Yay just what the BP franchise needs, more hanger one latching themselves on cause their base franchise and fans don’t care two turds about them
Heh.
But I don't see the X-Office fighting to get Eden back in to the fold so he might be here for a while.

I honestly keep forgetting about Eden. Has he showed up at all in the current arc?

Lol funny how that works, right? They aren't falling over themselves to get Eden back. I wonder why that is?

Not to my knowledge.

Don't know. Last I heard, he was still in Harlem trying to revive the Crew to find out who killed Ezra barber's mailman.

I guess they have no use for Black male mutants in X-ville.

He popped up in one issue to talk to Shuri and help fight the second wave of lizard men. So that is probably 13 or 14

His connection to the X-Office is being a mutant and being connected to Gateway, but really he was never actually used in any X books. Hickman basically used him in Secret Warriors and Avengers.
Maybe Integral was strong of a word, but based what I've read (just between Hickman and Coates), I take it that Manifold is one of his most trusted allies. In time runs out I always interpreted that the Manifold is very special to the universe, and even though he is only used as a plot device to save the cast of Secret Wars it was a pretty cool showing imo. Also with helping T'Challa take back his country. To me those are two very important events in relation to Black Panther and Wakanda. Out of all the characters T'Challa is connected with, Manifold was the one that was chosen.
Like I said I strongly agree that he's a glorified uber driver and we don't really know anything about him, but since Black Panther is getting a higher profile maybe more of an effort would be put into the character since he is associated with him. The MCU has some influences from Hickman's writing and Black Panther the suit is at least resembles the suit in Coates run so I wouldn't be surprised if Manifold made his way into different mediums (cartoons, movies, etc) as well (I forgot that he was a mutant).
I guess here is where im missing the reasoning. In TRO, i don't think T'challa and Manifold even talked to each other, let alone work together. Coates randomly threw Manifold into the BP solo, with zero reasoning (he tried to form a reason but if you had read TRO you would see why it made no sense for him to be there at all) and tried to play it off as if they were good friends/allies, Which they weren't at all. again Prior to Coates i dont think they even associated with one another, so for you to say that he is a integral part or one of his most trusted allies is perplexing because there has been no interaction between the two. As for him being chosen, i don't think it had anything to do with him being especially connected to T'Challa because, as i said, there was no connection in the first place. Storm makes more sense, Luke makes sense, Misty doesn't but that was established on panel that he didn't have much info on her because they never actually worked together and was only getting word of mouth from Luke (which ironically enough T'challa states that in issue 8 of the BP run that he had her come to Wakanda to see for himself how effective she was, yet in BP & C which took place before the events of BP # 1 they are shown to be working together, a bit of a contradiction) so that part made sense. Eden literally showed up in issue 5, seemingly out of no where with no explanation as to why he was there and helping.
Which if he gets some sort of development then whatever he can stay, but in his current showings, I wish he would go away because all he is doing is taking feasts away from T'challa (leeching) while contributing nothing to the mythos

Yeah, I think he fought Lizard men in 13 was pretty much it. Though I am expecting to show up against Klaw. I'm guessing Klaw will go through T'CHallas entire support team.

The X-Office doesn't care about Eden because he has literally no connection to the X-Men outside of being a mutant. He was created for Secret Warriors and then was primarily used in Hickman's Avengers stuff. It's like Molly in The Runaways or Whirlwind in the Avengers books. Them being mutants was just a quick explanation to give them superpowers without having to do an origin story.
The first four chapters of the new graphic novel are up online.

The Crew book takes place prior to the BP solo book, so they probably became allies at that point.
But I imagine the main reason is Coates I presume liked the character and wanted to add him to the BP supporting cast, which is somewhat lacking as far as males go.

Out of curiosity, why did they have multiple writers and artists? Was it just so it could be made faster?
