Did he do anything of note?

For some perspectiveon that, Beauty and the Beast opened with $174m, while Hunger Games opened with $152m back in 2012.
Wow! And from what I've been hearing, it totally deserves it!

Unfortunately, this is not the space adventure we were looking for. lol
Did he do anything of note?
Hmmm. it depends. If you are looking for feats or action from him then no. However, [spoil]I think it was very noteworthy as he used his influence to give Jean a voice for mutants at the United Nations. It was just odd that she would even think to go him for help as I don't recall them ever having any sort of relationship that would allow her to approach him in that manner.[/spoil]

There was truly no other choice for the winner of the battle!

I think comic fans put too much stock in "on screen" meetings to define whether or not characters have interacted. Broadly I assume most of these people that operate on a large stage know each other.
If Dr. Strange were to show up asking for Jean Grey, I'd just assume of course he's met the original X-Men at some point. They probably all are on some super version of LinkedIn.
Plus, isn't Gentle going to be in this book? I'm pretty sure T'challa has been kept up on what's going down with the X-Men via his various contacts.

Based on the article Tchalla knows nothing of its existence so take away the world building feats.
This Empire sees him as a god and when has that ever worked out? lol
And of coarse Coates is writing it, so you know going in nothing positive will come of it. lol
As one person mentioned and I agree with, this could be Coates using BP fans as an allegory of how he thinks we see him.
There are a few ways to make it work of course. They could be from the future where Tchalla is revered and got stuck back in time. I believe Aaron said they have existed for hundreds or thousands of years. So how could they know Tchalla if it happened recently?

Where does Aarons state they have existed for thousands of years? That's definately a weird twist to all of this.

I want to say it was in his twitter response or the article explaining it. I cant remember which.

That basically gurantees some sort of time travel element, because it sounded like they were only just sending rockets into space in T'Chakas time. Maybe the Rockets he sent went into a worm hole or whatever and went thousands of years back in time. That would certainly help explain how they set up a galactic empire.

If the Empire was created by a splinter faction of nutjobs it answers the question of when all this happened since it was done without the main character's knowledge
so it could have happened anytime.
As for being stripped of world building feats, stuff that doesn't involve the main characters directly gets shoved into the background really quickly. Look at Kandor in the Superman stories. Most peeps can't name a single thing coming out of that place except for General Zod and Ursa.
Marvel fully depicted the Inhumans takeover of the Kree empire, and that might as well never happened either.
So all T'Challa is really losing is being responsible for creating the answer to what will just end up being the answer to a trivia question.
The movie received it's first rotten review on RT because there wasn't enough of T'Challa punching bad guys for him.
