So since Okoye is finally coming out of comic book limbo, looking like her movie counterpart no less, I'm gonna copy and paste my post on the HEF on how to revamp Nakia.
Sounds like a great way to get her into the comics.
Priest did the afterlife. With Mephisto and his coma after fighter Killmonger. Its where the concept of ancestors being on the form of panthers comes from. Hudlin does the spirit world too for the wedding.
Ah, you are right, I had forgotten, and stand corrected

My issue isn't "how can we explain how this character is called Nakia?" It's "can Malice ever be used as a villain if we introduce another Nakia?"
Coates' Orisha are that same hole. The Orisha is a religion in Western Africa. They're not even technically gods I think. Then he just took names of gods from across Africa and put them in.
Bast has his own fictional pantheon which moon knights god is part of.
Yeah, at this point, the trend of going for pan-Africa for Wakanda has been firmly established (the Dora Milaje speaking Hausa is another example). Like I said, I'm not a fan of the whole Bast thing, but it's a lost battle at this point.

You can have 2 Nakias in the same way you can have 2 Nick Furys ... it can be done, but it obviously looks to be a forced attempt at synergy.

Black Panther is No.1 at the box office for 5 straight weeks, the first movie to accomplish this since Avatar in 2010. This movie has great legs.
Approaching $100mil in China.

You can also have a Malice without a Nakia. Remember the first Malice was different from Nakia and appeared in Jungle Action.
The techno jungle is pointless in the MCU unless you want it to be something his ancestors built. Necropolis has always had potential but is problematic as far mainstream sensibilities go and the herb has already replaced it.
How exactly is the Tehno Jungle "pointless" in the MCU when it's clearly stated in the comic books to be of T'Challa's design in much the same way as Reed Richards, Tony Stark's and Doom's signature advancements are in their respective mythos?

From what I've gathered, Orishas can or can't be gods depending on who they are and what they do. It also varies by clan so Orishas can range from spirits to full on gods. That said, orisha is more of another name for god as opposed to taking names from other mythologies. In popular West African culture "orisha" and "god" are fully interchangeable. (Source: Yoruba friends)
And if I'm being honest, I'd rather we got original names for the Wakandan gods, meaning no Egyptian or even West African wordings. They're all black African but I never saw the point of taking those names directly from other cultures when you could just as easily adapt their names to make something new. But that's an unholy nitpick

The answer is Yes considering malice was a different Character all together in McGregors run. Nakia should come back malieka is the perfect Character to use as well since that is pretty much MCU Nakia anyways

This is wonderful news.
It also proves that movies featuring people of African heritage in non-stereotypical roles, definitely has international appeal.
Rape camps not needed.

On the contrary.
Pointing out the illogical nature of Coates lazy usage of Orishas as opposed to deities native to Wakanda, is anything but nit picky.
No, because. It's just like with Coates being a consultant to Evans Rise and the scripts are Evans yet article's and the book itself gives Coates first billing, making it seem as though Coates is writing the book and it's not until you get to the second page in the book that it says Evans is the writer. Also in the interviews and articles it says that the force push, and art concepts are Coates when they are not. People are not getting their due credit and one guy is leeching it.
So no, Coates stated early on that he was not big on afrofuturist elements (why the hell would marvel out a guy like that on BP is beyond me) and we would see those themes in Stelfreeze art so there is absolutely no reason to give him equal credit on something he had no hand in
Agreed 100%.

The techno jungle is one of T'Challa's most impressive feats so I don't see how it could be considered pointless. In fact, I can see it becoming very relevant during Infinity War, unleashing Wakanda's full tech might.

True. There are already 2 Malice in Wakanda mythos (plus 1-2 unrelated to Wakamda). What's one more I guess.

Not a one in sight. And to see some of the comments made by the South Korean and Chinese audiences, more movies like this are needed to dispel the salacious myths of Black people, particularly African-Americans, overseas.
