So that's why they made Danvers playable instead of a DLC?
Marvel hasn't had a flop since early on in Phase 1 with Incredible Hulk (which even then underperformed I don't know if it actually bombed) so Captain Marvel will likely be a success regardless.
So no reason not to make BP playable from the start then. Glad we agree.
I wonder if this is also a digital release. Also that Capcom costume is my favorite interpretation of the thrice blessed armor
Yeah, it's weird. I wasn't a fan of the armor in the comics, but that particular version of it really works for some reason. Maybe it's the colors.

Can'take say for certain, but I wouldn't be shocked if they came to the conclusion that T'Challa might be stronger incentive to guy the dlc than Carol.
It's definitely the colors and I feel it fits the mysical theme they want to convey with the armor

It was a dumb move to not make BP playable from the start, no need to sugar coat or make excuses.
BP is desirable but Carol isn't to Marvel? Lol
Yea ok...
Ppl would be a fool to buy the game now unless they're in an esports league. Otherwise just check check back 6 months from now with the "ultimate edition... or like me, a year + when the game is half off... and I'll probably be on the fence as to whether I want to show them any support for this hot greedy mess of a subpar product

To the audience? Of the two of them, Black Panther is definitely the bigger draw right now. Marvel's betting on both of their movies being successful, but one already has had a meaty supporting role in a hit movie that did over a billion at the box office.

They got greedy and thought people were gonna buy it just because it was a Marvel vs. Capcom game. Now they actually have serious competition with games like DB FighterZ that came and stole their thunder.

Yea, but to Marvel and Capcom? it was clearly Captain Marvel. She was all up in the video for the launch trailer, the marketing, the game cover, the first playable characters, etc. Even Batman in Injustice was like "damn, over-exposure much? " :p
They used her like she was the one that was the big draw and that having a doodoo roster would be ok b/c it's Carol Danvers next to Megaman and Ironman!!! heh. Should've gave Black Panther and Venom that treatment. But Capcom wanted to learn the cheap and hard way.

I agree but DBZ wouldn't have stolen their thunder as bad if the graphics and launch roster weren't so terrible either. But there is a positive in that having competition brings about the type of humble pie that will let these studios know that they can't be half-assing and trying to nickle and dime consumers.

That comment section is CRAZY. People twisting themselves in knots trying to come up with reasons why the Bat would win. One person was arguing that, because Batman was able to defeat Superman a few times with kryptonite, that THAT means Batman can kill Black Panther. Last time I checked, Black Panther wasn't susceptible to kryptonite, even if it existed in the Marvel Universe, so I don't see how that argument is logical. But who needs logic, right? LOL
Paul Renaud is the artist of the new book!!!
It's also 6 issues.
Ugh Another person picked up by Coates... Hopefully he is more like Rembert and Less like Gay, Coates, or Harvey... Can we get a real writer on the books who want to elevate T'Challa and have the no how to do it? Rather then these peeps wanting to dip their feet into comics using BP as their throwaway?
I honestly thought Yona Harvey's issues of Black Panther and the Crew were great.
Anyway, I don't have confidence in this story's success, but it sounds like a limited series anyway. If it draws heavily from the early Fantastic Four and Panther's Rage I'll be interested more, but this is a definite maybe.

Why is Killmonger in a "Year One" BP story?

The movie looks to be connecting their origins (I think it was reported two actors playing young T'Challa and Killmonger filmed together) so the comic is probably gonna incorporate that.
