A potential variant cover?

Though I've never been a fan of constantly relaunching books as 1's, the upside has always been seeing the variant covers. And a lot of the covers have been pretty cool. This one is probably the coolest so far.

Earlier posts from 2016 related to the BP movie:
Im curious to see how the BP and Aquaman movies look side to side. Both are kings of advanced civilizations that dont like outsiders and both (since new 52) are bad ass warriors. Both have good director as well.
I do kind of find it funny though that WB introduces aquamsm with an awkward 30s clip while BP show up in CW and stalks buckys nightmares
Isnt aquaman out around bp?

BP will hit theaters in February 2018. Aquaman will arrive in July. They were closers before Ant-Man & the Wasp took BP's July spot.

Sounds good.
I think February spot is going to be huge. A Deadpool situation

Just watched it for the fourth time. Yea... some of y'all mfers tripping lmao
1. Chadwick acted circles around everyone. He had to cover the most range (humor, love, sadness, anger, resentment, betrayal, joy) and delivered emphatically everytime. And when he wasnt talking he had the stage presence in every scene. From his first appearance with Okoye, on through his victory against M'Baku for example, through his talk with his father, his sister, Zuri, Erik, M'Baku.. breh gave an acting clinic, while the rest did well too but often relied on those crowd pop jokes.
2. I don't see why anyone would bitch about Chadwick's T'Challa from the start of the film through the start of Busan mission. Shit was perfect, and his muscles were big (pause) for all you lames.
3. He got hit with a grenade launcher in mid air, which knocked him back. And we're bitching bc we don't like that he got shot at in midair by a grenade launcher that did no damage to him other than his pride? Ok cool. Yet he still saved ppl from blowing up with the first grenade.. yknow.. heroic stuff. He wasn't supposed to capture Klaw and Erik there or else the movie would be over lol.
4. In their first actually fight (no, the 2 second van chase is not a "fight" you try-hards lol)T'Challa knocked Erik to the ground and instead of stabbing him, he paused and said yield. Benevolent or conflicted, whatever. It cost him. In their second fight, there was NO hesitation and T'Challa outsmarted him in skill, timing and showed no hesitation unlike in the first fight. Put the blade where it belonged
5. Queen Nakia and Okoye showed great acting in their scene together post-T'Challa "death". Great serious acting.
6. In actual combat, BP was pretty independent. No real red zone [bp vs red skull] moments where he needed wwe interference in order to win.. Basically could take out 20 dudes at a time, dispatched Klaw easily when it actually got time to fight him, and went 2-1 against M'Baku and Killmonger. Erik being the only big one, in which the director still gave BP the early win.
All in all, my favorite T'Challa and the perfect blend of Priest and Hudlin. T'Chadwick's acting ages like fine wine. Wakanda Forever indeed
There was no Priest or Hudlin in there. And I know for Priest's part, he already said in his review that it wasn't his Panther - it was a younger, less experienced Panther.
Your points boil down to "T'Challa fought well & Chadwick acted well." And both of those things are accurate - it's still missing what others (like myself) wanted from T'Challa. He's not just a superhero and a king. He's a genius, a master strategist.
Killmonger winning isn't an issue to me. And yeah - film was great T'Challa wise up until they captured Klaue. I guess that in exchange for his screen presence in the earlier part of the film, I was expecting more of his traits to shine at the end, when they were expanding the supporting cast.

Yep, a billion is pretty much guaranteed at this point guys. Long live the king!

He also said is was McGregor. I say it Hudlin as well because McGregor/Priest/Coates all do a stoic Panther. Hudlin kept his light which is also seen in the movie.

A lot of T’Chaka concept art. Spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet.

Appreciate it. Based on infinity war trailer, [spoil]do you think the Jabari will take over boarder security? They seem to have the ability to appear out of nowhere.[/spoil] Lol

I think the fact this is a younger inexperienced T'Challa in part justifies us not getting the version of BP you were necessarily hoping for. It's not a version of BP we've ever seen in comics outside of Rise. It's a relatively rookie BP. A couple movies in, and we might get a version that you (and Priest) are more accustomed to.

Really not surprising. Wasn't Boseman at one point considered the most popular US actor in China?

good question hard to say
[spoil] He could but I'm guessing he won't, at least not entirely. The border tribe has been protecting the borders for a very long time and are probably specially trained and located in such a way that it makes the most sense for them to keep doing it. I don't know if M'Baku would want to suddenly change his tribes way of life so drastically even if he is friendly with T'Challa now. From the trailer a lot of the combatants are dressed in the standard border tribe attire. I'm going to assume they are still from eh border tribe until shown otherwise.
The question I have after the BP movie is what will happen too W'Kabi. Is he in prison? Probation? Was he stripped of his rank? I'd imagine in order to prevent further discord, chaos and another uprising the blame would be placed on a few and not everyone. Hell maybe all those who stood with Killmonger will be punished idk. I have no idea and I'm not sure Marvel is going to give us a straight answer.
Based on the Infinity War trailer, M'Baku is now in a trusted position and possibly working together with the other tribes going forward. [/spoil]

Potential love interests in the BP Movie from 2016, i.e. Monica Lynne.
What is likely gonna happen is they're gonna use Monica in the movie and that'll lead to a return for her in the comics. Marvel loves doing that with synergy.
It depends on what the book is like 2 years from now but I would not be surprised if it's in the cards.

I think for the movies they'll explore someone new who happens to have the name Monica Lynne.
It's like Jane Foster. They just slapped the name onto the existing female character that fit the script.

Yea, pretty much this. May even give comic-Monica some of the MCU qualities depending on how the movie's interpretation of her is.
Calling it now, Monica be the MCU’s Malice in the sequel. And MCU Nakia will ultimately be endgame.
