These images are beautiful and very grateful as a Storm fan that coates is handling her voice so well! I can't wait to see how she addresses all of these storms plaguing Wakanda.
I know right and they wonder why this book is bleeding sales each month
Storm has been featured in maybe two issues and the sales were bleeding well before then. As much as you hate the character and want to associate her with any failure as it relates to Black Panther, these bleeding sales were happening prior to her involvement in the title. You might want to look to the person whose name is on the title of the book for that before throwing shade Storm's way. Just saying.
It went from bieng an undercover Dora book to an undercover Storm book.
Storm has been featured in maybe two or three issues out of 16 thus far. How does this then become a Storm book?
Goodness this "Fake Comicbook News" is too much this early in the morning.
Glad that Storm might be getting a feat for the first time in forever. Now if only Coates could show T'Challa this much love especially considering it's his own damn book. *sigh*

I would look at him if he were actually present. He has been draw on the pages, but he is the least effectual in all three series. All the quality attention goes to Doras, Shuri, and now apparently Storm(more Crew than main book for now).

I must say, that preview from Ultimates look pretty good. And when I see that happening from titles outside of his solo I can completely understand the frustration with the title. It would piss me off too.
But YAS to your statement about Storm! I don't think I have seen a noteworthy feat from her since her solo back in 2015.
I would look at him if he were actually present. He has been draw on the pages, but he is the least effectual in all three series. All the quality attention goes to Doras, Shuri, and now apparently Storm(more Crew than main book for now).
Tchalla has been very present in this iteration of BP. He may not be written in the way fans would like, but he is very much present. To try to blame Storm for poor sales in the BP book or lack of development for Tchalla is just a big overreach. If this discussion were about BP&C, I could see your point but that statement the poster made wasn't about that title. That said, I understand fans frustrations with not seeing Tchalla present but the Storm hate is just beyond tiresome at this point. At the very least if people want to gripe about the character let it be for VALID reasons, with poor sales not being one of them.
It went from bieng an undercover Dora book to an undercover Storm book.
I think it's a bit premature to say that. This will have been the first time she's done anything in this season of books apart from hanging out with T'Challa in a hotel room.
So the "Kinetic Force absorption Redirection" ability is pretty much all but confirmed at this point

I won't lie, that looks beautiful. I need that poster in HD. Normally I would be worried about seeing the force push thing but given the amount of times we've seen T'Challa kicking ass with H2H it's safe to say we'll still see more of that

Never liked this overtly poetic dialogue Coates given to everyone. Highly doubt Storm would talk like that.

Poor sales are at the feet of Coates. His stories are slow so people prefer to wait for trades. I don't hate Storm, I just find it amusing that he promotes her more than Tchalla. Then Ewing comes along and plays spoiler to his current story. Coates says "The gods are missing". Ewing says " Let me go down to the basement and dig up a few more".
It is all good comedy.

I don't think you can justify just ANY character talking poetically... but I think Storm is one of the characters that can be justified talking that way.
She talks like a goddess at times.

How is that a spoiler to Coates story? Coates isn't saying all gods are gone, just specifically the Wakandan ones.

Who happens to live in the Necropolis? Unless that is a hub for all the planets gods.

That said, i never knew that lightning and Thunderstorms had a gender.... I guess we know what needs to happen to T'Challa now in order for him to get some damn feats and become "Awesome Awesome Awesome" Like the rest of the characters showing up in the book.
Who happens to live in the Necropolis? Unless that is a hub for all the planets gods.
I don't think the Tiger God necessarily lives in Necropolis (and despite some of the things T'Challa has said I'm frankly not sure I believe Bast literally lives in Necropolis either). I think T'Challa just said that's where kings go to communicate with gods.

We have gotten similar speak in other issues. Not as poetic but I can totally see Storm internalize in this manner.

I don't see him promoting her more when she has only literally been in like two issues. I don't get how or why people think this. Maybe he writes her better but he certainly isn't promoting her more.

So then BP could talk to Odin, Thor, Zeus, ect... and never have to leave Wakanda.

Storm has shown up: end of issue 6, issue 7, beginning of issue 8, end of issue 12, beginning of issue 13, end of issue 15, and now has several panel in issue 16.. so almost half the series she has made an appearance. Shit she has shown up more times then Ramonda, Akili, and Hodari, and they are supposed to be ACTUAL supporting cast members and are actually apart of the BP mythos..
Its more so annoying how everyone else, even the Damn guests in the story, are being portrayed as more capable then T'Challa, smarter, better fighters, better prepped, and SOLVING ISSUES that are reserved for the protagonist to solve. You wouldn't see this happen with Cap, Ironman, Thor, Spidey, logan, etc I don't want to see this shit in Black Panther. Just because the X office can't get Storm right in her franchise, doesn't equate to her now Solving Wakandan issues in the Black Panther franchise

For whatever reason, we do tend to give elements of nature female designations. Mother Nature, Mother Earth, etc... not sure why exactly.

Appearances in a book does not equate to her being the focal point of the BP stories. In each of those issues what exactly did she do or say that was of value? The last thing of importance I recall was when he picked her brain about the gods during date night.
To your last point I completely agree and am not arguing with anyone who feels that way. However, to put this blame on Storm is reaching. Up until this point what issue plaguing Wakanda has she herself specifically solved?
"And the winds cries... sellout."
So then BP could talk to Odin, Thor, Zeus, ect... and never half to leave Wakanda.
This is the first time, to my knowledge, that he's ever done this. Ewing is pretty much establishing this for the first time. But this at least implies that he can.
For what it's worth, the Tiger God seems more abstract than say Thor does. It seems almost more like a spirit than just some powerful guy. So mystically communicating with it might be easier... though again I have no idea. Ewing is making this all up on the fly as far as I can tell.

In a couple of those issues she was in like 1-2 panels though. He clearly does want to use Storm, which to me is fine because for the most part he's using her fairly well IMO at least. But it's a stretch to say this is becoming a Storm book. The amount she's actually doing in the book is very very minimal thus far.
I'll go so far as to say what she does in the preview will be the first really meaningful thing she's done apart from talk.

Goddess thank you! I seriously thought I had missed something or had been reading the wrong book with how everyone has been stating this is a Storm book.
I don't see the issue either with wanting to use her. I know many are frustrated (and have every right to be) that he isn't doing much of anything in his solo book but this is misplaced blame to associate these shortcomings with appearances she has made thus far. That is beyond absurd.

At no point did I say she was the absolute focal point 8i was countering your post that she has only appeared in 2-3 issues. And I never blamed her for what is going on in issue 16 . I Said I think it's stupid how the guests and supporting cast are doing what the protagonist Should be doing. It doesn't matter really what she had done or not done in the story, the point I was getting is that she has been showing up more then actual supporting cast members of the franchise. Where is Ramonda? Why had she Been gone an pretty Much Been non-existent since Coates blew her io in favor of bringing in more of his shitty pet Characters?
That the point I'm making. This isn't a true Bp Solo. It's a stealth group/spin off book with a bias feminist agenda

If they cared to meet with him there.
T'Challa could stand there in Necropolis 'til he died of old age, before any of the Celtic Gods would come to meet with him there.
They don't know him from a hole in the ground.
Odin and Zeus might show, since he is an ally of their sons. Odin and Zeus are also tend to be dicks
so they could just as easily ignore him.
White Tiger showed up specifically because he was looking to drum up new worshippers or failing that, to just have a fight.
There's only so much use that T'Challa can get out of Necropolis.

Ramonda is being used more by Coates than MOST writers, all things considered. For a non-super hero supporting cast member, her role being limited is somewhat expected.
People like the MA, Shuri and Storm can actually fight on the front lines. That easily doubles the potential usage of those characters. Ramonda not so much.
So Storm can manifest her x clothes with her powers? I remember her doing it in the 90s cartoon, but I never took it literally.

Ewing is just playing off the main book and subtly throwing shots. lol

LOL no, Ramonda got Blown up and hasn't shown up but briefly since then. And there are plenty of characters who can be interesting without fighting. The problem here is that there is too much focus on the supporting cast and not enough to T'Challa. It should be 90-95% focus on T'challa, and 5-10% deveolping the supporting cast, which in most cases they can get devolpment while sharing some panel space with T'Challa

Ramonda getting blown up is frankly the most memorable thing to happen to her in decades. Maybe ever. That, along with her not overturning the exectuion of the Dora (also under Coates) are probably the only times we ever talked about Ramonda in any real length. The things she did actually added weight to the story. It's not a lot... but considering your complaint is that supporting characters are getting too much focus, I don't think the amount Coates is giving her is really an issue.

Because these stories are neither random or in a vacuum. These writers know what they're doing. Just like the Storm/Gambit moment. As Ezyo stated, if the current story wasn't happening it would be Bast Tchalla would be talking to.

I agree the story isn't in a vacuum. Ewing straight up references Coates story by mentioning that the Wakandan gods aren't around. His continuity as ever is quite good. I just don't see it as throwing a shot. Bast isn't around, so he's using the Tiger God, who Ewing has used often in the past. He's doing something that fits in Coates narrative... if anything I see that as respectful of Coates story rather than taking a shot at it. He's not ignoring what's going on in Coates book and making sure (to the best of his ability at least) that nothing he does contradicts it.
I know right and they wonder why this book is bleeding sales each month
I know what will boost sales! Let's give the lead role to the character that can't keep a solo or a miniseries!

So if your girlfriend was not returning your calls for a few days and you then went out with another girl and sent her a picture of it. It is just all innocent right? Just working around the continuity.
