Good post. Some very interesting tidbits in the article.
This is Coates reaction on Pepper Potts on Invisible Iron Man by Matt fraction.
Perhaps T'Challa's supporting cast, especially the women (Shuri, Ramonda, the Dora Milaje, and maybe the love interest (if any)), may get a well-needed profile boost.
Speaking of which, its interesting that a good chunk of T'Challa's supporting casts are women. Some of them play a big role in his story too. We might get more of that.
Again, the reference on women (a good thing). More importantly, he might be against killing characters for no apparent reason. Good thing again.
Not too surprising, as T'Challa and Cap have alot in common in terms of what they represent to their people.
Potential for lots of talking. As long as its good, I'm all in.
The quote refers to his opinion on Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. We may have a good amount of (hopefully high quality) banter being T'Challa and the supporting cast. Something that definitely needs to happen.
Coates is saying the right things so far, imo. Hopefully, the execution goes well.
Gives hope that he is gonna bring back some of the female characters that really need to be fleshed out more. heres hoping for Shuri, QDJ, Okoye, and the like. maybe even get some Dora and Hatut Zeraze story as well

I'm intrigued on how QDJ will fit in the story, if she is used. But that's what good writers are there for.

I agree with you 100%.
Good writers don't just come in an kill off 100% of a characters supporting cast just to push their own story based agenda.
Queen Divine Justice was an interesting character introduced to the BP mythos that really grew on me in much the same way that Hudlin's Shuri and Liss's Sofija did.
As far as I'm concerned, they all deserve to return to being full time supporting members of the BP mythos.

Point of order as I look back at the cover for Coate's upcoming book...
He's changed the Wakandan flag. Previously it was a sort of tribal, Nepalish double-triangle flag. Currently it's more ... neo-African, I guess? Or Pan-African I suppose, since it shares those colours plus yellow for the circle holding the Wakandan panther.
Not a fan personally (the original flag looked a lot more unique and harkened to Wakanda's tribal roots), but it seems he went in a more general African vibe for the newer version. More international style certainly, which fits in what I've read (very little) of his work.

... What is the name of the wakandan currency? What wakandan-owned corporations are active on Marvel Earth?

For those wondering, here's the old flag (or at least what I think is the old flag). I couldn't find a bigger one.

Personally, I prefer the new flag.

That's probably more Stelfreeze than Coates, and I believe that flag has been used prior to the current BP creative team.

Yea, that flag appears to be at the least 3 years old.
Here's a fan making a vertical version of the flag 3 years ago:

Well, I've just been set right. :D
Still stand by the older flag, though.

the newer the one is definitely better IMO.
The older one just seems Bland and dry. Even the Latverian flag is better than the old one
