Agreed.
Christopher Priest really knocked the ball out've the park with the pre-Kasper Cole portion of his run on Black Panther.
Ross was pure comedy gold.
Unfortunately, most of T'Challa's supporting cast and character developments go into limbo whenver a new writer comes on board. :smh:

Seraphan...
Good luck with Zbrush... Pixologic has an online classroom so make sure that you take full advantage of it!
http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/
Also if you can collect 3D World magazine either in print or the digital version which is cheaper they always and I mean always have tips and tricks on Zbrush!
http://www.creativebloq.com/3d-world-magazine
The first week with Zbrush is "Hell Week" so don't get discouraged just keep plugging away with the different brushes and the overall user interface and by the second week if you have not fallen on your own sword yet things get easier from that point on!
Before sculpting Black Panther start with ugly deformed aliens first because then it won't matter how bad they look where as with a human with handsome features the mesh may not look as good as you want so you end up with this ball of MEH!
A jacked up crooked tooth one eyed alien can look however you want it to look but a distorted looking human won't pass the eye test... All the competitions in Zbrush have artists being slick by doing the monsters because even your mess ups still can be made to look good after all it is your monster right!
3DS Max I can't help you with I chose Ligthwave because the Zbrush models import real easy and Lightwave is user friendly to solo artists where a big budget movie pipeline would have multiple artists working on everything from skin shading to nostril hair textures!
You can make a movie by yourself with Lightwave if you have the time to learn it like Abiogenesis... I used this as inspiration for my planet making and background star fields and nebula along with my vision for the vibranium meteorite hitting in the heart of Wakanda!

I posted my planets and nebula pics on blacksciencefictionsociety.com for anyone signed up there and I'll soon start another thread for my creator owned character now that my learning curve has gotten much better!
Oh yes Lightwave also can be hooked up to your Xbox Kinect for motion capture which I plan to use for my animated workouts... Don't tempt me to use one of my Black Panther sculpts as a workout model! ;)
Seraphan here is a vibranium meteorite I did in Zbrush...

This can be done literally in minutes using these shortcuts...
1. After opening Zbrush go to the Lightbox tab in the upper left hand corner and select the NoisyDMesh tool which should be found under the Projects tab with all the other default spheres.
2. Choose a cool metallic color like blue or silver from the color palette located along the left column of the screen further down... If you like you can also change the material which is located just above the color palette for other cool effects.
3. Use either the standard brush or the move brush and stroke like a madman (Actually softly) over the mesh giving it random bumpy rocky shapes... Make sure the Activate Symmetry mode is off so that you don't have mirrored even shapes this is a meteorite after all (Activate Symmetry is located in the Transform tab and is one of the best features in Zbrush allowing you to sculpt one side of the model as it automatically fills in and mirrors the other side for you as you sculpt).
4. After you have the textured look you want go to the Movie tab and select Turntable and the model will be rotated giving you a look at your meteorite from all angles depending upon how you adjust the X,Y and Z axis.
5.Geek Out and then rinse, dry and repeat as often as you like to get different looks.
Now keep in mind that certain materials are difficult to import into other software where as the standard issue primary colors are mostly compatible... This means that the blues, the reds and the yellows have a smoother transition but things like this meteor made of Noisy Mesh doesn't translate well to other software!
If I nail the animation just right I'll try to give a visual of the meteor hurtling through space and striking Africa but my current computer is not up to speed for all the polygons I like to manipulate so I may have to upgrade to the Mac Pro or get one of those customized Boxx computers with upgradable graphic cards!
Happy Sculpting!!!
Life.
A day after the reboot, the landscapers totally annihilated my broadband line and service, then just promotion at the job and a possible move to San Antonio Texas (David Liss country) for a different business. But I've been lurking. Some interesting topics.
Sup Marvell.
Moneyspider, I see you (on twitter and on Greg Pak's feed).
if you move there, You'll love San Antonio. Very Nice people there.
Also Queen Justice Divine and Shuri. What would that meeting look like?
I liked the narration of Ross and his character for a bit, but did anyone else feel he wore out his welcome eventually?
He actually got a bit... annoying.
THe Mr. Clean figh tis hilarious though.
In regards to other threads...
I think as long as we EDUCATE with scans, issue numbers, ect... we should make our presence known.
Obviously, some threads are just designed to get a rise out of people. But if we have a chance to answer with just KNOWLEDGE... i think we should take it. Just abort the thread when it is that time. (You should abort the thread. You aren't helping. You know who you are. You are taking the bait.)
I've asked this question before in older threads, but with the forum reboot I lost the information...
What are T'challas best appearances in Avenger comics? Obviously Red Zone but what other Avenger stories have T'challa actually doing stuff productive?
And what was the runs he and storm were in F4?
I was in the process of getting these but then... forum destruction.

avengers vol 3 issues 19-23... ultron story
yeah I took the bait.
Avengers #62 ( how about the irony of Black Panther being a member of Mighty Avengers

Anyways Avengers 73-74
and then met the American singer Monica Lynne, with whom he became romantically involved. He helped the Avengers defeat the second Sons of the Serpent, and then revealed his true identity on American television. He encountered Daredevil, and revealed to him that he had deduced Daredevil's secret identity.

vol 1 avengers issues 50-90 are all great... they are the place where if a writer was going to take the character back to square 1.. a lot of inspiration would come from here.... whats really great to read is the letters pages in those issues. the wakandan faithful where loud and strong there and then.. also some OG unfans
Those are some good comics, I don't care what anybody says.
After this the Panther disappears from the Avengers ranks until the early Englehart run
The '72 Avengers with T'Challa, the Eastern European Scarlet Witch,Vietnamese Mantis and Frenchman Swordmans were arguably as multicultural as
the Avengers ever got until the Hickman run.
Sorry for the quality of the scan.

The biggest question I had after reading that comic was who in the hell is talking to T'Challa?

Anyone genuinely interested in learning about the Black Panther mythos would come into an appreciation thread dedicated to said mythos to ask relevant questions so to be quite frank, there's ZERO reason why any BP enthusiast should be seeking to "educate" anyone (outside of this thread) about T'Challa, Shuri or any of the other characters and concepts that form the nucleus of the BP mythos.
No amount of scans or well reasoned provision of factual evidence is going to convince any of the BP mythos detractors because they ALREADY have this information to hand but CHOOSE to DISREGARD it.
I personally have no time to waste on engaging with individuals or groups who have made their negative feelings about the BP mythos quite clear pre-CBR reboot and are only seeking to foment discontent and rancour post-reboot.
Anyone is welcome to come into this thread and join us in celebrating the BP mythos and if they're genuinely interested in learning more about the various characters, then all's well and good.
Peace.

It's from the first issue of Original Sin...
T'Challa is actually there for more than show.
Where is the scan from?

I posted better quality scans but the quality is still lacking sorry.
Is original sin #1 worth picking up. I'm only interested in it for panther and punisher
I thought it was brought up in the story that the person T'Challa was talking to was
[spoil]
Nick Fury
[/spoil]
Is original sin #1 worth picking up. I'm only interested in it for panther and punisher
Like Future's End, it was mostly step up. Though in Marvel's case, it had a lot less random deaths. Kinda funny, Marvel is trying to make one death poignant, while DC is slaughtering heroes left and right.
Is original sin #1 worth picking up. I'm only interested in it for panther and punisher
I actually liked it.
If the first issue is any indication Panther will play a larger role in this than he has in any previous event or crossover.

Nope, it was never mentioned who was talking to T'Challa.
[spoil]Notice that whoever was talking to him had that green shard or bullet. Also I think Fury was still on the moon. Whoever called T'Challa was somewhere else.[/spoil]
You know that it's not T'Challa right? That's Kasper Kole.
No, I didn't know actually, thank you for shedding some light on this. :o
I really like the character but I've yet to catch up on his solo adventures and there are a lot of things I ignore about his mythos/legacy.
Responding to trolls just makes you look like a troll then people think all BP fans are trolls.
What issue of NA is the issue with Tchalla and the old BP's on it? Or was that just a variant?
There's an issie with Tchalla and the old panthers inside an imag eof him which is the variant cover.
then
there's the picture with T'challa in front of a council of the old Panthers that is part of an actual issue. I think that's 18 next week but not sure.
