I like the way that M'Baku and Nakia looked in the mose recent issue. I look forward to seeing N'Jadaka as well.
BP being in the Avengers as well will be interesting. I always like seeing him and Captain America on the same team. I also want to see him interact with with Robbie as well.
Yeah, I've always loved Steve and T'Challis friendship. It'll be cool seeing them interact regularly on the Avengers again.
I hope they manage to squeeze him into every Big 3 scene they can, to really sell the idea he's a core part of the Avengers. Plus in a weird way T'Calla has certain elements in comic with all 3.
Okay, do you realize what you have just done essentially? Rather than give consideration to the true potential of Panther and what he capable of you just completely diminished Mephisto instead. This is Marvel's version of THE DEVIL. I'd put Silver Surfer above Roma and That same Silver Surfer wasn't able to get with Mephisto.
mephisto is a earthly demonic force whose power doenst extend to that of a universal level. silver surfer is not a multiversal threat (which roma is) and he is not even a universal threat. read up on Roma she is not a character to be slept on.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roma_(comics)
I'm not trying to reduce mephisto or Panthers abilities but I think because roma and adversary are more obscure some here are looking to diminish their abilities.
There is more pages about Adversary in this thread than their are pages of comics he actually appears in.
Adversary is a classic **** villain.. narration talks up how big of a threat he is... but he never really does any of it on panel. It is just narration to make him seem big while he gets stuck in a metal box or defeated by Nemesis lol.
Also funny... bringing up Mephisto's low end showings when the dude has been around for decades, with well over 300 appearances. Mephistos dumb low in showings are just that... dumb, plot induced stupidity.
Adversary. meanwhile, has under 50 appearances period. His low end showings are JUST WHO HE IS. He doesn't have enough showings to define "what" his shitty ass powerbase is. So a metal box is completely in character.
Feats trump narration. Narration don't mean **** if it is not on panel. But then again, some characters are "made" on narration with no feats (coughcough) so I guess it is par for the course.
I also love the "I haven't read much on Mephisto" and then turn around and say Mephisto isn't much of a threat despite getting a seat at the table with the biggest cosmic abstracts at Marvel.
Adversary is a such a threat he showed up and got beat in like 12 pages of a comic. He got beat by a Zavardi and a collection of redshirt mystics and a lightning bolt. Klaw lasted longer.
And any fan of Black Panther who says a dude that can get stuck in a box isn't a dude T'challa, top 10 genius, someone who preps for Galactus, someone with infinite resources and is known for pulling classic marvel scientist deus ex machina out of his ass, can beat... likely hasn't read enough black panther to comment on it.
Anywho...........
and even after all of this mephisto as powerful as he is not a universal threat. adversary is. the lack of stories about him or roma doesnt make their ablitilea any less impressive nor does mephisto having more make him any stronger or place him on the level of omniversal and universal beings. mephisto abilities are tied to the mortals who reside on earth. not the entirety of the universe.
lastly adversary got beat by mystical abilities and a goddess whose powers exceeded his own. this is why when he first encountered ororo years ago he feared her. he knew the potential that flowed in her veins, the potential tchalla encouraged her to embrace.

so these characters clearly have to be from a different dimension. I'm wondering how tchalla found himself in an alternate universe.

Perhaps he was thrown thru time-space while using Shadow Physics? I too wonder how this will be explained.

My guess is that it has something to do with the missing gods, since that's still something of a dangling plot thread. Maybe he went off searching for them, but something happened and he ended up lost in time or space or something.
Either way, it's sort of fun that we're being thrown in the middle of the story. It creates sort of a mystery.

I sort of assume after T'Challa overthrows the empire, his allies there will end up staying to rule it.

I don't see the empire staying in place even if they overthrow whoever's running it.
Even if it did, Nakia and M'Baku making it back wouldn't be a surprise.

That's how i see it too. I mean realistically given his Track record, it's foolish to think he will change now
