New CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Casting Call Seeks Wakandian African Extras Among Others
Likely referencing to scenes that will take place in the Black Panther's (Chadwick Boseman) nation of Wakanda, an updated casting call for Captain America: Civil War has surfaced.
With filming set to begin in the coming weeks, Captain America: Civil War is currently seeking background extras in Atlanta, Georgia, where the bulk of principal photography will take place before moving to several other locations. Following reports that the highly-anticipated Marvel sequel needed Southeast Asian men and women, Tammy Smith Casting now reports that Civil War is looking for "Upscale men and woman" (Men in dark suits and women in dark pants/skirt suits and/or dark conservative dresses ), "Military Men" (with real experience as Military or Weapons/ tactical training), "African men and women" (Nigerian, Ethiopian, Kenyan, etc in casual clothes or ethnic wardrobe), and lastly "College Students" (Ivy League College appropriate attire required).
Interesting. I find it curious that it says ethnic or casual wardrobe. Also curious about the Southeast Asian men and women. Part of the film taking place in that part of the world?

If the idea that the fears about super humans is becoming a global issue, they might at least show a few scenes or news clips or whatever from other parts of the world, Asia included.

Ah, good call. I didn't think of that.
T'Challa in theory can go either way, because he is a super human but he also is government. If the law simply states that superhumans need to register with their own government, T'Challa won't give a damn since he IS government. So the SHRA essentially means metahumans need to be held accountable to people like him.
But if the SHRA somehow means some sort of global governing body is making laws which force other nations to abide by them, I can see T'Challa and a lot of other nations quite frankly not necessarily wanting to go along with that.
As a third factor, if they wanna retcon Steve having some sort of prior friendship with T'Challa's grand father, like we saw in Flags with Our Fathers and Priests original story, there might be some degree of comradery or debt of honor or whatever between Steve and Wakanda that could play into things (though this scenario is probably the least likely).
Basically there are a lot of ways they can do. Honestly I don't even expect T'Challa to really be a part of the conflict. I think they'll just use him to voice the international perspective on the fears of the growing super human issue. Just showing him being interviewed by CNN or whatever to help establish some exposition. Which isnt' to say he wouldn't be cool if he didn't suit up and get a piece of the action... but I'm not going into the movie expecting it.
i believe it was confirmed T'challa is goign to be IN COSTUME for the movie so I woudl expect at least one action scene.

I think we might be getting too exciting about how much of an integral part T'challa is actually goign to play in CW.
Cap and Stark will command a vast majority of the screen time. It has been confirmed Bucky is playing some sort of an integral role as well.
then add in some villains (Zemo it seems like) + the fact Widow is in it (and she is VERY popular nad paid VERY well so she will be in it big time).
Oh and confirmed Hawkeye. And confirmed Falcon. And possibly Spider-Man.
There are A LOT of moving pieces. Let's just hope the limited time T'challa is on screen it is memorable enough for people to CRAVE a Black Panther movie and he isnt overshadowed too much.

They would probably have T'Challa appear near the end of the movie as a never before seen ally who debuts in dramatic fashion to help Steve escape from SRA forces. That's how I would do it.

Without a doubt. Maybe even a few Doras show up to take out some foot soldiers.

seems like t'challa will face deconstruction in the movies as well. Lol. I'm done (Take it with a grain of salt tho)

Nah keep all the good stuff for his own movie. I hope the Doras are more like the Priest/EMH versions not the ones we have now.

I'm willing to bet that T'challa's role in Civil War, got completely downgraded after "Spider-Man" came into the picture. But i do think it would be interesting, if they replaced Peter Parker with Miles Morales, given in light of recent events in the real world . It would be interesting to see how the crowds in the Marvel U would react to an "African-American" teenager as Spider-Man . Would they instantly side with all heroes being registered? Or would they believe he was profiled, theres alot that can be explored their, and if that , were to happen, I wouldn't have a problem with T'challa's role being downgraded in the movie. However, we all know Marvel wouldn't dare stir up that much controversy.
With that being said, The Black Panther Movie takes place between Avengers Infinity War Parts 1 & 2. So it's entirely possible that there is a big battle that would take place in Wakanda. I woudln't have a problem with Wakanda taking some damage, as long as they come out on top in th end, similar to what happened to Gotham in the last installment of the Dark Knight Series.

It seems to me that the Russo's doing Infinity War should be good news for BP. Surely they had some input in putting T'challa in Civil War, so they obviously want to use the character in some capacity so I expect a lot of T'challa in Infinity War as well. (Can I dream he would be leading the Avengers at that point lol?)

Can I dream that Thanos army attacking Wakanda would turn into the movie version of See Wakanda and Die?
Can I go ahead and dream that please?
