I want T'Challa to be allowed to move on. I never saw the marriage as sustainable and I'm glad it's over, but that wasn't at all what I said. I said discussion of her in Black Panther is inevitable. She's in the book right now. The writer of the book is writing a Storm book (this thread has had plenty of discussion about former Black Panther writers' other work). And the discussion could be about those previous stories. To me, it's hard to discuss See Wakanda and Die and not mention Storm's role in that story.
LOL... Man after Coates is done with BP I think some may have to move to a new black character. Because after he is done the character is going to be BEYOND repair. I am hearing freaking colonization??? This clown is the Donald Trump of BP comics and yes I signed the petition.
Have not read the whole thing, but looks like a cool fan article.

So what you're saying is you don't think Wakanda should colonize off world?
So what you're saying is you don't think Wakanda should colonize off world?
he/she may be referring to how Coates defined the origins of wakanda.

Colonization to some degree does go hand in hand with building empires.
he/she may be referring to how Coates defined the origins of wakanda.
Yep which was ridiculous. He made it even resemble the pilgrims killing the natives. And also why the hell would non-Humans exist in the Great lakes region of Africa(where Wakanda seems to be located) and NOT hunter gatherers, Nilotics or Cushites who always lived there and who Bantu migrants(who Wakandans seem to be) met?

Except Wakanda never was an empire.
Except Wakanda never was an empire.
It's got a galactic empire as we speak. Or at least it will have one pretty soon.

I think what he/she means is changing the origin of Wakanda to imply ALIENS did all that instead of black folks.
While to many has racist ties as implying black people are not intelligent to do anything outside of being slaves, thugs and welfare worshipers. You know what fills every Yahoo comment section about blacks-someone posted that page long comment of blacks are stupid.

Coates doesn't let facts get in the way of his fiction.

I posted this earlier, but there's an interdimensional portal in Wakanda that's been there possibly longer than humans existed, which they might have come from.

Wakandans are not an "offensive war" people. They are mainly defensive which is why their country has always remained small but yet very advanced and powerful. If they wanted become an empire they would have BEEN done it! Especially to surrounding African states. Wakanda is like the Zimbabwe Kingdom. Zimbabwe like Wakanda was RICH in resources(especially gold) and because of that they had an monopoly on gold in the Indian Ocean trade which made them very rich. Some sources estimate that they had mines in the billions and those Zimbabwean kings were some of the richest. Zimbabwe Kingdom was also very powerful and not even the powerful Swahilis on the East African coast or Arabs messed with them.
YET... They were NOT expansionist like the Zulus south of them or the Somalis/Cushites northeast of them. Wakanda shows strong elements with Great Zimbabwe. Neither were ever bothered to expand through conquering.

This is the same guy that claims he wants to incorporate African elements in his story and yet does not know this...

Still doesn't make much sense.
