Wakanda Football...
(Translated from Xhosa of course)
Wakandan Sports Commentator: "King T'challa takes the snap at his own one yard line... He breaks left, spins... HE-COULD-GO-ALL-THE- Waaaaaaay... Breaks one tackle, then another... Leaps over a defender pivots and reverses field, breaks another tackle... Straight stiff arms a defender, breaks another tackle and flips right into the end zo... Wait a minute he fumbles the football... It's recovered in the end zone by STORM... And the crowd goes wild!"
Dora Cheerleaders: "Stormy, Stormy she's are man if she can't do it no one can!"
Wakandan Sports Commentator: "What a play and by default even though King T'challa carried the football all the way to the goal line Storm gets the credit in the box score so she has a game day average of one carry, 99 yards and one touchdown a game! WOW, what stats she might get a scholarship or drafted to the pros if she keeps it up!!!"
King T'challa: "It's just not fair!"

Right on, Flex.
They still need T'Challa, because he's the one telling them what to do.
But for those not interest in his supporting cast, this current arc might do the trick.
These are action driven stories. There's a reason an Oracle solo was never going to be a seller. No one wants to read about a hero whose main power is delegating responsibility.
-
"She couldn't have done it without them". Your words Xpac, not mine. Storm could not have done it without Wakanda. In BP's own book. Sheesh.
Yeah, she could not have done it without them. It was their prayers to her which empowered her to defeat the Adversary.
If you want to involve Wakanda in the win, this got it done. Moreso than say with shadow physics or a big metal box.

He doesn't just delegate. He's fighting too. He fought the Originators, he beat Klaw, and he bought Storm time to recover.
-
Buying time by fighting the mid bosses while the main person recovers is the recipe for every season of Dragonball Z.
The guys buying time aren't the main characters. It's the guy who becomes a God and cinches the win.

Because it has been published.
Xoac.,. I'll ask you to come up with an appreciative scenario of T'Challa winning without Storm as well. I can't believe some comic book fans lack of imagination in appreciating such a cool, resourceful character. I mean, the X-Men can do it, Iron Man, Excalibur, the Avengers, but not Wakanda. Water that franchise down so in the future we can water it down some more. Let the Storm cult take over so it can become the thundercats. This is where this could lead if I was a Storm fan.
-
They did. But please answer why the X franchise is allowed to defeat universal threats without outside franchise help and Wakanda cannot. It comes from the imagination and wanting the titular character to develop. Go and read the Mephisto story or the Doomwar story and come up with a plausible scenario where Wakanda wins without outside franchise influence. Not saying Storm can't be part of the story, but being a king with the resources at his command, why would T'Challa lay hands on any problem confronting Wakanda.
I never said only the xmen can beat universal threats. where did I say that?
I read doomwar. doom is not a universal threat. give me the issue number and book I will read it to see for myself.

To me, the main point is that T'CHalla came up with a way to win. Whether it's using Storm or shadow physics or a metal box or a bottle of windex, the important thing is he came up with a a way to win. To me at least it doesn't belittle his accomplishment because he used Storm. It doesn't matter what he uses, as long as it works. T'Challa sometimes uses people... it's what he does. He even admits to it at the end of the story.
But there was a point to it. The character wanted to get Wakanda to embrace Storm, and vice versa. This achieved that in a way that shadow physics or a metal box could not to the same degree. So even if there were other means to achieve the same outcome, this method achieved the best possible outcome for T'Challa. Hence him doing it. When you weight the multiple objectives he was trying to accomplish, it just made sense. To me at least.

OOPS I dropped something...

qft!!!! yes yes and yes!!!!
I completely agree here. I think people dont see it for what it was. tchalla was the nexus. he was the mastermind that allowed the heroes to be successful.

It's a dayum shame that a great movie like "Superfly" is about $1,334,791,521 shy of blowing Black Panther out of the cinema record books!

People just don't appreciate good gangsta drug dealing strip club music having movies anymore... Thanks Wakanda!
Flex Hectic: "C'mon let me borrow it just for a minute... I'll give it right back I swear!"
Thanos: "NO, I am not giving you the Infinity Gauntlet so you can wipe out half of a Hip Hop genre!"
Flex Hectic: "One quick finger snap and black movies and black music are set forever!"
Thanos: "Last time you wanted me to knock out Los Angeles traffic but this time you have gone too far!"
Flex Hectic: "Don't you watch World Star Hip Hop and TMZ... Help us out bro!"
General Okoye: "SUPERFLY FOREVER!"
Flex Hectic: "SEE... Next thing you know Wakandan kids will be throwing' up gang signs and strung out on all types of drugs!"

Under Gay/Coates and McGregor they already do. Lol

now I believe I see why no one wanted to post scans of how tchalla defeated Mephisto. lololol
black panther issue 3-4 (1998)
Tchalla goes to Mephistos realm and was able to defeat him by allowing mephisto to take his soul, which so happened to be tethered to all the noble souls of his ancestor (mephisto doesnt know this however because he cant read minds unless he is invited). Mephisto couldn't handle all those souls and begged tchalla to release him of his debt of acquiring his soul.

So even here, Tchalla needed help via his ancestors souls to defeat Mephisto. this is cool showing for bo and the ancestors. now my question is how was how he won against mephisto here would allow him to beat adversary????
