I really would appreciate a story where Africans and African-Americans were celebrated. Part of the problem IMO is what Priest said about most of these major companies only having -insert person of color- writers writing -insert person of color- characters. Funny how that works though, because Bendis (who has yet to write Miles as a true Afro-Borikua or the bring up the concept of cultural assimilation within "ethnic" communities) has been the main writer of Miles Morales for a very long time. I digress tho.
The irony of #alternativefacts being used to defend WoW and Coates depiction of T'Challa muhahaha
Trump would be a fan of how Coates has made T'Challa great again
I don't know the Inhumans were never a Salesforce either and then Infinity happened. Marvel took what made the concept unique and expanded it. If we're being real BP has never really had the popularity boost not even under Coates. BP has been close before to having a franchise with aux titles like Fantastic Force, Fantastic Four and The Crew but never that crossover look that the Inhumans now have and imo he's only going to get that with a strong cast and concept. Wakanda being retcons is one of Regs best moves I just wish he did more with the mythology he altered in doing so.
The DM/MA as there own thing has been a concept that Marvel has been working with for a minute see Maberry run no doubt they would have gotten that look at a mini or series at some point gay or not if we're being honest. I expect the same for the HZ in the following months/years
Expanding a team book isnt the same as expanding a solo though.
American Panther would be dope , I just feel like at this point Kasper needs a new code name too many White Tigers
It doesn't change anything just told from the perspective of two different characters who would have their own feelings and thoughts on the matter. The way I look at BP has had 50 some yrs so far only Shuri has been the only female character to have legs in the MU as far as being used in comparison to other characters in that time frame. Reaching out to other demos in the fandom may not be a bad thing I point to Spider Girl and the teen Mary Jane comic from a few years back as examples
Gay completely changed how that whole thing went down. You can't call it a different perspective when it was pretty clear the first time around what happened. Gays version was almost like a retcon and way less emotionally impactful compared to Hickmans.
Also while BP has been around for 50 year's he hasn't been around the same as Tony or Steve, like another poster has said before, he is essentially in the same boat as miles, he is in an infancy stage and is just now moving up to that big A list where he should of been already.
Coates and Gay are not helping. Their agendas are self serving and aren't about lifting the character. I don't care about the hate Priest and Hudlins rund got Because with priest, you had unfans complaining that Tchalla Shouldn't have tech and he should rely solely on h2h and nothing Else. They never actually cared. Haters of Hudlin didn't like how he had Tchalla in their face and rolling with the big dogs and showing Wakanda as a badass place to be with a badass King.
Even if they had agenda's, they were to raise Tchalla to new heights Because they actually cared about the character.
See the biggest thing I see is that, like in his interviews, Coates went on and on about what he doesn't like about Tchalla and the mythos. He didn't have really anything good to say, he said he wanted wanted to explore the female cast and he has kept true to the interviews. Now, when you have a guy going all over media talking about what he doesn't like and how fans of the black panther aren't going to like his story and it's not a story to elevate the character... Why the hell would editorial let him do whatever? I mean really what is his end goal? To turn Wakanda to a republic and change their religion? All the while making Tchalla this idiot who lacks all tactical prowess and strategy? Who gets outsmarted by despots? I mean seriously what DOES Coates like about the mythos other then the fact he had been able to take an axe to it to appeal to his self serving agenda

Agreed 100%.
Post Reginald Hudlin'sBP run, Marvel have stayed shitting all over the BP mythos by hiring (with the exception of David Liss) writers who really haven't had the characters best interests at heart.
And though it can be argued that T'Challa's profile was raised considerably by his stellar launch onto the MCU stage via Captain America: Civil War, can anyone in good concience, claim that Coates running down of T'Challa's character in the current BP book and it's affiliates, is a good thing?
Post Hickman's Secret Wars II, all of T'Challa's in character showings have occured in books that he's guest starred in so why is Coates being allowed to trash the character (and his mythos) in his own bloody book?
I just want to say that it seems no matter who the writer of BP is and no matter what they do Hate is sure to follow
Here is the nugget-we don't mind the hate when the writer is doing a good job.
Not showcasing BP as some joke like Coates is doing will bring that hate because we still have dinosaurs that black males can not be written as individuals that can think for themselves and don't need white males to hold their hands.
For all the hate towards minority lead books here-why was BP left out of the conversation? At lest until the other books showed up? Because Coates pandered and tossed out the BP many wanted to see including those who are not buying the book.
As long as you get pandered to-comments get turned off.

That is called protecting your property.
Look at what happened to the following once the writer that defined them left.
Carol Danvers-see Civil War 2
Static-show me a company that would allow someone with ZERO writing experience to take over a book, ruin it, blame fans and then still get gigs?
John Stewart-one writer tried and DC ran him off and now John is at the back of the bus.
Cassandra Cain
Duke Thomas-they act like We Are Robin NEVER happened and they 100% showed KHary Randolph NO respect.
Stephanie Brown
Tim Drake
Would you want to do all that work and see it tossed away for an agenda to pander to crybabies? Who wouldn't buy a book with these guys in them?
3 lol.

Awards are pointless
Some folks are impressed with wortless awards especially when they've thrown a property under the bus to achieve their objective.
Wait, what?! Why are we trashing the GLAAD awards??

If my favorite characters mythos gets trashed by way of the current writer and his cronies personal agenda, whatever awards they win in the process, is trash to me regardless of gender, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.
I don't do politically correct especially since Coates decided to Boko Haramize Wakanda on some straight up Dark Continent BS.

It's getting a little too heated in here lol
Wait, what?! Why are we trashing the GLAAD awards??
I don't think it is so much trashing the GLAAD awards, as much as seeing the irony. On one hand, it's great to recognize that Marvel is publishing a comic about queer WoC,and hired a WoC to write it. But on the other, it's not a great comic.
Not even just writers who don't like him. Not liking a character is one thing. Coates hates everything about the character from T'Challa down through all the Mythos.
