He might have been excellent, I agree. We'll sadly never know. His character in Serenity was everything I would have wanted from a Priest inspired T'Challa.
But Chadwick was excellent, that we do know, and he was a perfect MU T'Challa.
Honestly I'm not sure that Chiwetel would have been better than Chadwick as far as playing a year one BP.
Not that Chadwick is necessarily younger, but he comes off that way. I think Eiofor has an older more experienced vibe to him, which doesn't necessarily work with where T'Challa initially is at in the MCU.
Also, I like Ejiofor as Mordo. I think he did a solid job with the character. The later phases of marvel movies I think have done a much better job creating more likable understandable villains, and I think Ejiofors performance was a big part of that. He got a fairly sizable role in the first Strange movie, and it seems a given he'll show up for the next one, so it seems like a pretty descent gig.

True, we'll never know.
And do we know if Chiwetel ever tried to get the role? Getting your own movie wit Marvel might make you alot of money, but it comes with serious obligations. Chadwick is probably contracted for at least five movies (3 panther, and 2 avengers) and I remember reading somewhere Bucky owes Disney 9 movies!

He's not the first Black hero, I don't know why people keep saying that. He's the first African hero with a 90% Black cast.

I thought she was meant to be Nightshade, but yeesh, talk about a bit part. I watched the movie 3 times and not once was her name stated

I heard the the Nightshade name was pulled because they wanted to use the character in Luke Cage?

Probably for the best, since a version of Nightshade is going to be in the second season of Luke Cage. Given how small the BP movie version is, might as well not bother naming her and saving it for Cages show.

Do you have a link or something? When the movie was first released I saw all kinds of alt right stuff about how racist black folks were for getting excited about the movie and white people who liked it were SJWs. Then there was the stuff about how the movie expressed Trump ideas and if you were somebody who didn't like Trump you were a hypocrite for liking this movie.

Agreed. They keep bringing up Blade to counter the Black Panther praise. Out of nowhere Blade is the "good negro" unlike those bad BLM Wakandans.

You are correct. Linda is the name of the character in the BP movie as per article by Vulture. Luke Cage's production team got the "Nightshade" name to use in the series.

African and Black is the same thing. They don't like the film. it's called acting. They are trying to confuse black people.
