One thing I do like about Ewing is that he tries to explain things logically.
He couldn't use Bast in his story (even though he obviously wanted to) when he wanted to power up t'challa to fight on a cosmic scale.
So, Ewing explained WHY T'challa was able to go to another god. He didn't just do it. He gave a reasoning why a follower of Bast is able to still go to the Tiger God.
Coates, on the other hand, doesn't give two craps about the mythos and just wanted a moment for his Blue.

What's hilarious is that ...again within your commentary you lay out what should have been the obvious path for Coates in his book. Just make the damn main character the godlike being and battle The Adversary like duh, how hard is that? It would at least, possibly make this garbage better going down if one has to commit to reading it. Since buying this stop being an option for me a while ago!
Butterflykyss, Storm bringing the X-Men into Wakanda during AvX was an attack.
End of.
What Wakandans were hurt during their covert mission, save Tchalla when O'roro and he fought?
Yeah... the last thing I am going to do is get into an argument with zealots who ignore on panel stuff when convenient and keep on arguing anyway.
The comparison to Thor is faulty because Thor is an actual god that has been alive for centuries. Not 30 years.
Yeah... one of the characters threw a punch and yelled a screamed and threw rings. The other character, well, didn't.
The art is going to carry this book.
Yea Thor is a god who requires Faith of his worshipers to exist. Yes he has been around longer than storm but there are other deities that have been around longer than him. Does that diminish his divinity?

If you not making arguments for him not being one I'm still not getting the double standard when it comes to Ororo. why is that?

Wakanda... The outskirts!
I mean like way way way out there somewhere just south of the MCU Mbaku's cold @$$ mountains by that stank river no one fishes out of due to downtown Wakanda's waste flowing from all those flushed kinetic energy absorbing vibranium toilets!
Anyway the "Outskirts" and whatnot!
A small congregation of tribal rejects gathers to pay homage to...
The Reverend Ebony Maw: "Rejoice, oh ye children of the most high Storm Goddess!"
The Reverend Achebe: "Wait, I thought we were worshiping..."
(Just then The Reverend Ebony Maw telekinetically wraps up The Reverend Achebe with a church pew chair enclosing him and sealing shut his disruptive mouth)
The Reverend Ebony Maw: "Shhhhhhhhhhh... As I was saying we we are all children of the one and only Storm Goddess!"
(Some random Doras who snuck away from their "security detail" catch the spirit)
Akekieka: "WELL WELL NOW!"
Eurikaseeka: "COME ON SOMEBODY:" (Passes out)
The Reverend Ebony Maw: "Who so seeks yet thus thine thou and stuff be forth which that is glorified not undone unto the weather goddess!"
Thanos: "Slow up son, I just used the Time Stone and have no idea what Bible you are reading from what chapter and verse is that help me out here!"
The Reverend Ebony Maw: "Come on man I'm working here... Respect the hustle!"
Thanos: "My bad I thought you were dead floating in space somewhere but if you need me I'll be over there getting that Mind Stone... Hey, if any of your followers randomly turn to ash just keep going I'm only taking half!"
Storm: "That's rude, people came here to worship me and and you all up in the Kool-aid and don't know the flavor!"
Thanos: "Ah yes, the Fox Disney deal must have gone through then... You're not going to help the Avengers are you because I would hate to have to body you too!"
Storm: "As IF!"
The Reverend Ebony Maw: "AHEM! The great Goddess steps forth to receive your offering of worship, praise and tithes, YES lots of tithes dig deep in them pockets for she struggleth to support her own ongoing and needs to leech off of other HOT intellectual property to thus remain relevant!"
Storm: "YOU FIRED!"
Storm Goddess... The gift that keeps on giving especially in Wakanda! ;)

Almost all the arguments made pro deification Storm could be made for T'Challa using Coates logic. Minus the whole she was a goddess before thing. I'm not saying I want T'Challa deified, I don't really, but, rather than explore and elevate Storm, Coates could have used; shadow physics, science out of nowhere (a common comic book trope), native Wakandans magic, Shuri's new powers, or whatever to elevate T'Challa or Wakanda to a new level in his own comic. It's just a shame about Coates dislike for T'Challa and his continuing what is now essentially 10 years of deconstruction of the Wakandans mythos.

Doesn't really matter. Nothing else will come of this just like the newly elected gov't of the Republic of Wakanda.

question. what about shadow physics could have been used to defeat a threat like adversary? what about shuri? or even wakandan magic has been used in the past that is evidence of being able to defeat a universal threat like adversary ?

He's not about to change the narrative now.

One of the best things about comics is seeing your hero find a new way to beat impossible enemies. You are overjoyed at Coates deification of Storm , no? Solidification of how powerful and effective she can be? That is what we want in the BP comic. An imaginative writer could have written new aspects of whatever reasons I've given for T'Challa to defeat the Adversary. Shadow physics alone could have teleported the Adversary to the portal. Apparently that is it's only on panel use so far. What if it trapped the adversary in a teleportation mobius strip like trap to hold him long enough to get him through the portal. Or T'Challa calling on knowledge of one of the previous panthers to magically wisk Adversary into the portal, or Shuri's and her new powers. Just something new for T'Challa and Wakanda rather than some old tease about Storms being a goddess. Storm is already Uber powerful if not written that way. Did she really need a power upgrade? Wakandans limited publication history says they need more feathers than Storm.

These are all really great arguments. Does anyone here ever send these thoughts to the actual comic? If not, we should at least send Flex's posts to the comic!

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture is acquiring several items from the film to preserve in the museum.

Well, we don't even know the extent of Shadow Physics. It's short of ignorance to assume T'challa would go through the steps of crafting it just to teleport. It could very well be used to defeat a universal threat you can't deliberately put your own limit to something that an author just didn't make time to expound upon.

If the old Xforce building is still standing, Tchalla could teleport him into that. lol

Thor has kept his god like powers when THERE WAS NO EARTH to worship or send prayers to him.
Over and over again.

Well said. Same with anything Wakandan. We have only a few short published years of 10,000 year old Wakanda. And Coates is laying the foundation of that on Wakandans being colonizers. So funny it hurts. Makes MCU Shuri's seem a bit hypocritical.
