Read Wakanda forever... Eh its better then Long live for sure. Nnedi seems to be in her wheelhouse writing female characters over males, especially T'Challa
The story still doesn't make sense as to why Okoye would be hanging out with Aneka and Ayo sense they are MA now and not Dora's. Hate Hate HATE nakyzma so much. Such an insult to Nakia Nyongos Stellar take. This is just bad..
The comics itself is a 5.5-6/10 Better then long but I dunno..
I think Aaron just made Bashenga immortal. Which is a concept I've been playing with lol.

Then he stole Bashenga's backstory of its not him. Lol
But an excellent issue and one that showed Coates evolving his approach to comic writing.
Unlike some posters here, I'm not hyper sensitive to how much panel time T'Challa gets in every issue. I just appreciate how well a story is told and that issue in particular showed Coates stretching a different set of muscles to good effect.

Certainly the two issues so far of this run have been very heavy on T'Challa being an absolute bad ass, with his actions speaking louder than words.
I guess you felt it necessary to distinguish yourself like that instead of just saying you liked the issue.
Maybe you're more hyper sensitive than you think.

He's probably thinking of me. I'm the one who posted scans of the CABLE & THE X-FORCE scenes where it was stated flat out, after which Addy's "true form" was invented to explain how a universal threat was defeated by an overgrown adolescent with kleptomania and an arrogant polymath with almost no powers whatsoever. :D
I'm beginning to understand Beware of Geeks sage advice a few posts ago.
I occasionally say something not-stupid. ;) What was it?

The chronology is suspect, anyway. According to earlier canon, Agamotto was born circa 25,000 BC.
But they gotta have their big team-up, for some reason, so history be damned.

Remember those NUFF SAID/silent stories?

Black Panther 39 in Priest's run was one of them.

No, not at all.
I was responding to the poster who felt that they had to point out that T'Challa was largely absent from that silent issue when I singled it out as an issue that foreshadowed the approach Coates is now taking.
Anyone going through this thread will see that some people are incredibly hung up on how much time is spent on T'Challa in each issue and that's simply not how I measure my own enjoyment of the book.

Looks like Bashenga. Stole Bashengas story.
Gotta be Bashenga, but it does give a future writer an out if he decides otherwise
(oh just be like Coates and claim there is an older one......)

People in a Black Panther Appreciation Thread get bitter when Black Panther doesn't show up in a 2 out of 3 issue stretch
I'm shocked.

The whole billion bc thing makes no sense for a bunch of reasons. I guess they went with that because it's supposed to sound more marketable or whatever, but I think we need to just ignore that date.
-
Yeah, I don't know why they felt the need to go so far back.
... the one with no Black Panther... lol
If he8the genius of the group, maybe he'll come up with harnessing fire and inventing stone tools.
I'm sure it's way more than that of course ... But it's still a little tough to wrap your head around the notion of a genius cave man. But it's comics.
