Nothing in this world would make me happier than seeing T'Challa and Ororoe back together in the comics. Do I think it's realistic given the synergy between the BP comic and the MCU depiction that will more than likely take precedent? Probably not, which is why I submitted my Monica Rambeua theory as a potential "filler" for at role..
However
I'd like to theorize on how Coates would bring the two back together. Obviously there would have to be forgiveness granted from both respective parties. I would also like it if were something that kind of simmered in the background for the first couple issues, maybe even throughout the duration of "season 1" before becoming a fully fledged coupling in season 2. I'd like to see that they both genuinely have missed each other, I would like for T'Challa to have really grown and matured past the emasculation he was subject to during Hickman's run and for Ororoe to truly respect how he has truly and rightfully regained the respect and authority of the Wakandan populace after the events of "Nation Beneath Our Feet". I would also like for T'Challa to admit that annulling the marriage so suddenly and swiftly was a mistake, I could see a scene similar to Priest's run, where T'Challa admits how weary he was from certain events, perhaps even revealing to her the "time reset" and her truly listening and understanding as ONLY she could.
I believe it is important to stress that these two are supposed to be soul mates, they've known each other since they were children and were each other's first loves. That type of love doesn't die, it can be buried, it can be hidden, but it can NEVER be fully extinguished. I want to see healing, friendship, and romantic rekindling BEFORE I see reconciliation. I would love to see a scene from Ororoe's perspective on just how much her time with T'Challa meant to her. Remembering fondly times like these

From T'Challa's perspective I'd like to see him reminiscing on the times Storm had his back. How she supported him early in the union, how she allowed herself to take a backseat (so to speak) from being a leading member of the X-Men to the wife of a King. A woman who would give up her established life to take on the mantle of Wakandan Queen is NO gesture to take for granted. I would like for T'Challa to rediscover the value of his feelings and to embrace that loving a woman only makes him in turn a better, more determined King.
In short, T'Challa and Ororoe's reconciliation should be based upon respect, forgiveness, and the love that can only be described as Agape. In this manner should they ever again be torn apart, it would only be in the definition that Scott and Jean or Peter or Mary Jane are torn apart, for specific soap opera story reasons with the understanding that these two are, through the ups and downs, conquered nations and destroyed universes, MEANT to be
My God.. That could work out beautifully. I would be completely on board with that and really it makes sense to try it again now with so much being focused onto BP. Rh and McDuffie actually treated the characters treat each other with respect and the whole thing was beneficial to both Storms stories and BP. Now would be the best time to try it again especially with the ANAD MU. If Coates did something like this it would be epic if he pulled it off.
Their children.
They have 2 from alt universes. How about a stroy where either one or both are in trouble and maybe even lost in the end. But during the fight to save that child or both T'challa and Storm regain their bond/love. Since they are just alt kids I think it's ok to lose one or two and then have the real T'challa and Storm maybe have a child down the road.
I think this the last time to try something like that and drag T'challa back to the past. The ship has sailed. It was overall not a popular move when they first did it, didn't get the support it needed from ALL of Marvel comics.... why would they bring up that negativity all over again when the character is about to blow? There is nothing to gain with Storm at this point. It would boost Storm, not T'challa. T'challa doesn't need her anymore.
And in story/on panel wise... the "lust" has been 100% one sided since the divorce. Storm ain't pining over T'challa anywhere on panel from my memory. T'challa is the one telling her which relationship to not get in, telling her she will always be his queen, showing up for late night end of the world booty calls, allowing her to enter Wakanda again... all T'challa. All one sided.
Has Storm showed one ounce of remorse on panel over what Namor did? Anything? I mean, she showed up to help or whatever during AvX and T'challa told her to GTFO.
Storm moved on and started her rebound relationship with Logan 2 seconds after the anullment. And I think she is with Forge now right?
And yes, of course, meta wise, that is because the X-office has control over Storm and have no love for T'challa so you don't see any of those feelings. But, if its no on panel, it didn't happen so that is moot.
People keep talking abotu how weak and milquetoast or whatever stupid word it is for T'challa to mentally break and cry because he coudln't kill a billion people... pining and crawling back to Storm everytime he has an excuse is 100x more pathetic.

I wouldn't have a problem if they did this...
But only if it didn't end up with them being back together. Just ended with a mutual, bury the hatchet, adult ending to the relationship. Both admit their faults, how it could have ended a different way in a different timeline, one last hug, and good bye forever and move the F on.

I enjoyed the BP/Storm relationship and would be entirely open to seeing them try it again.
That said, I have to admit it's PROBABLY not a good idea. In order for it to really be handled as well as it deserves, it requires both franchises to really be on board. And even if at any given time that's the case, there's no gurantee that down the line that won't change. Maybe the X-Men writers might decide they want Storm with Wolverine, or maybe the Black Panther writers will decide they want him with Monica Lynn. Of course a shift in direction can happen with any couple, but in the case of Storm and T'Challa it's twice as likely to happen because of the logisteics of 2 seperate franchises at work. It's simpler and frankly more sensible to have the character involved with people in their own books in their own franchises.
That could even be an issue with say Monica Rambeu and T'Challa if Coates in theory wanted them to be together, as some have shipped for. Right now Monica is free and clear but who is to say down the line Ewing wouldn't have designs for Monica to be with Blue Marvel, or maybe even her reuniting with Voodoo down the line. That's always an issue with another super hero, even one that isn't at the status of a Storm. Often getting your own Lois Lane is your best option. Though even that's not necessarily a lock as we're seeing with Stark and Mary Jane.
I'll say this about Storm moving on though.... I can't fault her for that because she was in the position of being dumped. When you're the one that didn't have a say in the relationship ending, you move on because frankly you don't have a choice but to move on. You don't have a say in the matter. Though I suppose the time runs out booty call did awaken a few old feelings... it's not like she turned him down.

The way Claremont set them up (and Priest sort of followed suit), they had this love that was never actually supposed to be actualized because they both came from different worlds. It was always there but they never could act upon it... part of me wonders if maybe they should have kept it that way. Never actually have them hook up and be together, but always have that connection between them whenever they interact.
Sometimes it's better if a couple NOT get together. They've teases Wolverine and Jean for decades... Claremont himself one said at the end of the universe Logan and Jean would be waiting for each other in his mind. And the sexual tension or whatever was always there... but I can't help but think if they actually did get together it would kill the fun. Having it just out of reach I think in some ways can be more interesting. Sometimes at least.

IMO, unless Storm's coming over on a permanent basis (which I wouldn't be against), she should be kept firmly at arm's length.

Agreed.
You can't do this break up stuff constantly with T'challa because whoever he marries is not only his wife, but a damn QUEEN.
Needs to be someone whoever writes Black Panther has 100% control over.
Speaking of Queens... I wonder how Shuri feels about Storm......

Question to all:
When Black Panther debuts his ongoing, would you be okay with it being spoiled on a separate thread here?

Love this idea. And it goes back to something I think you mentioned: an opportunity to acknowledged what happened, have each side says their piece, and ultimately bury the hatchet and possibly start anew. This idea also works regardless of whether or not they end up together down the line. That would be a great move.

You answered your own question. These characters don't write themselves, and we all know what the X-office feels about the marriage and possibly about T'Challa and the BP mythos as well.
With that said, Ziggiyy's scenario will give Storm the opportunity to address those issues that you mentioned in a mature, respectful way. Plus, it allows the opportunity for full reconciliation in a very positive manner, instead of what we currently have now: the need to moving on purely because fans have no choice but to accept a breakup done in a very unprofessional and immature manner.
People keep talking abotu how weak and milquetoast or whatever stupid word it is for T'challa to mentally break and cry because he coudln't kill a billion people... pining and crawling back to Storm everytime he has an excuse is 100x more pathetic.
Briefly...you should know by now there was far more to it than what you mentioned. Various users, myself included, were quite detailed on why we had issues with that scenario.
Nonetheless, I do feel that T'Challa and Ororo reconciling and then leaving the door open for something later down the line will be well-received, especially today. These are far different times than back then, as both characters are both in major stories and movies. I'd wager that the general public would be quite open to it, in fact.
Of course, you'll have the trolls and haters, but that's part of the game. Big deal.

She probably wasn't her biggest fan around the time New Avengers happened.
However, I can see her shifting her stance if T'Challa and Ororo do reconcile, if purely for her brother's sake.
