Didn’t Coates already dumb him down?
This is very true. Beating T’Challa straight up gives Killmonger so much cred. Bane and Joker move over
I think the simple explan action is that Killmonger is simply good enough to beat T'Challa. If the bad guys can't beat the good guys then really, what's the point?
That's obviously not to say that T'Challa can't beat him too. He obviously can and did. But I think it's important to give the bad guys the occasional win.

Probably around the same time they make Hank Pym old and give Stark credit for making Ultron.
Ultimately for the purposes of the movie I have no complaints with how things went down even tho they expedited that challenge really fast. I think it’s a logical reason and I understand it and I give Killmonger credit for executing it all more than anything, but I don’t accept it as a good excuse and I believe T’Challa would agree with me. Despite everything going on he is the king and the ultimate protector fortunately (unsurprisingly) he’s able to pull it all together by the end.
Remember tools though that he wants to live up to his father's legacy, and i dont care who you are, learning you have a cousin, who's father was killed by yours and everything you thought you knew about your father is now uo in the air. Shit is gonna mess you up. Now if it were just kilmonger comes in and challenged him abd Tchalla was at 100% then yeah i would expect more from Erik to pull off a win considering he would be at the level of Hawkeye and widow and Tchalla spanked Clint. But I feel like Tchalla was shaken and it explains the loss because of the events prior to the fight and no time for Tchalla to process and cone to terms with it

The thing is movie Shuri arguably needed the tech thing, to stand out somehow. Comic Shuri already has her own thing apaort from T'Challa with the Griot stuff so she technically wouldn't need to be the smartest person in the world.
This is a forum where we keep it 100 and don't sugar coat. Everything that coats is doing wrong was present in this movie as it pertains to t'challa. If he doesn't have his mind and he doesn't have his Superior fighting skills then what does he have? Super powers cool every character has that...cool suit? Great just like ironman.
the fact that killmonger who was only a us-trained military operative was allowed to beat the brakes off of Cholla in straight up combat without cheating or any type of misdirect is indefensible.
these complaints do not take away from my love of the movie and its General tone and messaging or my love of the place that the character is at right now as far as popularity. However, when TChalla has a better showing in Civil War than he does here there's an issue that needs to be fixed. if someone were to go read to Tchalla's Marvel Wiki page and then compare that to the guy they saw in this movie they'd be very confused. then if they were to read Coat's nonsense and compare that to this guy they'd say yeah that's pretty much Tchalla.
Hell. Coogler even let michael b kollmonger be the character who had plans on top of plans. You can have Tchalla have all of his traits and still make ways for the other characters to shine. I complain because these movies tend to shape everything else as far as characters go so this the TChalla will be able to tell her that we get in movies, games, nd future comics.
Actually, this a forum where people whine about Michael B Jordan casting and whether Chadwick Boseman's biceps will be big enough for the movie...
Also where trolls and unfans run rampant...
That aside, MCU T'Challa was nothing like TNC's version.
And the cast was better too.
Any more ideas for the thread name change? Mines is Wakanda Forever!!

Wakanda Forever has my vote.

oh yeah. I've been twice. Once in 2015 for the full 4 days. I was working tho. Shooting an interest piece. I got the press passes for my team and was there coordinating the shots and helping with lighting so I didn't really get to enjoy too much. We were running around interviewing cosplayers and seeing what cool things we could shoot.
I did go again in 2016 too, but just for a day.
The parade is pretty awesome so many different creative costumes that people put a lot of time money and effort into. I thought I was super nerdy and than I went to Dragon Con and almost had my nerd card revoked. It is quite the event. If you love cosplay you'll love Dragon Con. They've got some pretty cool vendors from books to swords and other trinkets. They've got panels and wrestling events and a million other things etc. etc. etc. Also make sure to hang out for the late night events.
Definitely way more fan friendly than other conventions. Not corporatized like Comic Con.

I've been here for a lil ova 3 years now. I'm just north of the city. Hit traffic one day and decide to live close to work haha
There are at least three instances where he thinks ahead. Putting the bug on Ross. Telling Shuri to move around the truck. Having the train turned on and the final move with the knife.
Intelligence confirmed during the first lab scene.
Exactly.
Now, would I have liked to see more focus on T'Challa's intellect and political skill? Absolutely. But this was a young king, so the political stuff, which we already knew he doesn't like (from Civil War conversation with Widow) is easily forgiven. And the intellect.....we got enough to show that the guy is smarter than your average bear. He built that first suit, which in and of itself is friggin high-end engineering. With everything they had to squeeze into the film, I can be more than satisfied with that.
Now, what I am looking forward to in regards to T'Challa, is the "escalation of the sequel." You look at how much more badass Steve Rogers got from his first film to Winter Soldier. All that time running SHIELD ops after the battle of NY really paid off. I mean, if Steve had been as skilled in First Avenger as he was in Winter Soldier, then the Red Skull would have got beat like a punk.
I can't wait to see how the elevate T'Challa after this (and Infinity War). He's only gonna get better from here.

who complained about Chadwick's muscles?
I was happy with MBJ casting as soon as I saw Creed. Man can act
