Looks like Black Panther is getting a Legacy numbering of #165.
I'd guess that means they are including:
BP Vol.1 1-15
BP Vol.3 1-62
BP Vol.4 1-41
BP Vol.5 1-12
BP: MWF/MDMA 513-529
BP Vol.6 1-16
I guess the good news is that we can probably assume Marvel is anticipating publishing at least 35 more issues regardless of sales. The bad news is that that could be Coates season 3 & 4.

For those wondering, T'Challa shows up a page or two later. Found pencils of this splash page.

The preview art looks good. I like seeing Ayo & Aneka again. Seeing T'Challa, Shuri. and Zawavari showing up together is cool. The three of them seem like they would be an interesting team.
While I do think the X-Office needs to do better by Storm and should have done better with her marriage to BP, I still want them to be in each others lives as often as possible, especially when they are being written well together. I like seeing them team up and I like the fact that they still have strong feelings for one another. Storm is an important part of the BP mythos and I don't feel that AvX or its related titles provided proper closure for the end of their marriage. They still have unresolved feelings for one another so I wouldn't want them to go their separate ways.
Problem is only 2 people even bothered to write them correctly an that was Hudlin and Mcduffie. So while i understand, I dont think the X office cares enough to make any changes, not unless there was a huge upraor fromt he fan base. Which i also don't see happening. Its best to part their separate ways. Maybe another 8 years from now they might be able to act civil when it comes to BP and Storm

The only other time they even played at T'challa dating anyone else (despite T'challa not really being interested) Storm showed up and dumped rain on them.
Except when bendis had Kitty and starlord together you didn't see x office hoeing her out.

I'm not sure what we're seeing here can fairly be described as hoeing. She kissed a teammate .... something she has somewhat of a history of doing. Knitting her a scarlet letter might be a tad premature.

I've always had this idea for a love interest for T'Challa. What if T'Challa fell for a demigoddess that's the daughter of a forgotten wakandan deity?

Works for me.
Funny thing is, after Ezyo1000 answered my question, I researched Joanna Cargill. Something about her made me think "why not" then I saw she dated Cyclops and got clowned by Emma soooo...maybe not.
But yes, maybe a love interest created in the pages of BP is in order.

Whether or not she is rekindling the relationship is sort of the question mark.
Right now both are single and free to kiss whomever. I think T'Challa is clearly trying to rekindle things but they're not necessarily there yet.

I'd love to see this. And if we're truly stuck with Coates for a long time I can only hope he's open to doing this, especially since Nakia is gonna be fresh in the public mind as T'Challas love interest thanks to the movie.

Honestly I think by the time the movie comes out I think one of two things will happen:
1. Editorial tells Coates to stop having T'Challa being written like a chump and be written the way he's supposed to be written and also for him to stop being a supporting character in his own title.
2. Coates just up and jumps ship since his version of T'Challa is the polar opposite of MCU T'Challa in every way, especially since the movie version is gonna be the version that the public will be familiar with.
And thanks to Lupita, I'd say Nakia coming out of limbo is all but inevitable and maybe then T'Challa can FINALLY move on from Storm.

No to comics Nakia. She has way too much going against her in the comics. I rolled my eyes when I found out Lupita was playing her.

Well, sales are at 27k just two issues into season 2 with two satellite books that flopped. So if the solo continues to drop and gets to 20k or below by mid-season/issue18, maybe just maybe Coates sees the writings on the wall, coupled with your second point, and he decides its time to focus on whatever else he has going on. With Black Panther's shit luck, I wouldn't hold my breath lol but i could see that happening.
And yea, Nakia about to be the number 1 black woman in the MCU lol
Wouldn't be surprised if she starts popping up in some later episodes of Avengers Assemble or for sure the next season

This difference being that Black Panther hasn't been a consistently published solo book for 50 years.
It hasn't been a consistently published solo book for 10 years, really.
There was no BP book during the 80's and 90's so the character avoided the whole "Love Interest gets offed by arch foe" trope going on at the time facilitating
the character getting a new Love Interest.
Daredevil and Iron Man(2 examples of consistently published characters) change L.I. a lot mostly because their L.I's. tend to die a lot.
Whether they heel turn before they die is another issue.

Yeah same here, theres no logical reason why they are not exiled/imprissoned, if they no longer serve the purpose they did then they should simply be removed, all they doing is stealing panel space at this point!
-
For those who havent read Captain America Steve Rogers #18, T'Challa popped up at a UN meeting, and completely punked the shit out of Steve Rogers. It was one of the coolest moments of Secret Empire so far.

It's sort of the question asked when any hero is in the position of breaking the law. Are they better off locked up, or are they better off doing good while seeking redeption. We'll have to wait and see, but I think the scans of them fighting the monsters might be evidence to the later.

The X-Office is petty af. They're straight up acting like toddlers. They ignore a toy and mistreat until someone else wants to play with it and all of a sudden it's been their "favourite" all along. I wonder if Coates is aware that they're going out of their way to diminish his character development.

And the end point may well be to let it die... but in the least I think it's fair to give it a better degree of closure than it previously got.
If they can at least least part as friends on good terms, then think it was worth it. I do think he writers a pretty good Storm, and overall handles the relationship pretty well. So far at least.

Just poking in to say how much I miss Hickman's T'Challa. I remember how mad people got just because T'Challa cried of all things. Bet you miss that T'Challa now...

Yes at least he wasn't jobbing to Goon Slam Gary, Simping for Storm and shown to be incompetent so Shuri, Ayo and Aneka looked good.
Normally I be annoyed by the X-Office antics but since its screwing with Coates. I am just laughing.

Their spin off book crashed and burned and now they're crawling back to the Solo to waste panel time on their boring Character devolpment that no one cares about and then will shade throw at Tchalla when they should be thankful he didn't execute them
Are you trying to say that the X-office is "hoeing" Storm out based off her kiss with Gambit?
I for one will say that the X-office has been doing this sort of stuff to this black female character for decades, showing her to be kind of "loose" with her affections and just kissing anybody, really. The fact that they are continuing to do this to this black female character is not lost on me. Also, some of the same people in the X-Office right now are also executive producers of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" on the CW Network, a show on which Vixen, another black woman, has been kinda been spreading her affections around (but not with black characters on the show, of course, because the executive producers don't want to show us that).
The X-Office's behavior doesn't surprise me. They're up to their old tricks because they don't want to show you Storm with a black man...they'll show you Storm flirting and kissing ANYONE except a black man. Hell, I remember a few years ago in one X-Men issue they showed her flirting with Rocket Raccoon. Yep, a RACCOON.
The X-Office is predictable. Whenever Storm even so much LOOKS at a black man, they need to immediately counter that imagery with their own imagery showing her shoving her tongue down a non-black man's throat.
