Not sure if it's been brought up yet, but vibranium was shown to have mystical powers that T'Challa was able to tap into by creating shadow physics. He could conceivably, with it being comic books and him being on the title of the book, come up with some sort of weapon or containment devise to defeat Adversary. Easy least once he used his three steps ahead to set the trap. At most Storm should have been a distraction and T'Challa could have revealed a new aspect of shadow physics.
this is interesting and a lot better of what was suggested especially compared to a metal box; however, this still doesnt seem to be a method that would align to canonically has has been defeated in the past. this character is a god. would approach work against a character like bast? I wouldn't think so. the same would be applied here.

Then why did professor X say she knew she was wrong? Wakanda saw her fighter their King with Xmen in toe. Then she lied about the fight to look good in front of the others. At minimum age should say she chose the wrong side.
I would love to see how he applied his tactics against mephisto to see if it would be appropriate here. again they are two different entites what may work for mephisto wouldn't necessarily work against adversary.
I think he used satellites or some such to netralize Mephisto's power signature long enough to harm him.

Vibration is a metal and I'm sure I said steel/Vb hybrid on several post. And Bast isn't allergic to metal.

Which is exactly why it would have been cool. Duh. Showing a new aspect to R'Challa's intellect rather than handing it to Storm. He still could have utilized her in the story as a distraction, as I said. But why not give the feather to T'Challa? All he had to do was get him through the portal? Just have to contain a god, like tiger GOD, long enough to pop him out of our dimension until he breaks free eventually and comes back for revenge in future arc a few years down the road. Easy f'n peasy.

any magical being powers will be negated by iron. that is just marvel canon.

I saw this differently. tchalla was the mind behind the hive. he functioned as the brain I dont think because he didnt deal the blow to adversary it lessened him in any way . he was the only character who had all the knowledge and all the cards.
I almost admire the stamina to ignore recent canon in favor of decades old canon and then pretend that the decades old canon is the only canon despite staring at the newer canon over and over and over and over again and the acting like the other person is wrong despite posting multiple scans over and over and over again.

1. brought with him a group of Wakanda's brightest minds to New York and monitored Mephisto because they knew Mephisto was a threat
2. Mephisto draws his powers from his dimension, so in comic book science/magic, they cut him off from the source and put a force field around him
3. It gave T'challa eight seconds (or ten or something similar). He needed half that to knock him out and rip out his heart.
4. Ripping out his heart, keeping a part of him in the phyiscal plane, which would eventually weaken and kill Mephisto
5. T'challa threatened him for in)formation. Mephisto dragged him to hell (I believe it was implied T'challa let him. Mesphisto can't drag the unwilling or something he said to Ross)
6. Mephisto offered T'challa a deal... T'challa's soul for all of Wakanda.
7. T'challa agreed with stipulations (leave wakanda forever, never show up agaiin, give up Achebe)
8. Mephisto was teleported by the connection to the Panther God (that Mephisto saiddidn't exist) which connected him to all of the previous Panthers
9. It was too much energy for Mephisto. He gave up the deal and agreed with T'challa's price.
So, notice a few things here:
1. T'challa brought in WAKANDA scientists. Not Thunderball. Not Eden. Not Storm. Wakanda.
2. T'challa physically confronted Mephisto himself to defeat him on the mortal plane.
3. You can't defeat a god/devil like Mephisto like that, he had to take it to his realm and play poker with one of the greatest manipulators in the Marvel universe.
4. He looked Mephisto in the eye, and when mephisto said it woudl destroy not only mephisto but all of the panther spirits... T'challa didn't blink. This is an example of the "master poker face" talked abotu in priest run.
5. Why haven't you read one of the most iconic Black Panther stories of all time?

The issue is that Coates could easily have given it to T'Challa, believably, and still been the brain behind the hive. Used Storm and the others as a distraction while he set up his own coup de gras with little change to his story other than giving Storma HUGE feat and granting him nothing more than something he's done many times, which is, as you said, be the brain behind the plan.
continue to enjoy hudlin's rendition of t'challa like no other.
who would you like to see take over the bp books after the current fellow. is there anyone out there /not necessarily a comic writer/ that has expressed interest in writing this amazing king? in my mind, he is truly the best character that has unexplored potential. he spent decades in the back ground until priest opened every ones eyes to his potential. after the movie, there must be some creative writer out there that wants a crack at the king of the most advance society the world has ever seen.

There is a man who post under the name of Redjack. He wrote the good short live "Mosaic" He is working on the new season of Avengers Assemble. Donny Cates is doing amazing work for Marvel. Greg Pak and Tom King would be good. Kevin Grudoiux creator of Blue Marvel. Milton Davis would be my choice for a novel series.

I would like a collaboration of some of the gentlepeople here and on HEF.
Oh yeah, Redback. You nailed it. Still, some of the saner posters have some very good, believable stories that should see print.
Shame this Coates lack luster arc ending is overwhelming discussion about the Rise of the Panther mini.
Far from perfect, but the characterization was excellent all around (Hunter especially, if only because he'd been remembered), some nice setup and exploration of Wakanda and what have you.
Shame his Avengers membership wasn't examined more, but I liked it overall.
Also, that spear ride was bad ass
