For fucks sake, it will be a glorious day when this wannabe X-Men writer finally leaves. And here’s to hoping his successor pulls a Killmonger and burns everything he’s poisoned the mythos with.
The irony is that the x-department seems to want nothing to do with black male characters OR writers, so fat chance of him teleporting over to x-men country even if he crammed Storm in 20 different Marvel books.

So true and indicative of Coates utterly pathetic agenda driven foisting of Storm and other X-related non-entities upon the BP mythos.
T'challa is throwing punches, knees and cat scratches at dude all the way down during their fall while both were protected by their own vibranium suits... The only real pause was when they argued while the A-train split them apart and sped on it's way to downtown Wakanda!
Those strikes looked like an intent to do serious harm otherwise he would have used the same submission hold he used on M'baku to end the fight!
Eyewitness Passenger: "I was on my way downtown on the A-train to that great big vibranium swap meet when I saw my king fighting that new dude!"
Interviewer: "In your opinion did T'challa seem at all overcome by bloodlust to you?"
Eyewitness Passenger: "I don't know nothing bout' no bloodlust but he looked pretty mad as we soared by!"
Interviewer: "Thanks, back to you MindofShadow."

Never have I seen a writer so hungry to prove his X-men savvy chops, desecrate the BP mythos to this extent.
Bereft of any original ideas or concepts or scenarios, Coates stays shoving X-related references and mainstays into a mythos that the X-office chose to hate with a passion during Reginald Hudlin's tenure writing the Black Panther.
Marvel stay hella weak allowing this sorry excuse for a writer the amount of latitude they've given him thus far, to run rough shod over an entire mythos.
Yes, at some point you have to lay this at Marvels top office doorstep cause i dont see them letting an outside writer so unproven jump right on in and stomp all over an Iron Man, Spiderman etc... I believe that he continues to write for HIS fans and not Black Panther fans. I can even throw in that there may be casual fans that like what Coates has done. Maybe his writing technique has improved but his handle on the content and ability to capture the voice of The Black Panther, I'm sorry its just not there!

Thank you for being so even handed with this solid post.
As you've astutely pointed out, Coates would never have been allowed to run roughshod over any of Marvel's other mainstream characters to this extent.
Unfortunately, post Hudlin, the BP mythos has suffered under the penmanship of agenda driven writers more interested in using the mythos as a convenient stepping stone to other projects.

Nice economics theory lecture.
It was a good thing that Coogler & Co. had that marketplace scene in the movie much more an entire Merchant Clan who could challenge for the throne.
Factors of production: land, labor, capital and big dreamers (entrepenuership/spirit of entrepenuership) and there were some dreamers in that market scene.
"Vibranium is all around us-" from downstream to upstream. They mine it, they refine it and they make it into things that they like/value. And if they lose it then they got the brains to come up with something else.
And if they cannot make movies then they will do like T'Chaka and find a way to watch Back to the Future by any means necessary.
P.S: The Youtuber might be surprised by what the Mayan were doing with their one crop called maize aka corn :

I have heard casual fans complain too. It's not enough to get them to drop the book but they see it too.
Yes this falls at Marvel's top office footsteps. I could understand if there was a plan to build a foundation of mutants and Wakandans. I mean take the original Gen X kids-how much DEADLIER would they be if you had them in Wakandd? Where folk who look like Synch are the majority and not ghetto stereotypes?
Who would want to mess with a Dora trained Jubliee, Paige & Monet? We won't discuss what Wakanda could do with Prodigy-if he had his powers.
Wakandans took the Skrulls to the wood shed and sent them packing-would ANYTHING be left of them if you had Dora/Wakandan trained mutants?
Instead we get this mess. Especially with an office that doesn't care. They might sa well give Wakanda whatever remains of the Inhumans and rebuild. Flint might be Wakandan for all we know. Since very little is known about his father.

That 1.3 billion dollar elephant in the room...
Once upon a time in an alternate time dimension the Black Panther was that character that struggled but that was yesterday... Today 1.3 billion dollars makes him a character that should not have to struggle any longer!
At what point does it officially become a bonafide cash cow and get that type of treatment as is afforded other characters for decades?
Black Panther is not that character that needs an X-boost or a Star Wars type assist from any other characters because this is the moment it has been waiting for since 1966 and 1.3 billion dollars confirms this!
I'm willing to ignore the lack of a Royal Talon Fighter toy especially with Toys R Us gone belly up and leaving a gaping hole in the sandbox playtime category but to not have it's own solo office like other franchises do is glaring!
There should literally be room set aside at Disney full of Black Panther MCU products (for inspiration of course duh) where a Manhattan Project team only focuses on adding more to that 1.3 billion dollars with no outside interferences period!
What Disney accountant is fact checking the revenue books and is not insisting on more cash going to this intellectual property while the iron is ever so hot for striking!
Every time a silly idea comes up for Black Panther all they should here is this...
