Keep in mind that the stuff isn't necessarily 100 percent indicative of what goes down in the film. Pretty much everyone involved says Scarlet Witch has a big part but she's nowhere to be seen on any of this.

Yeah of course. Gotta have "sides" for marketing purposes.
I am going to guess that... [spoil] Wanda has a big part to play in the initial "incident" judging from the scene reports that leads to the SRA.
I am gonna assume the only "big" parts are gonna be Stark and Cap, with a healthy dose of Cap characteres (Falcon and Bucky) and then T'challa acting as the "out of town/world leader who punches people" perspective. Everyone else is gonna be glorified battle cameos[/spoil]
Yea, he may not need it, and might even rarely use it (as someone mentioned, make it something that drains ones energy for a day, for writing purposes), but there's nothing wrong with having that option available. Doesn't make him any less of a person, leader, or Black Panther for consulting them in the most extreme of circumstances. Hell, if he has to consult them, then it must be a serious issue.
In fact, you can have both the library and the KOTD. The library may have the knowledge on paper and T'Challa can go from there. However, he may want more perspective or may have to questions that need to be answered. Doesn't make him any lesser of a character for doing so. Even the great ones need help every once in a blue moon.
The reason I frankly never saw this power as that useful is because I already assumed he was smarter than the rest of them anyway. He's already seemingly good at everything and one of the top 10 smartest guys on the planet. What can a Panther from the 18th century or whatever tell him about fighting Galactus or solving Incursions that he doesn't already know? I guess it's a fine option but I'm not terribly surprised he hasn't used it that much.
god, I hope T'challa switches sides and him being "Team Iron Man" is just for promotional purposes
I liked it better when Feige kept saying he was the neutral 3rd party.
The problem with neutral I suppose is that there's less opportunity to punch stuff when you're neutral.

Being neutral means you get to punch BOTH sides. ;)
Being neutral means you get to punch BOTH sides. ;)
EXACTLY!
hunt Bucky, punch them both
settle differences over a nice Wakandan dinner
go punch Iron Man
PUNCHES FOR EVERYONE!

My hunch is its just for promo purposes. Wouldn't surprise me if he "sided" with Tony, only for Tony's people to find out T'challa was doing his own thing.
I also prefer he doesn't side with Cap either. Strictly his own in terms of agenda.

Smarter than them based on what? No way to indicate that, the other panthers are already dead obviously.
And even if he is indeed the smartest, there's plenty a person from a different time can tell you that can be relevant today. Isn't that the point of studying history, after all?

True, but we study history to avoid the mistakes made by those idiots in the past ;)

In comic book super hero context, IDK how useful it could be.
There could probably be ONE story you could do where an ancient threat returned and T'challa needed council from an old Panther who dealt with it before.
But, T'challa probably has Wakanda's full history memorized so.....

On top of that, the previous Panthers are aware of what is going on in present day time, as shown by Hickman when T'Chaka asked T'Challa why he hadn't killed Namor yet, and indicated he knows current events happening at least.
As for BPs gear. I dunno why people want him to have superhuman strength or agility. As of right now he is at about low level superhuman strength, which i think is fine. Having him at Spidey strength takes away from his character. KotD could be an exception if it required prep to use. He has to meditate for a extended period of time and the usage of the power is temporary. And this strength and knowledge compliments his own, not define him.
Tech wise again Priest had it right. Standard Priest gear with shadow physics (I'm assuming the teleportation, cloaking, energy shield, and enegy gauntlets) being something he uses on occasion, like when he is using his awesome prep he may use that stuff then, but its not always on his person. As for were Panther I guess it depends on how it was portrayed, if it were baast channeling herself through him it could make for interesting stories but I'm meh about it
The were-panther thing has been a thing since Azania. The Panther God possessed an African man as a host and used him as an avatar to avenge the victims of the racist Azanian regime. Later the Panther God battled T'Challa in a contest of strength and philosophy that T'Challa won quite clearly.
IMO, a Black Panther's abilities should be as follows:

Enhanced Senses (Heart-Herb)
Peak Human Physical Reaction, Strength, Speed (Heart Herb)
Spiritual Access To Previous Panther Predecessors (King of the Dead)
Were-Panther Form (Divine Host)
You can mix and match elements like Shadow Physics teleportation tech, vibranium-based weaponry and magical artifacts of Wakandan lore as needed per arc, but as a base the above covers his techers quite well. I wouldn't make Shadow Physics a base tech since it smacks too much of Nightcrawler and is too OP for the most part but there aren't that many teleporters so who knows?
If you want to divide the Dead/Wakanda titles, then you can divide the above list, keeping peak-human limitations for the royal sovereign along with enhances sense and the remainder for KoD.
I like this. Especially calling it Divine Host. in that horrible Avengers 2 cartoon Panther's dad could transform. Maybe that was cannon and T'challa's KOTD powers have taught him how.
Library or meditation. Either way kotd shouldn't be readily accessed. It would drive a person crazy. 10,000 years of panthers yammering away at every decision he makes. What should I have for breskfast? Breakfast should consist of this or that or the othef. No! It should be the other or that or this. No! You should have a heavy work out before breakfast. By the wsy, did you get your paperwork done before or after morning ablutions?

being able to talk to force ghost should be a necropolis only thing

Because of course, a dead Black Panther will want to bother a living Black Panther into insanity.
Nah. Just treat the Necropolis as the afterlife of all Wakandans, with part of the Black Panther's duties to safeguard their people's souls to the Panther God. The dead Black Panthers stand as guardians even in paradise, and act as aids to the living one as needed. T'Challa doesn't snap his fingers to pull them out of a sorting hat, but I would say outside Wakanda it would be more difficult to bring them forth into a spectral presence.
A Black Panther's fate is one of duty.
To the Panther God, to the Wakandans and to Wakanda.
In both life and in death.
