I bet they use that blond girl he dated in college. And Ross and Hunter might be in it too. They are going to want some white people in the movie in non-villain and anti-hero roles.
Just watch.
Not a chance in hell T'challa's movie romance will be with a white girl. Not a chance lol

Race-bend Nikki (the girl Tchalla dated in college) into an Asian or a Hispanic and shut down any possible backlash.

Hopefully they do use Ross and Hunter. They were both cool.

Hunter sort of involves a lot of back story that could take up a big chunk of the movie, so if they use him hopefully it's sparringly in the first film since Klaw is likely the major villain.

Sparringly is probably the way to go. I think whenever you're doing a first movie, you're trying to steamline things to the greatest possible degree. It's always a mistake to throw in TOO many characters. But at the same time, I think there's value in planting seeds for the future. Characters like Hunter and Shuri IMO simply have to be shown to exist. They can flesh them out more and use them more down the road.

March Madness... I bet you can't guess what Global Honored is watching right now!
While my favorite Mod is distracted with college basketball let me address a couple of issues off the top of my head...
Nikki Adams... I'm not sure in a two hour movie if you really want to touch the white girl angle unless you want the same heat Tyler Perry got for casting Kim Kardashian in one of his movies!
If you plan to court the black female vote this may or may not be a good idea moving forward!
Hunter... In the Chadwick Boseman era this could go south as whatever point you were trying to make could get lost in all that back story Spear of Bashenga was talking about!
Great for a side laugh or two but outside of a comic he could be a scene stealer that no one beyond this very thread would even get nor care for!
Ross... That method went out the window about a decade ago if you research the very purpose Priest created him for!
If Priest had written Black Panther in the Obama era I doubt Ross would even exist... Besides I have a even better idea!
Peter Parker... Foreign exchange student or Daily Bugle reporter/photographer given the inside tour of Wakanda would be all the bumbling laughs we need as he could provide the comic relief to T'challa's straight man without it coming off as offensive or intrusive!
Spiderman pays the bills and his very nature as a teenager makes this an easy sell without worrying about him overshadowing the main character because it is a default thing!
Of course this goes against my having Black Panther in an ensemble cast but this is more of a team up between characters that would never get in each other's way as would having Stark or Cap featured in a Black Panther movie would!
A teenaged Peter Parker instead of an older version giving access to Wakanda sells itself and draws in the younger crowd to the Black Panther franchise!
Seriously... Who better to give the fans a true POV tour of Wakanda than your friendly neighborhood Sony loaned Spiderman!

Spider-Man man will over shadow the main character because he's Spider-man. It's not like the comic where Peter guest stars so often it's no longer that big a deal. It you use Spider-man as the POV character for the movie you almost might as well change the title of it to Spider-man. All that said, I do think this would be a potential way of debuting the BP character in a Spidey movie. But probably not the first Spidey movie.

I don't even think we really need the Spider-Man connection in Black Panther's solo movie, as Civil War should be the place to set this up. Have T'Challa visiting the US for the first time/first time as king/first time in awhile and have it be a big deal, so Peter goes for the Daily Bugle. Civil War should whet the appetite enough for the non-comic readers that a Black Panther movie can be made without the "viewpoint" character for the "mainstream" audience.

Marketing a Black Panther movie has enough scared potential to make it a nightmare. Your average movie goer, the ones who had never heard of a gun toting space raccoon won't have space fantasy to lean on in explaing Wakanda. Disney and it's marketing are gonna need to put the King on cans of Dr. Pepper and a Hardee's tie-in. This ain't Princess and the frog here.

I doubt they'll use Hunter since on the surface his story may come off too similar to Loki's (adopted brother of the protagonist who turns into a villain).

Agreed. They would have to change the story big time. Waaaay too similar on the surface.

MB99 FOR THE WIN!!!
Loki = Hunter
And no Spiderman would not overshadow anybody because last I checked he was losing money in the Andrew Garfield era and Ironman is already a bigger box office draw in cinema so he would technically be playing catch up to everybody else including Black Panther who already has a good star attached to the role!
If we were talking about pre-Tobey Maguire Spiderman before the spider fatigue syndrome set in then perhaps but right now Marvel is doing Sony a favor in reviving a franchise they really didn't need at this point!
Spiderman is a guest star on loan and of course they will fit him in but since you have him you might as well pencil him before some executive cancels the Black Panther movie out of fear that it won't sell!
Darth Vader: "Search your feelings... You know this to be true!"

Are you trying to get black women to boycott the film? This film will have way more bigger issues to deal with without that happening (at least in the first film). Lets keep him single for awhile.

I really dont want to see the rinse and repeat superhero movie for Black Panther.
Give me Monica Lynne in name only. Completely revamp the character into someone that you could actually see Tchalla with.
Rogues Gallery is meaningless. Iron Man's rogues are horrid, but his movie did great.Hell, Red Skull was crap in Captain America. Follow the Winter Soldier format of just telling a good story, and have your heroes kick butt. Made the threat real, something that could happen in the real world.
Make the feats big but the gadgetry small.
Dont be afraid of cameos, as long they are used to build up the character and not steal the spotlight,
Give me my Warren Ellis/Stefano Caselli solo book now please.

If folks can watch District 9, Eureka & Big 6-they can believe a place like Wakanda exists. Not all of Africa is Feed the Children territory despite Sally Struthers.
Hardee's tie in will not work. You want to market Panther-you need his stuff at place where EVERYBODY goes.
I would do Subway, Target, Wal-Mart, Jack in the Box and places where they are in every community. Hardees? I don't think there is one in my city much like Red Robin & K-Mart where you ave to go to another city to shop there.
