I don't think he'll be like Cap at all. Or even human moving. Marvel has gone well out of their way to distance him from the Peak human label he used to be saddled with. They even updated his official page on their website as Superhuman.
He will be closer to Spider man than Cap I'm sure. And also for the movies variety sake I'm sure they'll distance him from Cap.
ALL I want is a director who understands Shaky Cam or QUICK ACTION SCENE CUTS are not good and ruin fight/action scenes. That is all I freaking want. Show the punches thrown and landing in one sequence. Learn from the old Asian fight directors please.
I think BP is more along the lines of a Cap.
Cap and BP are both uber skilled fighters who are slightly meta human. It's more about them being 2 of the most skilled people on the planet than it is about their powers. For Spidey, he's a typical high school kid. For him it's about him having enhanced powers and physical stats because he's NOT a skilled fighter.
For Cap and BP, their powers just give 2 incredibly skilled fighers an edge. They'll fight like martial artists because that's what they are. While with Peter, it's all about his power set. He'll fight less like a martial artists and more like bouncing rubber ball because that's what he can do.

Yes. That hallway fight is so good BECAUSE you can see it all in very few cuts.
I don't understand why this is a hard concept for Hollywood to understand. Maybe everyone there has A.D.D.

Because most people don't really care. I mean someone a while back posted a video where they referenced Guardians of the Galaxy as having shit fight scenes and went in all this detail about how it's not what they would have done in an old school Kung-Fu flick, yet at the end of the day that certainly didn't stop GOTG from being one of the biggest grossing hits of the year.
What needs to be focused on overall is the performance and story. That is what wins people over.

People do care about quality action. Just because the movie did well doesn't mean there weren't complaints.
If GOTG had great action and fighting it would be that much better a movie.
Batman for example got plenty for it's shaky cam action but still made lots of money.

And yet the last two Batman movies made over a billion dollars each. My point is that if there were complaints about the fight scenes, they were either a minority of the people who actually went to see it, or they weren't enough to get the people who were complaining to actually not see it. Something else there was compelling or entertaining enough to keep folks coming back.

I understand your point. It's just moot.
If you take the great action out of the Daredevil series it would still be a good series.
However, with the action it's much better.
So the idea that well people still saw it so why sweat the details? Isn't a good argument. It's like saying why should Apple make better phones when plenty of ppl bought the older ones!

Anyway,
I was watching Blade 2 yesterday and I think Westley Snipes HAS to have a role in the panther movie.

I wonder if they are going to have T'Challa break Hawkeye's bow? considering they apparently lock up.

Clint probably needs the bow intact so he can shoot Scott. That's a classic they need to throw in there.
I kind of like a solitary Panther. One that kind of mopes around keeping stuff to himself.
Admittedly makes for a boring book
That sounds like T'Chaka

Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa art by Glenn Dion

That's an amazing drawing. I can see Boseman in it.

GoTG is probably not the best example to compare/contrast for well staged hand to hand combat. Although it had a fair amount of action in it, it wasn't that type of film and wasn't really advertised that way. I mean, I don't think folks went to the movie expecting Chris Pratt to go all Jason Statham on people.

The fight scenes in GOTG were a damn joke compared to the ones in other Marvel films. It had some good action sequences that usually took place in space, but what made that film work was the character interactions.
With films like Captain America and the upcoming Black Panther the fight scenes HAVE to be on point. Their ability to throw hands is a big part of those characters.
