You don't think the fact that he didn't go after Bane after what Bane did was a compromise? They happened to meet one day afterwards, but Bruce wasn't coming back to give an ass kicking.
I know people complan about DOom War, but I can't help but think if T'Challa just decided not to go after Doom at all that would have incited a reaction just as bad if not worse.
Nope, not at all. Batman has faced Bane since Knightfall and beat him no doubt and no pyrrhic victory. Can you say that Black Panther has definitively beat Doom hands down? Nope.
You seem to locked onto this while ignoring everything else that DC has Batman do.
DC does not compromise Batman.

Didn't Batman and Bane actually team up the very next time they saw each other, without even actually fighting each other and Batman simply letting Bane go? Imagine if BP and DOom did that after Doomwar?
Yeah Batman and Bane fought again later when Bane is engaged to Talia with Batman beating him... but I'm just saying that's a pretty far cry from coming back to give an ass kicking.

Batman beats entire alien deathsquad. DC doesn't care that a few fans complain.
Batman beats Supes. DC doesn't bat an eye when a few fans complain.
Batman beats entire Justice League. DC yawns when a few fans complain.
DC put their faith in the power of Batman.
If only Marvel would put half of that behind Black Panther.

I think it's less a case of Marvel not knowing what to do with BP and more them being satisfied with the returns they are getting from the efforts they're putting into it. The comic sales are just ok, but they get prestige from Coates being a Pulitzer winner. Sure, any one of us can think of a handful writers who are better suited for the character, but that's not a guarantee of better sales ( least not in today's market). Meanwhile, Marvel/Disney is making tons of money from the Black Panther IP in other area outside of comics. Marvel Management undoubtedly think things are great for BP.

No they didn't, and people complained about that too. Even though it made perfect sense under the circumstances.
My point being the same stuff which happens to T'Challa, which some can label watered down or compromising or whatever, can and does happen to Batman too. The difference is that Batman has decades and decades worth of stories to counterbalance that.

Rapidly diminishing sales on Coates BP should tell us that having a Pulitzer-prize winning author doesn't guarantee success either. The majority of Coates followers are long gone.
Marvel Comics isn't capitalizing on the success of BP because they aren't using him effectively in the comics. Outside of comics which is a separate division, they are doing quite well with toys, action figures and the upcoming Avengers: BP Quest.
That is a bold statement. TAS "is" Batman. When people ask who is Batman, TAS is where people should point you to.
"The Batman" was a divergence from TAS and it took a couple of seasons to get going.
watch the show.
I'm a live-actionTV writer by trade. Marvel Animation didn't bring me in by accident.
I'm as proud of this show as anything I've ever done. you have no idea what we're bringing. and that's in a good way.
we came to play. I can't say it more strongly than that. everyone involved with this season came to play. hard.

BP didn't show up yesterday. He has decades of comics as well. Marvel just didn't do anything meaningful.
Deadpool doesn't have decades of stories but Marvel uses him quite well.
Like I said, who says you have to wait.

I think Deadpool is being used pretty well too... though his list of accomplishments don't really equal the stuff you listed Batman as doing either.
Right now I think it's actually debatable whether or not Deadpool is doing more or even as much as Black Panther.
Look at the shit ass job they did with Iron Man.
He is the biggest character in the MCU and his comics have been straight GARBAGE
Their response to Carol being Marvel's "wonder woman" was to have her drawn like a teenage boy, turn into an asshole gestapo, and punch a hole in Starks chests with no repercussions
CA: CW came out two years ago. Marvel has been on the clock with T'challa for over 2 years now. They are going to have a stretch where T'challa has shown up in 4 BILLION dollar movies in a row. The iron is not going to get any hotter. Gotta strike now man. Gotta hurt creator feelings if you have to.
Panther quest Tchalla is who we should of gotten for thr past 3 years. That's what keeps sales up and captures new reader's

Okay so in knightfall he didn't come back and beat bane's ass.. how many other arcs and series has Batman had where he comes back sbd curbstomped the villain? Exactly.
Like marvel said, DC doesn't compromise Batman. If marvel out half that effort into BP, we would have huge results
