No, because. It's just like with Coates being a consultant to Evans Rise and the scripts are Evans yet article's and the book itself gives Coates first billing, making it seem as though Coates is writing the book and it's not until you get to the second page in the book that it says Evans is the writer. Also in the interviews and articles it says that the force push, and art concepts are Coates when they are not. People are not getting their due credit and one guy is leeching it.
So no, Coates stated early on that he was not big on afrofuturist elements (why the hell would marvel out a guy like that on BP is beyond me) and we would see those themes in Stelfreeze art so there is absolutely no reason to give him equal credit on something he had no hand in

After talking back and forth we came up with some new ideas for how T’Challa’s famed Vibranium-weave suit might work — in this case, absorbing kinetic energy and allowing him to fire that energy back out in short energy bursts. “Energy bursts” almost gets it wrong — think ‘force-push’ not ‘optic blast.’ All the old powers are there—enhanced senses, agility, peak-human strength etc. But this idea (and others) really came out of Brian’s thought — not just on the suit — but on the properties of Vibranium itself.
Seems to me like they worked together on it
The techno jungle is one of T'Challa's most impressive feats so I don't see how it could be considered pointless. In fact, I can see it becoming very relevant during Infinity War, unleashing Wakanda's full tech might.
The argument about it's relavence in part may stem from it's lack of relavence. He barely used it, ad when he does more often than not it'a just where he happens be doing stuff. Like anything else in fiction, it's only as relavence as the story makes it.
I'd certainly agree it SHOULD be relavent.
On the contrary.
Pointing out the illogical nature of Coates lazy usage of Orishas as opposed to deities native to Wakanda, is anything but nit picky.
It was just as lazy to use Bast as the name of the Wakandan Panther God IMO so its not a nitpick that I feel needs to be attached to a single writer. And it's a small issue for me because its basically just names.

I think the idea was to tie BP's mythos more to the rest of the MU. He did a team up with Moon Knight for example.
Again just playing devil's advocate .... I wasn't a big fan of it because it was so different from what we saw before.

There are a lot of things and characters from the BP mythos that seldom get used. Doesn't make them any less relevant.
The same is true for any character.

And right in that sane quote
". But this idea (and others) really came out of Brian’s thought — not just on the suit — but on the properties of Vibranium itself"
So, yeah it was Stelfreeze idea. Again credit were credit is due. But Folks are too busy asspatting Coates to give out credit to the people coming up with great ideas (or Great showings in Evans case) and piling it all onto Coates as if he thought of it himself

Except when. He used the techno Jungle to beat TPG Avatar.. that's a pretty big feat
The answer is Yes considering malice was a different Character all together in McGregors run. Nakia should come back malieka is the perfect Character to use as well since that is pretty much MCU Nakia anyways
I'm not talking about that Malice, I'm talking about the one that Priest used (as recently as the Annual that just happened).
Not a one in sight. And to see some of the comments made by the South Korean and Chinese audiences, more movies like this are needed to dispel the salacious myths of Black people, particularly African-Americans, overseas.

Agreed 100%.
This movie is doing so well on a GLOBAL scale which is really important for the very reasons you've mentioned in your post.

Forgive me if this has already been posted but Black Panther ties Avatar record:

Malice can be used again by simply having the original come back. Nakia was Brain washed by Mephisto and Achebe, there are plenty of ways to bring Nakia into the mix

Who would you say makes a more interesting villain, the first Malice or the second Malice?
Black Panther is No.1 at the box office for 5 straight weeks, the first movie to accomplish this since Avatar in 2010. This movie has great legs.
Approaching $100mil in China.
Wasn't there like an 88% drop in China though?

I noticed that aspect of Coates statement too.
It's pretty hard to miss or comprehend.

Not sure but if it was, that's still a good number for a film that most movies-goers overseas would likely ignore because of the cast.
