that's just what comic book writers do.
Its all up to the movie team to make him superhuman or not I would love to have him at a superhuman feel and if that doesn't happen, well it is what is is

Really, even people that aren't super human will often do superhuman things in comic books and in action movies for that matter. Look at Daredevil for example, who is not supposed to be super human... there's absolutely no way a human being can do the things we've seen him do in real life. They're all super human by real world standards. So I'm certain we'll see plenty of cool stuff out of him regardless of what term they use to describe him. It's an action movie... you go big, realism and physics be damned.

Did TV DD every do anything super human physically other than being durable as hell? I can't remember. I don't even know if DD is superhuman in the comics or not TBH
But yeah, even Widow is doing **** that is... kinda crazy at times

I just hope they don't bring his abilities to Hawkeye's level. As a BP fan, that would be quiet insulting

i don't think you have to worry about that. They need Panther for a solo... so he needs to be impressive. They are investing in him.

DD I think is a more accurate description of peak human (purely physical) than Captain America or Black Panther.
Widow does crazy **** too but they made a point of showing Winter Soldier outclassed her in just about every way.
When you think about it, T'Challa having a connection to a god should allow for him to have abilities that push him past just simply "peak human". Having a mystical connection in the comics world should at least net you super strength, durability, accelerated healing.etc.
Then again, if T'Challa had those abilities, what he does and how he does it wouldn't be nearly as impressive.
How bout an AI panther bot as part of T'challa's recurring characters? Just a buddy T'Challa builds to hang around with at the palace or necropolis or wherever the next writer has him hang his cowl. I wouldn't want him as a permanent companion or I could see Blue Falcon and Dino Mutt comparisons. Although if the bot had a wise ass sense of humor to provide some levity once in a while that would be cool. In fact, I could see T'Challa programming it to provide insightful queries or observations on anything T'Challa himself may have missed.
Maybe they can call him Mr. Tiddles! :p

yeah, WS acted like she was a gnat
You know what would be absolute perfect? T'challa confronting WS and Cap at the same time.
It would really be the perfect scenario all around.... just have them fight to a stand still. It shows off how bad ass T'challa is to stand there and go toe to toe with two peak human fighting machines... while not making cap or bucky look bad because its a stalemate.
If T'challa and Hawkeye meet like it was rumored, I hope it is just like WS/Widow scenario. Hawkeye uses what he has to his best disposal but is no match for T'challa

I imagine both sides will end up getting wins. Starks side will probably win round one and capture a good portion of Steve's forces. Steve will probably free them and win round 2. Both sides can trade wins so that no one looks bad.
