Though I don't read Deathstroke, I'll jump in if they ever do a Red Lipn/Deathstroke fight as I've always wanted to see T'Challa fight Skade. A Red Lion fight under Priest might be the next best thing.
For someone who praises Priest's take on BP as being the best ever, I'm suprised that you're not all over the Priest penned Deathstroke.

Priest was being professionaly diplomatic.

I'm not so sure since he had no problems shitting all over MCU Panther, Priest is not one to hold his tongue on anyone or thing he likes or doesn't like with the lone exception going by past interviews being Sir Dwayne McDuffie

With Priest, one can never tell.

One thing to **** on super huge marvel studios
Another to **** on a fellow black writer
Plus, knowing oriest, he was probablt bitter he wasnt more involved in the movie...
BP title not getting any better I see. At least there's a good Shuri showing. Continued nerfing of T'Challa as usual.

This is what confuses me. He didn't like MCU Panther because he felt it was starkly different than his own but he loves Coates take which is even more so. Coates take is more in line with McGregor which I remember him saying he wasn't a fan of.

Like some have mentioned, maybe he's just being professional about it. But it is confusing since MCU Panther is more in line with his Panther than MU Panther.

I thought he said along the lines that what Coates was doing was interesting and something not done before. It didn't seem like he was saying he loved it just it's different

It's not necessarily that odd. He can do things with Red Lion and take him farther than any marvel writer ever could Black Panther. Sort of like how JMS could take Hyperion places he couldn't take Superman.

I think this is likely the case here. I would be salty alittle if they used my version of T'Challa and didn't ask for some suggestions at least Lol

Come friend Marvell2100, did you expect any better? LOL!

As Marvel Editorial have allowed Coates to go this far in defecating on the BP mythos, I somehow fail to see what they would have "stopped" Priest from doing with said mythos.

Not really. The 2nd half of the season was supposed to be better than the first. Shuri being back was the only good thing. Other than that, it's been business as usual. Coates should go write a Doom title and have civil unrest in Latveria. Maybe the Pied Piper can be the villain along with Willy Wonka as they lead a revolution against an iron-fisted dictator who like to monologue in the 3rd person. It should be fun to read.
