I wasn't aware Gentle is an actual X-writer.

Wakandans have been living amongst other humanoids for all of their existence apparently. It’s like Nehzno was created to show how culturally regressive Wakanda truly was, but he also highlighted how much disdain the X-men have for black males. He’s powerful beyond measure, but if he ever gets too full of himself and dares to demonstrate the full might of said power - he dies. Black male mutants are created to be destroyed.

Unless they escape like Prodigy.
Interesting you said that-we did see how powerful Prodigy could be with his powers in New X-Men. Sort of saw it with Synch in Gen X. Tag to a certain point in Hellions.
Yet of the three two are DEAD and one got chump in Antman's first issue in 2015. You would think someone would want Prodigy with all the memories he has in him.

The fear of the competent, intelligent, strong, confident and demonstrably strong BLACK male is overwhelmingly prevalent in some writers and their target audience.
When considering the timeline of events, how do my fellow Black Panther enthusiasts feel about the realization that King T’Challa was indeed the most prominent black male in the X-men books for years? I’m talking marriage until now?

He had some good cameos in a few issues of Wolverine until after AvX, but that is about it. He didn't really do anything in Worlds Apart as far as I remember. I don't remember him in any main X titles, but I wasn't reading those at the time.

You highlight a major point. Even with how little we feel he was shown since his marriage to Storm, the subsequent annulment on into today, he was still featured more and had a greater impact on the X-men than any of their black male mutants. That’s a sad fact.

If we are judging promiance based solely on impact, you can made a pretty good argument for Bishop. Not that he impacted the X-Men in a good way... but he did make an impact.
Thoughts?

Saying the same shit people have been saying for 20 movies now with no original thoughts along with a boring ass voice.
Next time, post a video complaining about quipping. It would be just about as original.

If you go to just before marriage, so Hudlin's run, you have
- House of M
- Wild Kingdom
- then obviously all the Storm marriage stuff
- that terrible Storm mini that got retconned
- Wolverine, vol 3, 52-53 where wolverine and sabertooth end up in Wakanda
- Worlds Apart
- Cable and Deadpool #46
- Doom War
- AvX obviously
- wolverine, vol 5, #8
while also "supplying" Gentle to the X-franchise and funding them when they were in Utopia (I think)
Also, you would have to get credit to T'challa for integrating Storm into the Fantastic Four mythos and integrating Storm into the (brief) Avengers mythos.
I mean, really, the only other competition would be...

Him
Yikes lol
Just got back from Wakanda (San Diego Zoo Safari Park) and boy are my vibranium boots tired...
If you are ever in the San Diego area I highly recommend the Safari Park over the regular zoo which are about 40 minuted apart!
I decided to ditch the wife and kid and trek up the beachfront to the San Diego Convention Center where Comic-con is about to take over the city... 8 miles there and back thanks to the heart shaped herb was quite an easy workout even in the heat!
On the way back to the hotel I spotted this...

It's been a while since I attended Comic-con but it seems like it is more and more a non comic book convention as all other cinematic themes are featured over super hero themed projects!

Only comic related reason I go to conventions is to turn mine in to be rated. My primary reason is the guest list.

And even still Bishop’s impact waned as soon as Hope’s relevance did. And BP was still making appearances in the X-men books.
saw the film again today on video. Still very enjoyable!:D

The question we should ask is how many Black male mutants have their been on the main X-Men teams?
Bishop is the only one I can recall.
And the only prominence that BP brought to an X-book was to show how ineffectual X-writers are at writing any Black male characters let alone mutants.
