Emma Frost was a villain that got stomped by Storm and Jean Grey. Look at her now.
I'm not reading any X-Books so I really don't care about what an X-writer does. If the BP writer tells a great story about a relationship between T'Challa and Nightshade or Princess Zanda then I'm all about it.
And Scott has gotten trolled by various characters about his relationship to Emma... I've probably read someone suggesting Emma's been mind controlling him into the relationship a dozen times.
So similar to Scott and Emma is is POSSIBLE a given writer might have another character troll or whatever him dating a super villain. That honestly isn't incredibly unrealistic for someone to do that. But ultimately I don't think it matters. If you can get people to get on board with the relationship, the rest is moot.
Shuri's return will be the final deal breaker for me as far as Coates Black Panther book.
No Shuri and I won't even pick it up.
Frak a sausage fest.
I think Shuri will be back. I just hope they bring back a few others like QDJ, Zuri, Ramonda, M'Baku and Killmonger. BP's needs a consistent supporting cast like all the other characters get.
Where as i dont think Okoye would be a good fit for T'Challa due to her age, I do think her and Queen Divine Justice should make an appearance back into T'Challa's supporting cast. Though i think they should have him take a look at a Wakandan love interest and just play it out to see how it goes.
My money is still on them just using Monica Lynne since I'm guessing that's who they'll probably use in the movie (again, that's a guess).
Not that comics need to follow the movies of course... but it's an understandable way to go.

That hasn't hurt Scott or Emma's status in the comics or their popularity outside of it. Like I said if some writer in another book wants to troll BP's relationship with Nightshade or any other person then that's on them. I'm just 100% positive that it's a book I won't be reading.

It certainly hasn't hurt Emma. You can make the arguement that becoming Scotts girlfriend make her one of the top 5 most high profile female characters in marvel (at least on the comic book side).
It probably isn't super likely the same would happen to Nightshade, but ya never know. The right angle and story can do wonders.
For the most part, when people get upset about this sort of stuff it's like 6 guys on an internet board blogging. THe majority of readers really don't care about this sort of stuff... the majority probably don't even know who Nightshade is. She's done a few things here and there, but has mostly been out of the spotlight for awhile.
Use her or not use it, it's unlikely it'll really be a big deal either way.
It's like when people were saying after the divorce T'Challa should've hooked up with Monica Rambeau because that would've made headlines and sent a message and I'm just like...bruh, I don't think most people that invested in it either way.

Were the Dora's that young outside of the Priest run? I always assumed they were young adults afterwards.
-
The Doras are referred to as teenagers several times. And when one of them tries to kill Monica someone tries to dissuade T'Challa from getting violent with her by saying "She's just a child."

Queen Divine Justice is the worst character Priest ever created and I would take any character back before her

Her not showing up would be disappointing, that's for sure.
I do hope the rest of the supporting cast from the previous runs come back in some capacity. Might as well take advantage of this "reboot" and make it happen.

It hasn't hurt Scott either. His profile has been much higher as of late.
You're right, a T'Challa/Nightshade pairing most likely won't boost her profile but that shouldn't be the reason to put them together.

Same thing was said about Shuri when Hudlin created her. ;)
All it takes is someone willing to give these characters a chance and do something with them.

I mean if they can't find a love interest for T'challa , I at least wish they'd give him a Genetic Son, (Superboy, Kid Apocalypse, Damian Wayne). That would be a sick way to Re-Introduce Azari.

QDJ is an enigma lol. I like the character but it was as if she was in the story, for the sake of being in in the story. I may have to re-read the second half of the Priest run in case if missed something concerning her.

They can find a love interest for T'Challa if they wanted to. I just hope it's something that would last a while and won't be destroyed later due external factors.
Wouldn't bringing back Azari bring up the obvious question of "who's the mother" and "why isn't he with her" and all that? Do those questions matter, at all?
