But it's certainly fair to say that Adversary isn't the ONLY major mystical threat which could have been used. There are several good options. Adversary was just one. But he's a viable character who has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust for quite a bit now, so I think it's nice he was used.
Yeah, 4 whole years. :D
Remember when the headlines
"Solo presales outpace Black Panther"
Solo just bombed
I just read that too. I knew solo was going to do bad. It's one of those stories that doesn't make sense. Jan is young in the original trilogy so this was pretty much like "hey you know how solo was about 25-30 in new Hope? Now younger to see how he was when he was 20-25!!"
Peothavs been asking for an obiwan movie which would of been Much more interesting, and it worked well with Ewan as he wants to do it. Or better yet, they go ntobthe KotoR route as there are a vast amount of really interesting stories to choose from there

I saw SOLO last Friday. I found it a very "safe" movie, without ambition to go beyond a fairly straightforward heist film. I don't see any real risk of it overtaking BP.
My bro, I understand why you do what you do.
I just feel it's worth getting banned especially when some choose to get "offended" when actual fact as opposed to flights of fantasy are posted herein.
speaking of which, any idea why Bbeeryan got banned?

In terms of WW, I only see Avenger's 4 taking it. In terms of domestic? I don't know. IW maybe. It looks like BP won't hit 700 Milly unless Disney pushed it, but I doubt that to be the case. But it's Damn close

supposedly the film was a mess and Ron Howard had to come in and save it. How was Gambino as Lando? And how was Thandi's character?
-
In any case, I can confidently say BP was a better-made movie, in terms of characterization & plot.

Glover was fine. Thandi's character was serviceable, but not all that memorable.
(I could say more, but that would require spoilers, and I'm rather not in the mood)
-
Black panther a better made movie then IW, Solo and Deadpool 2. All of them but Black Panther are just popcorn films with no heart.

Cavs were using all their Lebranium tonight. Lord

Probably Storm thread related. It can get pretty crazy in there some days.

i just received the 3 t'challa christopher p. books that were recommended to me on this thread and i wish to say thank you again. i have read the first two arcs and just finished enemy of the state. the stories are enjoyable, although a little confusing at first with the story being told by the young agent guy /does that continue through all the whole run?/
i tried to look back a couple of pages to thank the exact person that recommended the books to me but i could not find the post, there sure are a slew of posts on this thread. i am surprised t'challa does not have his own special thread area like spiderman and the xmen books. he certainly garners enough traffic to have his own special link.
my only complaint, about the run is the artists rendition of t'challa. i wish his facial features were more consistent between the artists over the years. several artist have drawn peter parker over the years and he normally looks the same, with t'challa, he has looked different in the few recent books i have read. do artists have trouble remembering what he looked like, or are most of these artist white and have trouble distinguishing facial features of black heroes?
one quick question, was the character who was t'challa's step mom around in stories previously before this run, or was she and others new characters created by christopher p.?

Officially this thread decided that Priest Tchalla is modeled after Avery Brooks playing "A Man Called Hawk". Lol
Ross narrates most of the run, but it becomes more traditional towards the late 30s.
The Step Mom I believe is a McGregor character
